The service was crazy quick - I'm pretty sure we got our food in about 2 minutes. Once I took the first bite, I immediately knew this lunch was going to be spectacular. All the ingredients meshed so perfectly together, and the chipotle sauce was actually quite good! The burrito had a generous amount of salmon that was the perfect proportion to the other ingredients in the burrito. The burrito was also a good price (mine was ~$11). The only thing that makes me sad about this place is that we live too far away (we were just driving through Santa Clarita)!! I can sum up this entire review with one simple word, "interesting." Yes that was my experience with Temakitto and no not in a bad way. Temakitto had been saved in my bookmarks for a while after seeing my fellow Yelper Glenn post about it. I am an avid sushi fan and not too picky when it comes to trying new things. Naturally I was intrigued by the thought of a sushi burrito though. Two of my favorite foods combined into one. As for why I said interesting....well it was less of a burrito and more of a large sushi role. I guess I really didn't know what to expect. I opted for an albacore and tuna (forgot the actual name) burrito and nothing really stood out for me. On the other hand the other burrito we got that was coated in crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos was really good. I'm assuming I just got the wrong thing. Will I give it another shot? These sushi burritos are awesome! Once we discovered it, we ordered often, especially when it was on the way home from work. Now we are working from home, but still go at least once a month. Reasons for the star dock: -slightly inconsistent: sometimes the burritos are really nicely and tightly rolled, other times they fall apart with the first bite. -we always do pick up and twice, we have come home to find the wrong burrito. This is a bummer, since I am allergic to some things and currently pregnant so there are a lot of rolls I just can't eat. Without these issues, it is easily a 5 star rating. read more

Was very excited to try this place, the pictures are amazing! My favorite thing here was the poke ahi itself topping the sushi pizza. The kids California roll burrito was huge! We did the albacore burrito sans lettuce and soy paper instead of seaweed everywhere possible. All of the fish was fresh. I think my only suggestion to make these items better- the pickled cucumbers in the burritos are too overwhelming and take away from the fish, giving them a "fast food" type flavor. I think If they used fresh cucumber it would be better. Also adding avocado option to their items would be a great addition to their menu. I think the albacore crispy rice is missing something. The portions are great considering how filling these burritos are (I couldn't even finish mine). It's definitely well worth the price you pay for them. Service (10/10): Never had a bad experience with the staff, and they're extremely efficient working in assembly-line fashion. I seldom wait for more than 10 min, even when it's very busy and I'm ordering for multiple people. Food (9/10): The fish always tastes fresh, the rice is fluffy and well-made, and the flavors are generally well-balanced. If you like yellow-tail, lighter flavors, and can handle a some spiciness, I would definitely recommend the Japonés Yuzu burrito (ask for extra Hasta-la-Vista sauce!). On the heavier/more umami side, the Crunchy Tiger burrito is also a solid pick. Price (8/10): Slightly pricy for a "quick meal", but it can be expected given the fresh ingredients. I admit that normally I wouldn't walk into this shop if I was passing by but my family love this spot. The ambiance is hip, young, casual and the restaurant is bright and roomy, given the small spot. A large screen at the counter shows their updated menu and pics of their popular items. This review is for my first visit. I wasn't too hungry and neither was my party so they suggested I get the kid's size burrito. First of all, I questioned this whole sushi burrito trend. I thought it was gimmicky and the pics I have seen online from other spots show that it is packed with rice. I don't want to each that much rice. Secondly, when they said kid's size, I expected a tummy teaser. I was wrong. I ordered a spicy tuna kid sized sushi burrito and an iced tea from a Japanese company I love. All about $8. It's basically a hand roll that you get at sushi restaurants but instead of it being in a cone shaped roll, it was in a tightly packed cylinder. They are also generous with the spicy tuna and held back on the rice. All that for $5??? Where can I find a place like this in LA? Sometimes I crave sushi but don't want to spend that much money nor do I want to have a huge roll. The kid size was perfect to tie me over. I finally had a chance to visit this little, narrow shop for a quick lunch. Quite a clean shop with ample seating. There are a few words on the menu that may be unfamiliar. For reference: - Tobiko: Flying fish eggs. Larger than smelt eggs "masago," but smaller than salmon eggs "ikura." Similar taste. - Pepitas: Pumpkin seeds. - Yuzu: A spicy, citrusy paste or sauce. - Tamago: Egg omelette. Very sweet taste. - Daikon: White radish. ...Of course, the staff can answer any of your questions, too. I'm sure they get plenty of them. I had a few of my own and they were helpful. Ordering only took a matter of minutes and our food came out much faster than I expected. Like, less than 3 minutes. Here's what we got: BAJA FRESH SALMON for $9.95 - Raw salmon chunks, leaf lettuce, pickled cucumber, cabbage, red onions, guacamole, tamago, mango pico de gallo, roasted pepitas, and creamy chipotle. There's also tomato (from the pico de gallo, I guess?) and daikon radish. - I asked for no lettuce, cabbage or pepitas. - I wasn't feeling well at the time, but I enjoyed this sushi burrito. Lots of tamago. Plenty of salmon chunks. - Quite salty and sweet. I wouldn't recommend adding soy sauce. - Came on seaweed, which ended up getting chewy. Soy paper is an additional 75 cents. JAPONES YUZU for $11.95 - Raw yellowtail chunks, leaf lettuce, red onions, sweet corn, yuzu tobiko, pickled cucumber, onion crunch, mango pico de gallo, and yuzu aioli. Same tomato and daikon radish, too. - Got it without the lettuce and corn. - I happen to love yuzu, and this sushi burrito definitely has plenty of yuzu. - Lots of yellowtail chunks. - Also comes on seaweed. - Personally, I liked this one better than the salmon. Overall, good portions. Good price point. If I were in the area again, I'd come by. I have been wanting to give Temakitto a try for a while now. We were looking for a healthier snack option in between activities for the kids and decided sushi sounded good. They have a kids menu, so that was a huge plus! We ordered an avocado roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and a California roll from the kids menu, as well as a Ramune Japanese soda and an Aloha Hawaiian drink. The kids portions were perfect for my 3 kids to have as an afternoon snack and our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. They came wrapped like mini burritos and were easy for them to eat in the car without making a mess. The ingredients were fresh and these rolls were way better quality than sushi from a grocery store for about the same price. I will be back soon to try their sushi burritos for myself and see what else they have to offer. They also sell macaron ice cream sandwiches, which looked delicious. So glad we tried Temakitto today and glad we have a healthier "fast food" option for busy days. read more

I got the crunchy tiger roll and it was delicious (I ordered with no pickled relish). The only complaint I have is that I ordered ahead through Yelp and although it did give me an estimated wait time/time window, it never actually notified me when it was ready.
