I'm leaving my review here as well as David's number comes up under Tektris movers and this company should be ashamed. Please read my review LONG POST! Please read this all,, it could save you on your next move! I've had the most terrible moving experience with this company. I will be leaving my review under this one and their Tektris Movers account as well! Starting off, the movers were 3 to and a half hours late, which they initially have a 2 hour window for arrival. No one attempted to even call and give a heads up that they were going to be running late. I reached out to David who is usually the person that I speak with, I'm assuming he's the manager. He was very non chalant about the lack of communication that we were receiving. He then tells me that when the movers are close, they will call.. Well another 30 mins flew by with no phone call, so I called him back and he said they were 15 mins away. One of the drivers finally called me and said they were actually an hour away! At this point, we were well over the 2 hour threshold and even after the movers called back and stated that they were 15 mins away, they actually showed up 30 mins after that. The next terrible thing is, I later found out that they scratched my guitar completely and placed it back against the wall on the back side so I couldn't see, I was devastated after I saw that because my guitar was very expensive. The movers however did get everything loaded in about 35 mins after their arrival (I will give them that) but they also waited until we got to our new home to ask me if I grabbed the screws that they were responsible for getting since they are the ones who disassembled our things, that responsibility wouldn't fall on us to keep up with screws. After I told one of the guys that I didn't have the screws and that would've been on them to get, he didn't say anything and so we assumed that his partner may have gotten them because I came back to ask was everything good now and ware they still going to be able to put the bed together and they reassured me and said yes. They in fact DID NOT put my bed together after I had to pay an extra $75 for an extra 30 mins that it took for them to move us due to their tardiness.... They only assembled the bars on the bed and left the entire frame in the middle of the floor and one side wasn't even drilled in correctly! They then decide to tell us at the last minute to confirm that they actually left the screws at our old apartment which was 45 mins away and we would have to go back and get retrieve them and bring them back to our new home for another 45 mins drive! Unfortunately, the next day we had to go back and all of the screws weren't even there and I had to literally go to Home Depot to purchase more screws on my dime and assemble our bed... my wife and I had to sleep on our mattress on the floor the same day because our bed wasn't even assembled properly. I've tried many attempts to have this corrected and the only thing the movers said was "I don't know what you expect me to do about it!" I've even reached out to their manager David and tried to work out a resolution to either have them come back to finish the job or refund me my last payment portion since they didn't fully complete the job (unfortunately with this company, as soon as the next hour hits they have to collect the next payment during the job immediately and send screenshots to their boss). David has been terrible at communicating with me and has done everything in his power to avoid refunding me my partial payment and even giving me a call back. He has purposely not returned my phone call or responded to my text message that I sent over to him. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY TAKE CASHAPP AND ZELLE ONLY AS A PAYMENT AND IF YOU EVER NEED TO DISPUTE ANYTHING WITH THEM, THE BANKS, CASHAPP, AND ZELLE WONT HONOR IT BECAUSE THEY LOOK AT IT AS A CASH PAYMENT AND WILL LOSE OUT ON YOUR MONEY! PLEASE BOOK WITH ANOTHER LEGIT AND RELIABLE COMPANY! read more

Did use them as a service but I can say I think the quote was very expensive considering 3 others gave a more exact amount. We have move several times and companies like these tend to be 3 times more expensive than the quote. Proceed with caution and get it in writing read more

The helpers were great but the lead guy very rude and when we questioned why they stacked our things in our storage unit to the ceiling he quoted "you should have called peach movers". We have to hire someone else to take stuff down. read more

Horrible experience! Had to pay cash when movers arrived (said their credit card system was not working). Movers didn't listen to any of the loading details i gave them. I had wrapped and protected most things but i wasn't able to get a few of the larger furniture pieces. I caught them dragging an Armoire down the stairs, on it's side....wood on wood. Another piece was dragged against the wall making white (sheet rock) marks on it. They were not using moving blankets or a furniture dolly, just manhandled things down two flights of stairs.....scratching my expensive furniture as they went. The final straw was watching them damage a large entertainment armoire and i immediately raised my voice in frustration and the guy lied to my face and claimed it was already broken. I was standing three feet away and watched (and heard) the molding break. The guy was trying to lift the piece by pushing up on the molding and the molding snapped off. The guy continued to lie about the damage. I immediately called the company and forwarded several pictures of the damage per the managers request. He said he would get back to me the next day. It's been 3 weeks and i've left a message daily but i haven't received a text or call back from them. Next step will be small claims court! This is a "shady" company! the worst experience. movers started dragging mattress outside. they do not use any protective items. when asked about moving supplies and moving blanket, they got mad and left king bed in the middle of the street. dispatcher hung up on me. luckily they were caught on camera. be careful with movers with a mask. absolutely worst experience ever may 2024 read more

We had a bad experience with Tektris Movers. They damaged our stuff and lied about how it happened. Our microwave front glass panel was shattered and the guy in charge, Ron, told his corporate bosses that I broke it taking it off the truck. Now, I did help unloading the truck to help speed things up but Ron and I know I did not break it and it must have broken on the way to our new home. I even said to Ron "So I guess that broke on the way here?" and he said that it must have. I mistakenly let it go because I know there are risks in moving but I should not have. That evening my wife and I noticed one of our son's toddler bed's legs was completely torn off, our washer and the corner of our TV was damaged. We have yet to hear their excuse for those damages. Hopefully I will update you on those items. Bottom line, before you finalize your move make sure RON and his crew do not move you. I'm not sure about any other crew but Ron is a flat out liar. Absolutely PERFECT moving day. And anyone who's ever moved, especially after being in one place for longer than 2yrs, knows that moving day can be an absolute DISASTER. Tektris Movers showed up EARLY, and immediately got to work. They needed very little direction, and got my apartment packed and moved in 3.5 hours. I did do some of the packing, but they did a great deal of it as well. They were flexible, easy to work with, and most importantly, they were COVID19 SAFE! They wore masks the entire time, and made sure to leave all the boxes in the appropriate rooms. What was most impressive was seeing them help another moving company unload quickly, so that my move could begin. Hiring them would be the very best thing you ever did. And after the year we've had, you NEED to hit the "easy" button. I am not moving again any time soon, but I can't wait to hire them again. HIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY. read more

I have used Tektris movers twice now and both times I was beyond pleased with the service. They arrive early, they wrap anything that needs to be wrapped, they're delicate with your fragile items, they move quickly and efficiently, and they are polite and respectful. Extremely unprofessional! Wasted my valuable time. I need to move from Georgia to South Carolina(not far from GA border). First asked for $100 non refundable deposit. Then 50% non refundable deposit because it's an out of state move (they knew it all along). When I was ready to pay , then suddenly jacked up the price $200 ! I am glad I didn't have to do business with these folks. Must have been a nightmare!! Fortunately I found another reliable move in time. read more

They were extremely professional and got the work done in a few hours. They were very polite and courteous and asked us where we wanted the furniture placed. Tektris movers were amazing! They were on time, efficient, and had the most pleasant demeanor.

Chris and Gabriel were very professional and equip to move my family. They were strategic on how they moved and packed our furniture. Polite, clean, friendly and very competitive cost wise. After considering several companies, I chose Tektris based on reviews and the quote received. About two days before the move, I began to regret my decision. The company sent automated text messages to book the move (to which I replied twice) but they received them. Consequently, I ended up with a 2:00pm move time. On the day of the move, the movers showed up at 2:48 and it took them until after 6pm to load my house. Since it was so late they had to keep my furniture loaded on their truck overnight and return the next day to unload. The only time available was 6Am. They showed up on time and unloaded quickly but left my beds half assemble, washer and dryer thrown into the laundry room (apparently they don't plug them in) and my dining room table is still sitting in my garage waiting for them to come back to disassemble it and move it upstairs. As a result of their carelessness. I've had to pay someone to tighten my beds and connect my washer and dryer. This move was expensive and exhausting! if I had it to do all over again. I would never deal with Tektris! read more

They were fast at moving me in and out. Tektris followed up appropriately beforehand and after the fact. I've had several movers on the past, and had issues with them taking too long, dinging up the walls... that did not happen with Tektris. read more
