Perfect lunch/dinner spot for vegans and non-vegans!
We called in for a reservation for a party of five at 7:30pm on a Thursday evening. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately by friendly staffs. They asked if we prefer to be seated inside or outside. We opted for patio dining, but next time we would consider inside because there was construction going on outside.
The menu tailors to everyone really whether you're into comfort food or fresh healthy options.
For starters, we ordered two dishes: vegan chicken bites (made with jackfruit) which I highly recommend if it's your first time here; bell peppers with a side of sauce.
For main, we ordered fish (aubergine coated with breadcrumbs) and chips with tartar sauce which was crispy and delicious. We also ordered the mountain burger which was pretty tasty. We also had the Buddha bowl which was very delicious. I asked for no oil (instead of pan frying the tofu, they offered to bake it without oil) and dressing on the side.
For dessert, we went for the vanilla cheesecake and warm peanut butter blondie with ice cream on top.
The cheesecake did not taste like vanilla and the crust was too sweet/overpowering. The ice cream was good, but the blondie itself was a bit too dry/crumbly. It had the texture of a carrot cake (dense) rather than a brownie. I guess I was expecting the crust to be slightly crunchy on the outside and chewy and moist in the inside.
Overall, we are very impressed with the service, food, atmosphere, and attention to detail.
We will definitely "tell our friends" about this awesome vegan spot in London! read more
