For the green fees, this is a good course. There are lots of elevation changes and on certain holes, you can't miss too far right or left off the tee. Nearly all the greens were in good shape, the bunkers were well maintained, and the fairways and tee-boxes were in good shape for the middle of winter. I didn't get food or a drink from the bar, but it was really busy. There was a nice patio outside that overlooked much of the course. This was the first time I had played here in awhile, and I will be headed back sooner than later. read more

I paid $164 for two rounds with a Golf Now discount to play this Cow Pasture. Really poor conditions. Tees were nothing but divots, dirt, and dead grass. Greens, which I was told were aerated 1 month ago, were apparently not reseeded or properly watered since. Still aeration holes filled with sand. VERY bumpy and slow. So disappointed. read more

Good golf course. Challenging enough and well taken care of. It does get busy so expect to be paired up if you're single or 2 some. Some of the holes are just possibly difficult (up & down with lots of blind shots) but that gives challenges I guess. You can call in for food pickup before finishing the first 9. I usually like to just play through and eat at the end. Good here has been excellent! I look forward to enjoy the food and beer after 18 holes. Kitchen closes not too late so make sure to start playing early enough. Also there's event (like weddings, birthdays etc) sometimes and kitchen closes, so be prepared for that. read more

I came here for my birthday for a round of golf with my brothers, the course was beautiful, well maintained even though it poured rain for the 2 days prior. Super thick fog rolled in so unfortunately we only got 6 holes in. We came back to the club house to see if we could get a rain check and Lance had locked up and left. I don't know if he had a bad day but from the time we called in the morning to the time we came in to set our tee time he was disrespectful and unpleasant to deal with. I hope to come back and play again soon considering this is my favorite course to play. Will update about the rain check if they ever call back. read more

Heads up...if a golf cart is rented, they charge you a $20 "riders fee" for anyone who SITS in the golf cart (regardless of golfing or not). The fee is in addition to the cart rental. This is a hilly course so walking it is not fun. Other courses usually just charge you for the golf cart (about the same fee as this course), not per rider. Customer service in the golf shop and bar/grill is sub-par and needs major improvement. Scenery is nice, but there is a lot of geese and turkeys roaming the course, which means watching where you step. I was not impressed and much prefer the other courses in the area. read more

The course itself was beautiful and I was very excited to play it for the first time. Unfortunately, I was met by a very rude, inpatient, and disrespectful individual at the pro shop named Lance. When I called ahead to ask about the condition of the course (it had been raining for the past 3 days), he gave me very short and unhelpful answers with a very rude attitude. When I showed up in person to book the tee time, he had a very irritable and rude demeanor which threw off my entire experience. While I was signing for the carts, he literally threw the keys to the cart at my hands as I was signing the paper and then turned his back to me. Very pretty golf course in the rolling hills area south west of Sonora. Great pricing $35 twilight starting at 1 PM. There are no houses so you have clear shots and only have to worry about the rough for out of bounds. Given the very undulating nature of the terrain sometimes you feel like you are hitting into the side of a wall and the ball can even roll backwards if you don't get it to the top of the crest. Greens were fairly soft but true and generally the course is in fairly good condition given the dry nature of the area. It is about a 30 minute drive from where we are in Angels Camp but a nice change of pace and very reasonable pricing. We will likely return. read more

Quite possibly the worst customer service experience at a golf course I've ever experienced. It wasn't from a lack of effort on the staff's part. It was an obvious lack of training. took almost a half an hour to get a sandwich after the turn. Ten of those minutes were spent entering the order on the POS machine. For what this course and restaurant are charging, they need to get their stuff together or they will be going out of business fast! The only reason it received a star was the course was in decent shape. However, again for the price, the greens and fairways should be in much better condition. They were not. read more

We had a celebration of life for my mother in law on Saturday and Frances went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met and that the event went smoothly on a difficult day. I'd give this place a - Mark if I could, but it's not an option. Golf cart died on the 11th hole. Called club house to get another cart for my elderly father, said they would come pick him up but wouldn't bring another cart. Later saw multiple employees picking up other dead carts in perfectly charged ones, we asked to jump in their cart for rest of round, both refused. Walking isn't a issue, but when you pay to ride, pretty unprofessional to not at least try to help your customers. Maybe should invest some of that casino money into the carts on the course instead of just using the place as a write off for tax purposes. Go on play copper of green horn, way better experience for a similar price. read more

An avoidable shame and complete lack in morality and ethics of the staff. I Was aggressively tailgated by an employee all the way to the golf course coming off 108. She then parks next to me. I pull my toddler out of his car seat and I ask if she knows that being within 2 car spaces is tailgating. She replies "F*ck you". I wish her a happy Easter and go sit down with my family. My back is turned to go be with my toddler. When I return, the head waitress comes out sharply and asks my wife if "we've got a problem" My wife says it's her birthday and Easter and would like to just let it go, but the waitress pushes further. I let her know her employee told us to "F*ck off" while I was holding my child. She tried to walk it back but the intent was already well received. She offered a dinner but No free meal will right this wrong. We won't be back. We've been coming here since it opened for special meals like Easter and Mother's Day, but no longer. Also poached egg was cooked though, eggs and bacon didn't come with bacon, hash browns were soggy, and eggs were cold. Just play golf here, don't eat. read more

Went to Teleli today for lunch for a party of 4. They were super short staffed and I believe pulled some golf course staff to be waiters. That being said our waiter Adam did an awesome job for his first time serving and was very attentive and personable. The food is always top notch and probably the best in the county. I had the chicken cordon bleau which was a 10/10. The other members of my party all loved there dishes as well. I highly recommend Teleli for lunch or brunch and recommend Adam get a pay raise, you rock! read more

We were excited to give this golf club a try. Went online and found $17 per person at 1 o'clock. When we went into the pro shop, Dave the mgr proceeded to tell us we now owe 18.00 EACH for one golf cart. NOWHERE did the site tell us this tidbit. So now a day on this course is 70.00. Instead of 34.00. We were both shocked. Felt like we were taken advantage of. We could have understood 18.00 for 1 cart,two people as well but 18:00 each felt like a rip off. Tell consumer what they can expect on website would ya! We ate lunch there as well. Unfortunately.....they had a limited menu. I guess they are having trouble with Chefs in kitchen. My husband and I decided to try out Teleli for our anniversary. When we arrived, we stood in a empty room waiting to be seated for 5 minutes until someone acknowledged us and said we can sit wherever. We decided to sit outside since it was nice out. The waitress who was the only one there took a long time to drop off food menus and never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. After 10 minutes she came out with water for us and asked if we were ready to order. I mentioned how I would like a drink and asked if they do bottomless mimosas (someone had mentioned teleli does them). The waitress almost laughed at that question like it was ridiculous and said no. I ordered a mimosa anyways. She immediately asked again if we were ready to order food so I gave her my order. My husband got a Bloody Mary and ordered his food too. We had saw online the drink menus. When the drinks came out, she demanded to see my ID (just mine). I pulled it out and she immediately said "oh, sorry" and handed it back. I understand I look young but to be rude about it? Her personality changed after that and she became a lot more friendly. I got the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The food was great. Last, we decided to go inside and get one more drink. I decided to get a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary which states is made with a splash of onion juice and Tito's vodka. I watched her make my drink with tomato juice and well nameless vodka. I would come back for the food but it really upset me how we were initially treated and the fact they advertised their bloody Mary's to be better than what they are serving. read more

I dont know what has changed in the kitchen, but what a difference. I ate here mid summer and was not impressed. Recently a friend took me out, and she wanted to eat here. I was Not enthusiastic. But boy was I wrong. The new Chef is doing Amazing changes. You could tell that all the food was being homemade. NOTHING on my plate looked like it came out of a box. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and it was Delightful. Bread was homemade, you could tell, waitress said they are even going so far as to make their own mayonaise, and that told me everything I needed to know. Highly recommend eating here. I had the meatloaf which came with reheated frozen vegetables and decent mashed potatoes the meatloaf was delicious. My husband had the Caesar salad with chicken nothing special to write about it. The decor is done in a rustic/industrial style. I was sad to see The Dinner House go away along with Melody and her wonderful meals. The golf course has always been a dog track. I thought when black oak bought it would improve and it has in the fact that it at least it gets watered and mowed. no attention is payed to the piss poor practice facilities. On 2 separate occasions I have reluctantly attempted to use their range. i know the range is stocked with blem balls that look like they were harvested from the bottom of their 2 ponds and left to dry in the 100 degree sun for a couple of decades so no surprises there. today, for the second time, I was told the range was closed because they were out of balls. this means either nobody filled the machine last night or nobody could pick the range today. Midday Sunday on both occasions. I'll never go back. If you try to call ahead they don't answer. It's not a big ask to stock the range with decent balls and have it last for a business day. most other area course do it with ease. Bear in mind I already knew I'd be paying for a bucket of balls where up to 30% wouldn't be of decent enough quality to even hit. save your time and money. read more

Played this course April 5th 2014. Our tee time was 10:30am. Went for breakfast at around 9am and I think the bartenders name was Nick. Wonderful breakfast, hit some balls and was off like a shot. No one in front of us and no one behind us, very leisure day Now for the course, it was in great shape, greens were perfect and just beautiful scenery. I can not believe that more people don't play this course on the weekend. To be sure, we will play this course again and soon. Someone wrote that "it's best to play in the morning" as the wind picks up a little. Yes it does, but not too much. the gentleman that was in the pro shop was very helpful and said we could go out whenever we were ready. Lots of turkeys walking around, the real thing. sometimes they cheer you and sometimes laugh at you. I think they were laughing at us. This course is a gem, would recommend it to everyone read more

No other courses around in sonora, so this is as good as it gets! Always beautiful to play summer or early spring. Pro shop is friendly and relaxed. Greens are always kept in good shape. Mornings are best because the afternoon wind can really get going around 3pm. read more
