Our four month old Frigidaire refrigerator stopped working. Frigidaire was not much help, but they contacted Cel Repair and Chris called me and asked for a description of what was happening with the refrigerator. He asked very good questions and knew what the problem was immediately. He made an appointment for the following Tuesday but called me on Monday and was able to come early. He was here promptly with the part he figured was needed and he was right. Within a short time, Chris replaced the defrost timer and my refrigerator was working. Recent washing machine fix went PERFECTLY from start to finish. From Start I mean access to info online, website, etc. First contact with Chris on the phone was direct, simple and helpful. We all have a difficult time finding responsive service providers. For appliance repair, I recommend Chris at CEL very highly. He responded very promptly to my inquiry and clearly quoted all costs upfront -- which were VERY reasonable. I had him repair my mother's washer in Rossmoor. He corresponded with me several times before hand, arrived on time, completed the repair, and touched base with me right when he was done. I called Chris to take a look at my older Samsung tv as it had no power at all. Chris came out when he said he would, diagnosed the problem and attempted to get the repair parts. Since the TV is not real new, he had to find parts either repurposed or at a shop someone had sitting around. i know he spent a lot of time locating them. When he was able to locate the parts, he contacted me to arranged an appointment to come out and install the correct part. HE always kept me in the loop. There was a shipping problem not caused by Chris, where the parts he was sent were damaged in shipment.. He did not want to accept a part that might fail due too mishandling so he re-ordered the parts.. We got the right part and tv worked fine. Very dependable, on time and does great work! They have worked on my Mitsu 65" a few times and they were prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. The first time was a warranty service call (bought the tv @ Fry's) and this last time was an out of warranty service call. Because of our previous experience with them, we sought them again for their services. There was just an initial cost to come out to determine the issue. I thought we were going to have to pay the additional costs for him to come back and install the new part but the cost of the initial visit was taken off the total cost of the service. For a local business, they get their parts pretty quick. The part needed was not in stock and they got it the next day and came back that day too. If you're going to support your local businesses for tv issues, this would be one of them. read more

My 2002 Mitsubishi rear projection took a powder after the electricity went out. I googled around and figured out it was probably the capacitors. The last sentence exceeded my electronic expertise. I originally called around when it happened and was hearing $400 to fix it. Months went by and I went without my 55" mitsubishi. I had a little extra dough this month and decided to go on yelp and find a repair guy. Thank God I found Chris. What a jewel. He thought it was probably the capacitors too. If not, my tv was toast. He got here well within the time frame he gave me and within 30 minutes my tv was back up and running. The bill was extremely fair and a lot less than $400. Thanks Chris! Came out quickly and fixed our 15 year old JVC television for a very good price. It had stopped working after a power outage and it turned out that it had a blown out part that needed replacing. Called 12-28-17, owner called back early next day, explained problem to him he felt my problem was my cable box and suggested I call them. He advised he would be glad to come out and verify but he would have to charge me his trip fee, and since he hadn't seen this type of problem before he really felt it was a cable problem. The one thing we all dread is breaking the dang TV. I sadly accidentally hit my beautiful 85 inch Samsung with a remote and it dented it enough to see lines going up and down and all over the place. No cracks. But a dent for sure. I tried looking everywhere especially during the quarantine. I came across this service and liked the reviews I saw. I'm not sure what I was expecting because I'll tell ya most TV's can't be fixed the sad truth was that mine couldn't either. I made an appointment and chris was nice enough to call me before and ask some questions. He quickly realized from my explanation that my TV was lost. Now anyone can tell you sorry can't help, but chris took time out of his day to explain to me why it could not be fixed some science stuff you can't find on the Internet. (Quickly at least) but you're also not going to find some kindness and a warm voice letting you know it'll be okay. Chris didn't know it was a gift from my mother for getting the big job. Even though it's an object, it has sentimental value. With out knowing he still helped me feel better. The way he treated me is clearly how he treats anyone he services. Our Lowe's warranty contracted with Chris to repair our Samsung dryer that had broken. Chris contacted us by email over the weekend and diagnosed the problem. I explained that we really needed our dryer working since we have a lot of kids and had tons of laundry. He ordered the parts needed and had them sent overnight and had our dryer fixed by Wednesday! My 24" Samsung Syncmaster started cycling through different color screens and not bringing up on-screen menu displays. Chris took the time to patiently work with me as I fumbled through information regarding my TV. In the end he explained what the likely scenarios are and went over the costs with me. He gave me very openly honest input on what my options are, what he could do and what he would do in my shoes, which was essentially to consider a new TV. It's too bad it makes more sense to me to go with the latter as I would be very content with offering my business to such a helpful individual. Just now spoke with a wonderful and obviously honest man. My 6 year old plasma stopped showing a picture. Only channel numbers came up with the message that no signal was available. Had a problem with my 2003 57" Sony projection TV. Called CEL TV Repair and spoke to Chris. Chris quickly diagnosed the problem as being a bad convergence circuit and was able to give me a quote right over the phone which was nice because most companies wont do that until youve paid the cost of a service call and mad an appt. Chris showed up on time and quickly fixed the problem. After he left, i noticed that my TV seemed much more blurry than I remember it being before the repair. Chris was very professional and came back to my house within 2days and went thru a series of tests on my TV and eventually determined that my Green lamp was out of focus. He put the lamp back in focus and refocused the other lamps while he was working on the TV. he did all of this at no additional charge, and in the end earned himself a customer for life. The repair was approx $300 or so, but in the scheme of things, that was about $1500 less than having to buy a new TV. at this point, as long as my TV survives for another few years or so, I am going to come out way ahead !! I'm not sure why Electrolux gave me CEL's number to repair our refrigerator, but nonetheless, the service was HORRIBLE and I would never use this company. I called to set up an appointment and spoke to the same person (Ophelia) FIVE times (in a two-hour span) in order to set the appointment. She asked several times what kind of TV we have, and each time I told her it's not a TV, it's a refrigerator. She didn't seem to think that was a problem. She asked three times for our address, and even called back the fifth time because she didn't have it (WTF??). She confirmed the appointment twice (during one of the five calls) for the wrong date and each time I corrected her by saying, "you mean Monday, right?" and she'd say "oh, yes, Monday." Well, come Monday, the repair guy was a no-show. When I called to find out where he/she was, Ophelia informed me she had no record of the appointment (again, WTF??). Apparently speaking to her five times on Saturday wasn't sufficient to set up an appointment on Monday. When I asked her what went wrong, she had no clue and couldn't offer an answer. I don't know if they actually even repair refrigerators but I would NEVER attempt to use them for anything. read more
