In 1.5 hours, Mateo and Ben unloaded our fully packed Pod, safely moved everything into our new 3-story house, never scratched the floors or walls, and carefully placed all furniture where we wanted. They took care to prevent our rescue dog from running out of the house, and also assembled two beds. We are SO impressed. Because COVID is still active, they wore their masks the entire time without us needing to ask. I'll refer them to all friends and family in the area. Got the job done but not without a few hiccups. Texted the night before that truck was not available until later. I waited about a week to hear back from the business about broken furniture we found but no attempts have been made on their part which lowered my stars even further down the rating. With that said, communication is lacking from this company. Background: The initial contact was very quick and proactive. The initial walk through also seemed quick but confident. Their quote was reasonable compared to others. They said one truck and not much to pack on their part since we packed most everything. So far, so good, right?! The day of move, a team showed up - all very nice. Very communicative, responsive and helpful. Towards mid-move, I was notified we now needed another truck or a trailer. I trusted their advise, being the professionals. We were not expecting additional vehicles based on the initial walk-through, but asked how much it would be and until departure, no one gave us a specific number, other than "wont cost that much" from their lead or "could be around $100" since they owned their own trailer (but don't quote me on it, was said). All possibly well intentioned from the front end, but "not that much" or "about $100" ended up another $1,200 more to the final cost for the trailer alone ($400 for the trailer & $840 to drive it). I should also mention the only additional costs from the time of quote that they said we should prepare for are 1. possible hours needed to unload at the final destination and (a vague idea of) 2. gas. The initial quote was for 26ft truck w dolly & insurance, driving, loading, unloading and flight back. After the move, we then received the final invoice charging the same, but the total was $1700 more than the initial quote, including $500 gas which was vaguely disclosed. I should also add that the loading time was supposed to deduct an hour at the suggestion of the company, which they did not, but added a half hour to unloading without saying anything. There was some negotiating towards the end with tit for tat, but to be quite honest, they were not able to fully communicate the financial/business side clearly and transparently from the time of pick-up. No one seemed to be talking to each other. To add insult to injury, we started to sift through our items in storage recently and have already found one barely used beautiful coffee table cracked at the legs and unable to repair (we already through it in the dumpster, angry of course). We also found large scrapes on our leather dining room table, which will likely also not be able to repair. We are very, very leary what else we are going to find when we unload. On that note, we contacted the company to ask about insurance they said we had and no one has responded for over a week now. The lack of response has bumped my rating to the lowest of stars - They not only made the second half of their transaction awkward and costly, but they are also avoiding responsibility for the damage they caused to the furniture they are supposed to be taking care of and covering with insurance. These guys started off great and we picked them because they had such great reviews but would not recommend. They were not transparent and proactive about the building costs in favor of the customer or future business. They were not transparent about insurance and how to file. And they damaged our furniture to the point of a loss - not even fixable. We are very disappointed and many lessons learned. The team that came out did a great job unpacking and assembling our furniture, but they left behind all packing materials. You can count on courteous and professional helpers, but just know that you'll be overrun by boxes, plastic wrap, and packing peanuts when they're gone. Removal of such materials is standard with competitors, so factor that into your decision. read more

My movers Dnero and Waldyr were kind, professional, and quick. They made efficient use of space in the Pods. I was afraid that I didn't have enough Pod space but they surprised me. Our experience with In And Out was nothing short of excellent. We just made a very complicated and stressful move from out of state to Atlanta and had several unexpected issues and emergencies arise on our way to our new home. Julio and his team were so responsive, accommodating, and patient with us when we needed to reschedule our move (twice!) very last minute. And on the day of our move, our movers, Johnnie and Will were amazing. They arrived right on time, were super friendly, and got straight to work doing the job quickly and efficiently. We just finished an outstanding move with this small but highly customer-focused moving company. They are the best local moving company we have ever used in Atlanta--and we have been here for 46 years! We had some very difficult restrictions attached to moving my Mom's things out of her assisted living facility. The movers could not be in the building (due to Covid restrictions) between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. We started at the top of the Yelp list and were turned down by the top rated firm and another one in the Top 5 and were told that the "market was saturated" right now and it would be hard to find someone to work either at night or early in the morning. Well, the market might be saturated but the kind folks at In and Out Moving (make sure you get In and Out MOVING...and not one that sounds like them) were very accommodating. Their scheduler, Bella, was one of the most accomodating professionals I've ever talked to. She said their company often specializes in moving senior citizens and were totally fine with the moving restrictions we had to work with. Bella never missed a call and we texted after (and before) normal working hours to plan the move. Her cheerful emails and texts were such a welcome change. She was clearly happy to have our business--I'm talking about Chik-Fil-A, Publix Grocery and Ritz Carlton, Amazon Prime level-of-customer service (yes, they were that good). They came into the senior community at 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday evening and were packed up before 9 p.m. Then they came back the following morning and loaded the truck and brought it the 35 miles to our storage facility. The men--led by team leader James--wore masks and gloves (per the facility's Covid requirements) and packaged everything neatly, wrapping furniture and boxing things professionally. Their prices were very competitive and their people extremely efficient and friendly (and polite to the senior facility's staff). From a customer's standpoint, here was the best thing: in this time when Covid cases are peaking (again) and we were trying to quarantine--this move was done with zero face-to-face contact between the customer and In and Out Moving. Like Amazon Prime drop-offs, everything was handled over the phone and through texting. This included sending to Bella at In and Out Moving some photos of the rooms that needed packing and having Bella text us when the moving crew was on their way to our storage facility. A hands-free move, complete with the ultimate social-distancing. If you want a great moving company started by a customer-focused young entrepreneur (Julio Salazar) you need to give Bella a call. Sorry it took so long to repost on here. The mover in question was Avery, however, I am going to rescind my previous review of the company and up it to 5 stars. They got us moved wonderfully... Now, the comments made by the mover...after knowing all I know now, I'm not sure that he made them at all. My fiance at the time, I found out this past couple years, is a lying, abusive, cheating narcissist. Every word out of his mouth must be questioned. My apologies to this company. My ex informed me of this alleged conversation he had with the movers after he yelled at me to "shut the **** up" in front of them after I mentioned that a mover looked familiar (inquired if he frequented a business I worked at). Amazing, amazing job! Called them the day before I needed to move my things into storage when i realized i just had way too many things to move on my own in a short time. I wanted to take the stress off of me and I'm and Out Moving did exactly that. Please do NOT confuse this company with "In and out Movers" . I almost did and about had a heart attack after i booked the move and read their reviews. This is a small company that knows how to pack and move fast. Matayo and Jim were the movers are they arrived 10 mins early and finished 30 mins ahead of schedule. Used them twice. Great attitude and experience movers. Needed them with less than 48 hrs notice and they delivered. What makes them great is they hustle and work as a team. Was also cool they have a nice trailer that has all the wrap and blankets. Sure it's more expensive on paper but not really. However, if anything is broken or damage no matter whether its expensive or inexpensive they will not reimburse you. Here is my complete review (thank you Yelp for being so user friendly!): Julio and Titus were extremely polite and worked incredibly hard, even drove the UHaul for me to fit it into a tight space (& made it look easy)! They worked until my whole space was loaded and asked me if I needed anything else before they left. I would be proud if they were my boys. My boyfriend and I needed some very heavy furniture moved out of our second floor apartment. We called several moving companies which all gave us outrageous quotes. In and Out Moving gave us a really reasonable quote, BUT, more importantly, Julio and Drew are the most professional, most polite movers I have ever used. We had a very old antique table that they took extra care with. I was also really surprised how fast they got everything moved. Every time I've used any other moving company in the past, the guys have always dragged everything out and made it take as long as possible. Not these guys. They were so efficient. They obviously know what they're doing. There's a reason they have all five star reviews! If I could give more than five stars I would. In and Out Moving is my new favorite moving company. I rented a UHaul truck for the heavy furniture in my 2 bedroom apartment and needed 2 strong men to move the furniture. In and Out Moving provided that help at a very good rate. Waldyr and Jacob were the perfect guys for the job. They were early to start and drove the UHaul for me. They listened to my instructions and treated my furniture with respect. They loaded my storage unit with the heavy furniture and despite how heavy and challenging it was at times Waldyr and Jacob were polite and efficient. These guys (Julio and Matteo) were the best movers I've ever hired. They were very professional, polite, friendly, and efficient. They were able to disassemble and reassemble some complicated IKEA furniture for me. When my apartment's elevator unexpectedly stopped working, they found another elevator (further away from my unit) and were still able to move everything within the allotted time frame. My husband and I were moving our parents from their individual residences into one complex around the corner from our home. We had a mover lined up, and about 10 days prior to the move they backed out. I found In and Out on Yelp, and they had stellar reviews. I reached out, and explained what happened,and they had zero hesitations stepping in. The original plan was to load both homes, and then do a single unload. On moving day, the 26 foot truck I had reserved through a third party was not available, so we had to take a 16 foot truck. That meant that the movers were going to have to do two separate loads and unloads. There was zero grumbling or complaining from the crew. Those four guys busted their tails! I was beyond impressed with how hard they worked! I was in constant communication with the administrative team the weekend prior to the move. The professionalism runs deep in within this company y! DO NOT USE IN AND OUT MOVING. They literally stood me up today for my move. I called and made the appointment on Sunday the 10th for today, Saturday the 16th. I spoke to the driver today at 3:00pm. He told me he'd be here between 4-6pm. He never came, never called, and never called me back. He did not respond after I spoke to him at 3pm. I am beyond pissed off, hurt, disappointed, and financially put out. Now I have to wait until Monday to finish my move, which means an additional two days of rental charges. My plan is to tell everyone in the Atlanta area about this incident. The unprofessionalism is uncanny, unparalleled, and like nothing I've ever seen. This is a first and a definite lesson.
