The time came for hubby and I to move again, so I booked B&B again, expecting the same great experience I had 3 years ago. It was anything but. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I can't even list all of the damaged items that we are finding here. There was a complete lack of care for our items. Thank goodness we insured our couch and marble coffee table; those seemed to be the only things that didn't take a beating. My dining table is pretty much destroyed. A money bag in one of my wardrobes has all of the cash missing (yes, I should have taken it out, but it's still a low blow). Suit bags with my husband's wedding suit and dry cleaned items were strewn on the floor with a box and large suitcase on top. The cherry on top: they took a huge chunk out of my pristine new lawn. NEVER AGAIN--save yourself the trouble and book a different company. read more

I would absolutely recommend these guys. On-time, courteous, wrapped everything (furniture, TV, mattresses, etc) super nicely, communicative, careful, and fun :) Most of my moves I've done the old-fashioned HARD way -- never again. 5/8/18. Whatever B & B. You can define yourself with my bank. My review : Unfortunately I have to rate Them with 1 Stars. I called in spoke with Tanisia about obtaining a quote on the 16th of April for my move scheduled in May. After shopping around I figured they had the best rate of $170 minimum of 2 hours and $150 deposit. I proceeded to pay the $150 deposit on 4/20. Because I already received the quoted information and she had my inquiry saved in the system, we didn't go over anything because you figure it's their standard the pricing will Not change. I then proceeded to call back in the other day to confirm the total so that my dad could pay for my move and spoke with Courtney (I'm guessing is the owner) who proceeded to go into detail about all the pricing except their cancelation fee. He then brought up $170 an hour vs the $170 for 2 hours that me and the first rep discussed. I told him I would need to cancel and how would I cancel because that's not what I was told. He then proceeded to say it's $80 travel fee, $75 non refundable fee, all the fee fees fees. Their fees maybe standard but the way she told me $170 2 hour minimum $150 deposit. In a common world when you say $170 - 2 hour you can assume that $85/ an hour 2 hours = $170. Unfortunately, when I finally checked the receipt which had all the additional information the other day I called in to inquiry about it. Why should I have to pay $75 for a service that I'm not receiving that's almost 3 weeks before my scheduled date?!! I completely understand paying a fee if it's within 3 days of your move but 2 weeks out for a miscommunication?? No way. They tried to stay professional and so did I but I will recommend ask as many questions as possible!!!! I also found some great movers with the same stats etc for only $250 with 3 men. I have used multiple different moving companies in the past and I really enjoyed working with B&B. They were punctual, very efficient, and even made sure our stuff didn't get soaking wet during a torrential downpour in the middle of our move. The movers were friendly. Nothing was damaged. They even had to move our stuff past another truck that was in our loading dock of my building during our scheduled time. The other truck was for another move and they took much longer than our guys! I was moving out of a high rise with max 2 bedroom apartments, so I can say they likely didn't have much more stuff than I did. I highly recommend this moving company and will not name names on the other, but just know this company is the best! read more

Yelp failed me on this one. There were two reasons I went with this company: 1. The Yelp reviews seemed great. There are a lot of sketchy moving companies out there, but everything I read on Yelp made these guys seem like a legit, professional company. 2. They were quoting about the same price as everyone else: $175/hour + a $95 trip charge, with a two hour minimum. The difference was they quoted 4 movers whereas everyone else only offered 3. For the same price, why not have 4 guys and make everything go faster, especially when you're paying by the hour? Well, here's what actually happened on the day of the move: 1. Only 2 guys showed up. Now the move is going to take twice as long as I thought it would, when I could have gone with a different company and at least had 3 movers. Remember, they charge by the hour. 2. I caught one of the guys dragging a box full of fragile kitchenware down my stairs and allowing it to slam down every stair along the way. They clearly were not taking good care of my stuff. 3. Only 20 minutes into the move, one of the guys told me he was expecting a tip. This is the same guy I mentioned in (2). I was planning on tipping anyway if they did a good job, but I couldn't believe the guy had the nerve to say that. When's the last time you went to a restaurant and the waiter asked about a tip? 4. Many of the reviews on Yelp show pictures of a uniformed crew who showed up in a B&B Movers branded truck. The guys I got were not uniformed and showed up with an Enterprise Rent-a-Truck. This wasn't a huge deal, but just seemed a little off. 5. I was told they would show up between 9:30AM-10:30AM, and that they would contact me when they were on the way. So 10AM rolls around and I haven't heard anything. I tried contacting the office by phone and email to confirm they were coming, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. They NEVER followed up with me either. They did show up right at 10:30, so technically they did show up "on time", but I couldn't understand why they wouldn't have showed up earlier considering it was a morning move. Overall, the move was very unprofessional. They got the job done, but it felt sketchy all the way around. I went with this company in part because I was SPECIFICALLY trying to avoid a sketchy moving company, but from my experience, that's exactly what I got. The only thing saving this review from getting 1 star is the fact that they did ultimately charge me a reduced rate since only half the crew showed up, and I have to give them credit for that. But they were going to have to do that anyway because I was not about to pay for a 3 hour move that would've only taken half that time if I had actually gotten 4 guys. Avoid this company. Moving is stressful enough. Paying for movers is well worth it, but I would recommend paying a little more and just getting a truly professional company. read more

Since I posted my previous review, I received a call from the VP of Ops, Courtney Chambless. He personally addressed my concerns and made a few points of clarity and wanted to see how they could make things right. Courtney was incredibly apologetic for the service I received. He also stressed that between Friday's packing and Saturday's delivery, he wished I reported the concerns I had about the dish pack and appropriate padding for our floors in our new home. NOTE: He made it clear that he wasn't trying to blame me for the quality of service. I sincerely asked what difference it would have made and he advised that he and other personnel could have stepped in to ensure that our requests for extra padding for the floors and bubble wrap for our china was granted. I, too, wish I would have done that; the reason I didn't is because the lead POC the day of our packing made it clear that I had nothing to worry about--they'd take care of everything and pick up the additional supplies before they returned the next day for our actual move. Additionally, Courtney clarified that their dish packs are double corrugated, as listed on their website. These are in accordance with travel standards and regulations. Although it was not specifically what I requested and it looked like the other boxes, it was appropriate for china and using extra wrapping paper for each piece is a standard practice of theirs. As Courtney mentioned, their dish carton and the specs are listed on their website under their Boxes and Packaging Supplies section; the details regarding this in my previous review were my mistake and oversight. As I previously mentioned, our floors were damaged in our new home. This was listed on my claim and fulfilled in full. Courtney inquired about this and explained that property damages are handled differently than damages to our household good items. This was a major point of concern to me because the valuation options provided before the move were limited to that of our household goods, not including our new home which was of paramount concern to my husband and I. I went back and forth with the moving crew about why I couldn't choose a higher valuation to protect my home and ultimately chose the one based on our household goods. Unfortunately, they didn't address my concerns entirely -- nor clearly--, but according to Courtney, they were correct. Because property damages are handled separately, Courtney graciously offered to continue the discussion about the damage to our floors if the builder charges us. Much appreciated!! A few more observations: Courtney noted that I should have been advised the difference between coverage for our household goods and property damages via email. I double checked my emails from B&B Movers and could not find such details. Maybe I missed it in the paperwork the moving crew provided on the day-of? This is key, as they did not verbalize this information, other than assuring me that they would take care of our belongings, although they clearly didn't. Additionally, I received an email from Tanisia with a subject, "Thanks for Choosing B&B Movers, Inc." asking me to write a review and requesting referrals to which I replied that we were still unpacking, but had already found broken items and damages to our floors. In that email, I asked how do I go about submitting a claim and how long did I have to do so. Two days later I received the claim form from Tanisia, but no personal acknowledgement or expression of concern for the damages other than the standard text on the actual claim form. A little customer service and empathy would have helped. Perhaps it was a cut and paste reply, because she also didn't answer my question regarding how long I had post-move to submit the claim form. I had to ask again and she replied that the time limit was 30 days. Although claim settlements with B&B can take up to 90 days, ours was settled in about 60. All in all, we REALLY appreciate Courtney clarifying the details he did. It goes without saying that the other issues we experienced were inexcusable to which Courtney agreed. He also sent a follow-up email after our chat apologizing again and promising to investigate and reprimand members of the crew. They'd set up additional training and customer service classes for their crews, as well. In good faith, Courtney refunded 1.5 hours of our rate of $165 for our troubles and inconveniences as a result of this move. This is something I did NOT request, but he OFFERED this partial refund! I certainly find it to be an appropriate response in the spirit of customer service and customer satisfaction, but we all the more sincerely appreciate this gesture! Although we shopped around and they provided the most competitive price, it was their Yelp reviews that sold us on going with B&B. Based on Courtney's follow-up and their consistently favorable reviews, I trust that this was an unfortunate and isolated incident that should not happen to another customer. read more

A few years ago I met one of the representatives at a Chamber of Commerce event. I kept her card and said I would call if I needed their services. A couple of months ago I called and reserved a date for a move of some furniture I wanted to sell. I was moving the furniture to a storage space. I gave them $150 deposit. I changed my mind about selling the furniture, so they advised me that I could use the deposit towards a future move. I've sold my home and have called several times and left messages for someone to call me to discuss my move. They won't return my calls. I don't understand why they would refuse my business because of $150. My next review is with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I used this company about 6 years ago and decided I would use them again for my recent move. They were efficient back then and still are today. Initially I was told a window of 9:30-10:30, they showed up around 11am, which I was fine with, I didn't have too much stuff and I was ready to go. Three guys showed up instead of the four like I was originally told but again, not a big deal, they were moving a 2b/2b condo and they move FAST ! All three of the guys were so polite and kept things moving along. I will definitely use them again in the future. The whole move took less than 2 hours. I tipped ($60 per guy). I finally found a moving company that is worth a darn. Too bad I'm never moving again. These guys showed up on time, worked their butts off, and didn't break a thing. I didn't even know this was possible. My move was only 5 miles but we have a 4 bedroom house with lots of heavy/awkward stuff. They put everything exactly where we asked them to, put together all of our beds just like they said they would, and were done within 6 hours. All in (including tips) the move cost me $1,500. First thing I did was check Yelp.. Called several n just felt most comfortable with B&B. I was expecting three workers but five showed up. Hey, I wasn't paying by the help. Pros; Fast, respectful, wrapped all furniture, the moving blankets looked new not typical nasty dirty rags, and careful moving in n out. Cons; they tip furniture on moving dollies which when it's a piece with drawers everything inside ends up all over the place. I'm still finding things from top draw in bottom drawer, or still looking. Never had that with other movers is only reason I'm mentioning it. Also estimate of move was considerably higher. Great guys - had to maneuver up stairs and down a hill together everything in place. Took great care of all of our items. I called them again for a quick move within a five mile radius of Smyrna. Book them for my move on Fri. They DO NOT have a physical location, like the bigger moving companies. Their rate is $175/hr. Minimum of 2 hrs. $150 deposit. 4 guys with an Enterprise rental truck, with lift gate. The older guy, driver, was very professional. They worked hard & fast. Got it done under 2 hrs even. I didn't have alot of things. Move was only 6 miles away. They work very smart. Like raising the lift gate next to the stairs, so they didn't have to go up/down the stairs. I didn't care if my belongings get scratched. No biggie. Only gripe was that one young guy went down the stairs with my washer, banging it. It was wrapped in blanket, but he should have went down the stairs gently, or get his buddy to help ease it down the stairs. The internal parts could have been damage by the heavy banging. Luckily, it still works. Gave them $100 tip. read more

Scheduled a move date for a Wednesday, found out on the Saturday prior that the logistics of moving into my new rental did not lend themselves kindly to a moving truck. Called in the AM on Monday to cancel my Wednesday appointment(49 hours away). The confirmation letter for the appointment clearly states if you cancel your appointment 72 hour in advance, you are entitled to half your deposit back(75 dollars). I was unable to cancel 72 hours in advance due to it being the weekend and B&B movers being closed till Monday, and I wanted to confirm they used standard moving trucks and not regular pick-up trucks. Once I confirmed they did in fact use large moving trucks and not pick-up trucks I proceeded to ask the person on the phone to cancel my moving appointment. She said they would keep the whole $150 deposit because I did not cancel 72 hours in advance(49 hours was not good enough to get half back). I said yes but the circumstance did not make that a possibility for me or I would have. She basically said I don't care at all and when I asked if there was someone else I could talk to about this, she said firmly, "no." This of course hurt my feelings so now they get 3 stars. This company has great reviews and I have no doubt the actual work they do is top-notch from the look of all their positive reviews. I can confirm though that dealing with the booking and office folk (at least in my case) was unpleasant. Keeping my entire deposit in this situation is obviously anti-consumer and just generally greasy business practice. read more

They moved my family about three years ago we move a three bedroom home and a full basement They came on time with only a weeks notice, they had 5 movers and a Forman, it took them 4 hour to load the truck , drive 40 miles on the other side of town, unload and setup.
