First time at Temakase Hand Roll Bar, and I had an amazing time!! My friend and I sat at the bar and service was friendly and fast. We ate soooo many delicious hand rolls! Mostly raw fish ones, but we also tried a Wagyu beef one. The crispy rice was also amazing! The miso soup was served in cute tea cups so we did cheers with the soup cups~! The interior looks very luxurious so it definitely feels like a high end experience, but with reasonable prices. I'd love to come back again!

Such a fab hand roll bar! I needed a quick lunch after a meeting and this was the perfect place to drop into, especially solo. I sat down and ordered the 4 roll combo. I'm not a raw salmon girly, so I was able to order 2 scallop along with the blue crab and tuna. Honestly, every single hand roll was delicious. I loved them all and I've been craving more since I left. The scallop was excellent. All for $26? What a steal. The best deal in town. I also ordered the spicy tuna on crispy rice which was tasty. If I was to give one tiny feedback, it would just be to let the rice cool a bit before placing raw tuna on top. 5/5 will definitely be back!

My husband was drawn in by the $32 5 roll combo at Temakase, and honestly, it felt almost too good to be true... and unfortunately, it kind of was. Food: 2.5/5 At first glance, the deal seems solid, but once the food came out, it became clear where the compromise was. The rolls were heavily rice-forward--easily 50-75% rice--with only a small amount of fish. I ordered a scallop roll with honey mustard and tobiko, but I could barely taste the scallop at all, which made the combination feel confusing and not very intentional. The tuna rolls were also disappointing, as the fish didn't feel like clean cuts but more like a mixed or mashed texture. By the third roll, I was already over the meal. It's one of those situations where you finish it because you paid for it, not because you're enjoying it. Service: 3.5/5 The space itself is very chic and aesthetically pleasing, and the staff were fine overall. Nothing particularly stood out--neither amazing nor bad--but everything moved along smoothly. Vibe: 3.5/5 The restaurant is undeniably cute and stylish, which makes it appealing at first. However, the setup isn't the most practical--there wasn't really a convenient place to store coats, which made things a bit uncomfortable. It's a small detail, but it did impact the overall experience. All in all, For two people, the total came out to about $97 after tip, which didn't feel worth it given the quality. While I can see why the price point attracts people, there are definitely better sushi options in the city for the same (or slightly higher) price. Personally, I wouldn't go back.

No wait for dinner on Sunday evening! Intimate bar ambiance, they make the rolls to order in front of you. Choice of Hungry set (4 rolls) or Starving set (5 rolls). Hungry set was not very filling but got a good taste of everything! Recommend the crispy rice. Complimentary miso soup was mildly sweet, liked this a lot. Portions are small for the price but great service.

Set pricing and pretty quick service. Options here are I could eat- 3 hand rolls for $20.00 and Hungry- 4 hand rolls for $26.00. You can also do à la carte rolls they range from $7.00 to $11.00 and there are speciality rolls and crispy rice too. I find the rolls quite filling. My favorite is the blue crab. You have the option of getting classic or spicy.

I hate to write such a poor review but this was a really disappointing experience and I would not recommend. It started with the server having difficulty placing my order (shrimp tempura roll and tuna avocado roll), she asked me to repeat a few times and even said something completely different back to me. Then I pointed to the items on the menu and she seemed to understand me and repeated it back to me... I get my order, leave without checking, and realized when I got home that they gave me a spicy salmon roll instead of tube avocado. She rang it up correctly but they still got it wrong. The shrimp tempura was fine. The shrimp was so small. Pic attached :( There was no wasabi included and they only gave me half a cup of soy sauce, I had to ask for another one. A big bummer overall. I am positive there are much better options around.

this spot was so delicious I was honestly super impressed. Extremely easy to walk into, empty despite being delicious. They start you off with a delicious miso soup and the hand rolls here are seriously so fresh! The toro was an absolute hit a buttery and delicious. Also was a fan of the hamachi and blue crab. The crispy rice is also really good! We got the caviar and it also comes on top of spicy tuna. The crispy rice is very fresh and perfectly crisp.

3.5/5. Objectively tasty 4/5, but compared to Kazunori, I wouldnt come back. Yes, there's no line but it's more expensive. The 3 set roll is the same price but tip is not included here which adds a hefty amount to the final bill compared to kazunori. I saw reviews mention that tip was included so I came in with that assumption, but I was given the tip screen at the end when I paid the bill and of course, I don't want to not tip when i'm supposed to so I did a standard 20%, but it's unclear to me where everyone else is getting the impression that tip is included. If that is the case, they should not present the tip screen or make it clear that it is included. Taste wise, yummy but i personally think kazunori fish and rice taste better.

Beautiful restaurant with relaxing atmosphere, quick service, and most importantly all the hand rolls were delicious!

Had a light dinner here last night. The interior is a long counter seating in a sleek minimalist interior. I like how the menu is arranged for both a La carte and also pre-selected rolls based on hunger level. I also appreciate that they have 2 different over arching flavor profiles to choose from for your menu selection (a mild one and s spicy one). The spicy tuna crispy rice was great. I also like the scallop hand roll. Everything I had tasted fresh. The chef and servers were also great.

This is a solid hand roll place with good deals (20$ 3 hand rolls) and crispy rice options (comes with 2 pieces). The interior is nice and clean. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I had a shrimp, blue crab, a5 wagyu hand roll and a salmon crispy rice.

Then made other comments questioning my sexuality. Total misogynistic predator creep. I didn't finish the scotch because I know what Macallan tastes like and that crap he poured me was like Costco booze. Then I worried whether or not he put something fishy in my glass. I couldn't settle the tab and get out of there fast enough. Our plan was to eat there when my friend finally arrived, but f that. Ended up meeting her at the pizza place a few blocks away. Thinking of this dude literally makes my skin crawl. I'm not one to write reviews often, but he shouldn't get away with that behavior. Maiden signage everywhere, special drinks and food items with an Iron Maiden menu, giveaways, free personalized photo from a Lagunitas rep walking the floor, concert footage on the video screens, Lagunitas Maiden beer, all of the rooftop bar with more banners and band art, along with non-stop Iron Maiden music playing throughout! Plus, there was a large merchandise tent set up on the rooftop which was perfect as we purchased all of the gear we wanted there - shirts, jackets, hats, and other swag - same as what was at the concert which saved us a ton of time not having to wait on the ridiculously long lines at the stadium the next day. We noshed on some tasty wings, nachos, and drank Lagunitas Trooper IPA. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bar area itself was large and getting a table was easy even though it was very busy. Would have been a 5 star review but I had to take one star off since they closed the Eddie's Dive Bar event early, even though they advertised and confirmed it was supposed to run until 4am both Sat & Sun. After the concert on Sunday night ending close to 11pm many did not get back to Manhattan until after midnight due to the PATH train schedule from the stadium. Our group of around 10 people were turned away at 1am with the bouncer telling us the event was now closed. Not cool advertising it until 4am and then doing that. The bar missed out on some good business as many others were also heading there who we spoke with earlier. Oh well, that's a minor complaint as this was otherwise a terrific time.
