this place is: a) adorable b) belongs on bowen c) a craving creator (beware!) if you've got time to kill before you load to head back to horseshoe bay or you're coming off the boat and need food or drink right now, i highly recommend you stop here. it's great for pedestrians roaming around town as well. it seems far easier to recommend to people who are walking than those driving unless you find a parking spot in town and head towards the ferry. (see photo if you're going to stop here directly from the ferry because you need to hang a right immediately when disembarking.) they have a variety of beverages but the food is what interested me. i had a hard time deciding but the grilled halloumi called to me and i'm singing its praises! what a tasty sandwich: well constructed, travelled well (i took it to go,) and zero skimping on ingredients. now all i can do it plot my return to try something else.

We came on a Saturday and got the breakfast sandwich, ginger fizz and iced coffee. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good. I could taste the Pesto and the bacon. Ginger fizz was good for my thirst and woke me right up. Ginger was surprisingly strong but I enjoyed it. It also wasn't too sweet. Overall a nice stop on the island. The food and drinks wasn't too expensive. They warned us that the sandwiches would take a little longer but we didn't feel like it took that long. Very friendly

Hipster little cafe with relaxing vibes by the Snug Cove ferry terminal. While there grab some trendy merchandise, tea sparrow teas, flora tea, high vibes candles, t-shirts, and light lunch.

A great spot for coffee and lunch on Bowen Island - I had the chickpea salad and it was so delicious. The Americano was good too (they use Agro coffee which I love). The cafe has alot of outside seating overlooking the cove and ferry dock. Staff were also nice and quick to bring our order even though it was a busy lunch rush.

The menu is wonderfully eclectic, the result of an Indian chef and Latin American kitchen staff. I really wanted to try one of the chicken dishes, but I'm not into thighs; I know they're trendy but I hate the texture. So I went for the Buddha Bowl, which was an amazing combination of spicy rice, stewed chickpeas, and fresh vegetables with an avocado-lime dressing. Oh my goodness, it was so interesting and delicious! My husband got the fried chicken bites with two different dipping sauces and loved them. My toddler requested avocado toast, so rather than ordering the $19 entree that came with fancy toppings she wouldn't eat, I asked for a side of toast, a side of avocado and a lemon wedge. She loved it, especially paired with a mango smoothie. Our server, whose name I sadly don't remember, was so . . . normal. She did not seat us directly in the blinding sunlight when there were tons of empty tables in the shade, or say "I'll be right back" and then disappear, or try to talk us into eating dessert at the table because it would be too hard to pack it up for us. (All of those things happened at other restaurants on the island that same week.) She was just genuinely interested in making our experience pleasant, which made it truly wonderful. Bonus: they have a stash of fleece blankets for the outside seats, which is perfect for overcast days.

Delicious food, quick service, good coffee. I found it a little warm in there but otherwise great.read more

For me, this is a good place to shop for indulgent chocolate gifts to show your thoughtfulness and care for someone special. I am on the fence about recommending this place to chocolate lovers because chocolate preferences are highly individualistic. You need to sample and try to see if their chocolate is to your liking. I have tried their various truffle flavors and they are very good quality chocolate yet I haven't come across a favorite flavor that I would crave for. So I mostly shop for their chocolates as gifts because I do appreciate their commitment to quality organic ingredients. Their chocolates are priced higher than most and present as nice thoughtful gifts that show extra appreciation. This shop also serves gelato, which is especially popular in the summer times. There were multiple people waiting, and a simple notice that takeout orders were unavailable or that the wait would be long would have saved everyone time and frustration.
