Spectrum is a liar and a thief. I signed up for internet and the rep pushed for me to get mobile service. I told him we didn't need it we already have mobile phones He insisted it would save money on Internet service if they bundled He told me it was only $3 a month. I picked a flip phone , which we have NEVER used. A year later I received the mobile bill for $32. I called and explained I don't want the phone and can't afford the extra bill. I was told they would suspend the service and I would just pay the 3 a month to pay off the phone. Evidently I still owe over $60 for a flip phone that I could have got at Walmart for $20. Today they took $32 from my bank account. I called and was told yes, it is suspended, but That they can't refund the money, that I was told they were not taking, because that bill has already gone out. Spectrum internet is very unreliable. It's down at least once per month, sometimes more often. The downtimes are getting longer, too. Last one was around 4 hours & today's outage is at 6 hours & counting. It was supposed to be back by 3pm, then 5pm & now they say 830pm. No explanation as to why. Do not get Spectrum if you have any other options, especially if you stream everything. I gave them 3 stars only because I have cell service with them that's pretty good. read more

Phone failed after 6 months. Spectrum just forced me to pay for a new phone as they would not replace it under warranty. Phone failed due to flawed UI update that locked it into headphone use only and could not hear it ring or answer. Neither they or Samsung could fix it, add in a 100mile round trip, arrogant/incompetent reps and poor service makes me look for alternative service. My husband & I came in today to switch our mobile service to Spectrum. We were lucky to get Cody to help us. Our current carrier was anything but helpful in getting the codes needed to transfer our numbers, but Cody prevailed and helped us immensely, all while staying calm and supportive to us as we became more and more frustrated. We finally were able to leave with new service and a new phone for myself. I took us a hour to make the trip to this store, but so worth the time. If you ever need help, this is the place to go to and be sure to ask for Cody. read more

I have just spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone to try to get them to realize a promise made to me regarding my rate. It was supposed to be in place for another 8 months but because "the company" had an overall rate increase, they raised my rates. They only seem to care about getting new customers and not retaining existing ones. I also have cell service with them so that will be terminating as well. These large corporations really don't seem to get it. Customer Service was completely hamstrung when trying to help me. They entice you in with special rates, then give you some lame excuse why they can't honor their agreement. You are warned. read more

My 2nd experience with Spectrum (complete waste of 6 Hours! They sent my Mom upgraded Modem and Router (She's the Account holder) they sent 3 Letters to her stating must upgrade soon or lose the Deal. So I called to do the upgrade. After 6 Hours of frustrating attempts the Charter Rep told me the new Equipment was listed on the stolen list. Then he asked if we had picked up the equipment. I replied NO! You sent it to us. Bottom Line I'd like my 6 Hours back. Find a more competent Provider! read more

One star because it works sometimes. The problem is that it's a crap shoot to figure out if it's going to be a good day or a bad day. Speeds vary from .15 mbps to 150 mbps and back to .15 mbps in minutes. Movies are always buffering, streaming music falls out, just general internet surfing is a task. Don't even ask me about web meetings. The worst part is that even when it's working the signal falls off about 25 feet from the router. Their solution? Keep unplugging the router. It is a daily chore, my new part time job. Sometimes I do it three or four times a day. The problem is that unplugging the router doesn't fix the problem. They've replaced my router a couple times, they've run a new cable from my house to the pole outside, they've installed "pods" to boost the signal inside, but I'm still on the phone with them about once a month begging for them to send someone new to look at the system. They are nice people who seem genuinely concerned about my problems with their system, but that doesn't help when, after about 5 service calls, it still isn't working. I have dealt with Jennifer on more than one occasion, and she has gone above and beyond to do everything she could to help! she's helped with my tablet, new phone service, and adding a new phone to my network! customer service like this is hard to find! They get busy, like many businesses, , but she calmly stayed with me until the transaction was complete! Her customer service is exceptional, and she should be recognized for it! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Watch them if they come out to fix a line because they dropped a line on my car damaging it. I filed a claim and they denied it, I reported to bbb and they still repeatedly denied it. I have pictures and everything but nope, they damaged my car and refused to fix it. we just got the box of equipment today. no instructions were included. spent over 2 hours trying to set everything up with their phone support. Never-mind we have no tech skills. the cable still doesn't work and we wasted half our day trying to get this to work. this company is very unprofessional and beyond uneducated about their services. imagine thinking you just purchased cable and Internet, but you have no cable and spotty internet. no one wants to help set up THEIR equipment, so they lost a customer the same day. read more
