Zero stars is the more accurate description. Joe Harris' team has been the most unprofessional group of people I have ever worked with in my life. Initially, it took forever to get a hold of him via email/phone call. He didn't respond to emails until 1-2 weeks after they were sent -- and he would not follow up until I would send another email asking for updates. Then, when trying to actually have his team come out to set up a time to install the security panels in our home, we've had to reschedule numerous times. And when they're rescheduling, it's not a nice notice that is one or two days in advance, it's the morning of the appointment, literally an hour or two before the time that they were supposed to be at my house. After the third time rescheduling, they were finally able to show up and install the system -- but that also had it's own mishaps as well. I spoke to Joe on the phone to confirm a time of 9am, but his worker did not show up at our specified time. On top of that, I called Joe that morning at 10am, because we were still waiting and wondering where his worker was, and Joe himself said that he talked to his worker and that he would be to the place in less than 30 min. His worker proceeded to not show up until 12pm. Despite numerous phone calls and voicemails left with Joe, he proceeded to not call me back and never gave me an update on whether or not his worker was even going to show up. AND to make matters worse, they only had one out of the two security panels tha they were supposed to install -- meaning that we had to set up another date for them to come back... Joe calls and tells me personally that he is going to put in the order that states that his worker should come to my house first to install the final panel. So here we are today, the day of the final installation. I get a call from his worker at 8:50AM stating that he would be at my house at 11AM to install the panel. And wouldn't you know -- I get a call from Joe at 1045AM -- FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE his worker is supposed to be here, telling me that his worker does not have the panel on him so he cannot come to install the final panel. Joe tells me that he will come personally to install it, but the earliest he can get here is at 1PM... Joe and his team has no answer for me when I ask how they can be SO unorganized and unprofessional. No matter what industry you are working in, if the provider shows up 3 hours late on numerous occassions or has to reschedule you on numerous occasions, there would be some sort of compensation or apology from the higher ups. Yet all Joe does is a piss poor job of attempting to apologize and reassure me that he will do the task when he says he will. There is absolutely no accountability and no remorse from anybody from Templar, and it is a terrible excuse for a professional company. read more

We were being charged monthly, and the service was never activated over a period of several months. They agreed to send somebody out to activate the service, and we set an appointment. I took off work 2 hours early to accommodate the technician, but he called and said he couldn't make it and we rescheduled. This appt. time, no show, no call till later I had to leave work early and have lost wages because of this, around 88 bucks, and I really doubt I'll ever see that from Templar. read more

I have been trying to get ahold of this company for the longest! I've left voicemails with no call backs. The one time I'm able to get ahold of them they told me they'd give me a call back and I never received a call back. I've just needed help getting back into my account. I would go elsewhere only because it's like impossible to get ahold of customer service when needed. read more

I would give this company a ZERO with their customer service and their view that their customer has a right to Inform the alarm company of what's happening with their alarms service which was slow in responding to windows and doors being opened as signals from the alarm system were very very delayed and had been so for over a month. I was appalled by the lack of simple listening to the CUSTOMER which is how you make your money in the first place. The condescending nature in which I was spoken to was horrific. I build websites for a living and again, the rep or whoever she was did not listen to what I tried to explain to her several times. I canceled the service on the spot after having the service for just over 10 months and hired BRINKS right away! What I want you to understand as a consumer, WE have OPTIONS, therefore you should really try to retain your customers. I will tell every neighbor I have that has your service how I was treated and to encourage them to terminate. I will call the builder of my home and Inform them of the HORRIBLE customer service I received. As your rep told me to call my builder to check the warranty of my garage door implying my garage door was causing the delay in signal, what about the other doors and windows which by the way had a delay as well which had not occurred before??? I will also inform them of your rude way of your rep repeatedly continued to talk over the customer repeatedly but I guess you know better than I do because you are the so called expert and they way that you put my builder in the problem regarding my garage door on a brand new home was tacky and completely unprofessional so I will also let the builder know that as well. Crappy service, crappy monitoring and crappy overall. Shame on you for treating your customers they way you have. You are awful!!! And even as a last resort, I would never sign another contract with you again. ADP and BRINKS are much better Options. Happy to end my time with your company! Simply awful!
