To some people it would just look like a normal Mexican restaurant but when you try the food... it's the BEST Mexican food I've had for I long time. I tried the "Telinga's nachos" and let me tell you they were so good! Also the service is amazing they are so nice I've been there a couple of time and they remember exactly what I get! This place was on the edge of Murfreesboro, outside the Diamond Crater. We stopped for lunch. I got the special Enchiladas, beans and rice. Very tasty, beans done right!! My daughter had fish tacos and said they were some of the best. I personally like a little salt on my chips, however they are fresh and light. Salsa was spicey just the way I like. Place was adorable decorated and clean! Highly recommend. read more

Amazingly super fast service! We sat down, took a few minutes to decide what we wanted then ordered. Three minutes later our food came out! Now that's impressive. Nice family style restaurant that is centrally located and has average prices. From reviewing yelp they got very good reviews so we went there. It's a little odd for a Mexican restaurant regarding the kinds of tacos and the Chile rellano, fajitas .I think they Americanize the Mexican food and rather than using chili sauces they use cream sauce. If you're in town for the diamond crater park in Arkansas, and feel like having some Mexican food. you will not be disappointed. I enjoyed it. I live in Arizona. And I KNOW Mexican dood. The chili relleno is a little different with some white sauce... I couldn't figure it out but is actually was pretty tasty. The beans and rice were fairly good. I have been eating at this place 4-5 times a year when in Murfreesboro. Today I tried them again. The young man who approached the table and began taking the order seemed to think he was funny and laughed constantly. They were out of green enchilada sauce and I asked for napkins while reconsidering the menu. After a short time, I turned around to find out why the delay on the napkins only to discover the waiter and manager laughing. When I began to get up to get the napkins, suddenly a second waiter appeared. He began taking orders as if the first waiter hadn't existed. Second waiter was very professional. Found out first waiter is son of manager. Will not return after many years of patronage. Food quality declining as well. read more

Best food we had while we stayed in Murfreesboro. Also, the best and friendliest staff of anybody we encountered at a restaurant in Arkansas. Though the menu is huge (which is to be expected at many Mexican places), the service is incredibly prompt and food was FLYING out of the kitchen on a Sunday night. We expected to have mediocre food, because hey it's AR, but we were very surprised when we started eating. Better Tex Mex than a lot of places we have in Dallas. When we were paying, the Manager on duty asked us how it was and when we said that (1) we were from Texas and (2) we loved it, you would have thought that we told the guy he just won the lottery. I'm pretty sure he would have given me his kidney if we asked. read more

Food was ok, only place in town open after 6pm. Staff was friendly and the pineapple water was pretty good. I did not like the Tamales, the meat inside was questionable, but the 12onz ribeye was pretty good. Also the shrimp was fresh. I would go again. read more

Decided to stop in here today for lunch after reading great reviews. Staff was super friendly from the time we walked in the door as well as all thru lunch. We have 4 year old twins and one is super picky about food. We got them a cheeseburger and order of chicken nuggets. The twins enjoyed them. Wife got potato with fajita steak and was very pleased. I got the fajitas with steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo. I'm not a fan of fajita vegetables and it was heavy on bell peppers and onions. Meat, flour tortillas, beans and rice were are excellent. Wifey hit the veggies so was a win-win. Overall, we give it 2 thumbs up! Nice decorations, very clean, friendly staff and excellent food. read more

I'm from Texas and was a little worried about trying this place, but did, based on the reviews. Glad I did! Food was great, portions were huge, service was great, the decor was great, and prices were good. My husband got the carnitas and said it was the best pork he ever ate. While in town for work, the client suggested lunch at Los Agaves. I can say at lunch their service was quick, friendly, attentive. My drink was never half full, chips and salsa were plentiful and food came quickly. I did enjoy that they had several very tasty vegetarian options. I went with the veggie fajitas. They included spinach and mushrooms. Although unexpected was super tasty. The only issue was lack of tortillas...which they were quick to supply. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of a tasty, fast, quality lunch. read more

Food was good, for that location. I live in Texas so i am use to goo tasting Mexican. My only upset was the waitress had a hard time understanding us and i guess she was assuming we spoke Spanish and we don't. A big upset was we walked in and asked for takeout because the drive through had a very minimal menu option so we went inside and the staff was shocked that we wanted take out and had to ask like three times what we were doing. Then i didn't get what i ordered when i repeated my order three time to the waitress on a slight change in the order. 3 upsets and 3 stars lost. read more

From the time they put the green tomatillo sauce and ice cold agua de piña (pineapple water) on the table we knew this was not a cookie-cutter Tex-Mex place. Medium-spicy red salsa pleased my husband and kids. Kids devoured their beans and rice and raved about the taco -RAVED about the TACO- and the enchilada. Husband said the beef quesadilla was above average, no complaints. I had the Burritos Adrian and WOW. Just the right balance of ingredients, perfect melted cheese, diced tomatoes and lettuce with sour cream to mix in- loved it. Thanks Agave! read more

Let me start with- we are from South Texas and eat a lot of Mexican food! We weren't sure what to expect but the other reviews made us feel it was worth a try. It was! It's better than a lot of Tex-mex places at home! Lil' had the grilled chicken kids plate - it's covered in queso cheese sauce. Yum. Fella had burrito and taco combo and mama had the cheese enchilada combo. It was really, really good food. Great salsa and chips too. I sweet tea is strong- I like it that way. Fella said limeade was great. They are Very attentive to the customers and the place is super-duper clean. On top of that it is nicely decorated within Mexican theme. The last two times we've came here we have had a horrible experience. The food is good but once the owner leaves for the day the service is horrible!! NOT WORTH IT! The time before last we came in and after waiting an hour they got my order wrong and refused to fix it because they shut thier grills off already so I sat and watched my family eat. Tonight we came and waited an hour and 30 mins for our food, watched tables that arrived after us get thier food before us, then when we finally got our food we asked for no onions and received onion packed food. At the register the owners son refused to remove that dish from our bill and only offered a 10% discount to which he didn't even apply to our bill. Burn me once shame on you burn me twice shame on me. We will not be coming back due to horrible service! read more

This looked like a good bet given most of the reviews so we gave it a go. The steak fajitas were close to the best I've ever had. The char on the vegetables was perfect. The beans and rice just added to the flavor. My wife had the enchilada and taco plate. She thought it was good but didn't know why in Arkansas they put cheese dip on the enchilada rather than a red sauce. But it was just different not bad. read more

This is a great little place! It's bright and cheerful, filled with art, sculptures, and decorative tile. All of the staff was friendly and very attentive. The food arrived super fast; piping hot and delicious. The fried ice cream was the perfect end to the meal, served in a big frosty goblet with whipped cream and caramel sauce. If we ever pass through Murfreesboro again, we'll definitely make another visit. read more
