We set our expectations really low because of everyone's reviews. But we already ate at all the restaurants we wanted to outside the resort and it was the last night here. So we decided to try it. We called ahead and made the reservation for 8. We were going to eat here Tuesday but they were closed. We got all dressed up and when we arrived we were seated by the host. He helped me in my seat and handed us our menus. The waitress was with us right away, took our drinks, and brought them right back with bread after waiting on her other tables. She took our orders and it didn't take long at all for the food to come out. We got the alfredo. One with chicken and one with shrimp. We also got an order of homemade fries. The fries took a little longer than our entrée but it wasn't a big deal. We had a lot of food on our plate. It was really good. And we were stuffed to the point we couldn't move. Tempo was PERFECTION - we got the rib eye for 2, sides, appetizers and a bottle of wine for under $125. While it wasn't "cheap", for a quality steak house dinner with a highly attentive wait staff, it was well worth it. I'd expect to spend alot more on a restaurant of this quality in the US. We ate here during our stay at the Gran Melia Resort. It was okay. Def over priced- but it is located in a resort so that is to be expected. When we walked in we were told we needed a reservation which was funny because they literally had no one dining in there, but made us make a reservation for a half an hour later, even though they were open, only for us to come back to no one in the restaurant again. So that was mildly irritating. So I take a star away for that. They require you not to wear a bathing suit under your clothing, but allow people to come in almost anything else. A lady came in after us in almost nothing. literally, she was wearing a crop top that barely covered her breasts, and a pair of daisy dukes that her ass cheeks were hanging out of. And yet, a different customer who was wearing a bathing suit top under her long beautiful dress was turned away. I also take a star away for this. The waiter however was extremely nice, and quite good looking if you ask me. The food was good, better than I anticipated but nothing to write home about. I wont eat here again, but it wasn't a bad experience. read more

On our first night at the resort we decided to start with Italian dinner since its our favorite! The restaurant itself is very nice, very nicely decorated and a relaxing atmosphere. The server was super helpful and welcoming. we didn't order appetizers and went straight ahead to ordering our entrees. I got yellowish tuna which was delicious, for a dish with that price I was hoping that I got a side with it instead of just the fish. My friend went for the doble fish which was a huge portion and that was very tasty too! Overall it was a nice experience, maybe I'll try it one more time before leaving. read more

This place is amazing our waiter Jan Carlos made our whole entire experience at the resort and restaurant one we will never forget. The manager Arelese was so great as well she was so friendly and listened to everything we had to say and we weren't even complaining. The food was out of this world delicious. We came twice during our time at the resort and another time for Togo. This is the place to go we had the table side Caesar salad twice, rigatoni, Cornish with risotto, & padella pasta. Ok service, food is not edible. Would highly discourage this place. Wish I could give it negative stars. I went with a party of 12 and no one enjoyed their meal. The salads were so salty we couldn't eat them. It tasted like they used olive brine for salad dressing. The steaks were so chewy they were also in edible. My fish was so overcooked it was as chewy as the steak. The only thing I could actually chew was my husbands chicken parm which was okay but not great. Pasta was overcooked. It goes on. Save yourself money and aggravation and do not go here. If you are stuck at the resort you are better off ordering room service (which is actually decent and edible) than eating here. read more

Omg! This place is absolutely incredible!! Stayed at the Gran Melia Resort for our honeymoon for four nights and are here two of those night because it was so good! Waitress made our Caesar dressing from scratch right in front of us. The pasta w mushrooms in a white wine is superb. The porterhouse is huge and very tasty. read more

The food was good, not great, but it was definitely the best service we had while we were on the resort. Dinner for two was $100 with tip (2 apps, 2 pasta entrées and a dessert to split; No drinks), which was definitely overpriced for the food that we received. read more

Our waiter was very kind and helpful. He made excellent recommendations. There is also a separate bar. Extremely clean bathrooms.

I personally, would never have chosen to go here for dinner but my daughter wanted to try it so we did. For me, it was average. I had the porterhouse steak with potatoes and a peppercorn sauce. It was just ok. The steak was a little over done and tough. My daughter really enjoyed her meal though. read more

For a higher end restaurant the service was extremely poor. We had to ask to be served bread. We asked for a wine list and they handed us a empty folder without any wine list in it. We basically had to ask for everything. The steak was great butter what you are paying the service was absolutely horrible. Would not go back if the meal was free. Service was very good. Food...not so much. Tried the spaghetti bolognese and it tasted like it was made with canned sauce. The bread seemed undercooked and with very little flavor. Customer service is lacking a great deal. Wait staff does work hard in the prep of the table but lack a great deal in customer interaction. Ordered the steak medium and came out well done. For $50 for a steak; they should take better care in food and prep work. Friend ordered a filet and they butterflied the steak. Stupid. My steak tasted like rubber. Spoke to manager and she didn't offer anything or tried to make it right. Didn't care about money "hence eating at a resort" but at least try to make steak right! Restaurent is very classy, I loved the candle holder unique model and it is very plesant feeling. We ordered French onion soup, Vegiee salad and Alfredo chicken pasta.The service is fast and very good. Very nice restaurant. It was our friends birthday, so it was her choice. Only 4 or less could sit outside...there was 6 of us so no outside. Waiter Carlos was very nice but he talked his way out of his bad service. He bought us our second bottle of $35 of champagne....which I'm assuming because he forgot to put in our food. Unfortunately this is my first time here and the only reason I came here was because I had no choice (that is, staying here at the resort, late Sunday night, hungry wife) The 3 stars on yelp scared me.... not even 3 1/2 stars - something must be wrong. But after just one dining adventure here, I can understand why they only get 3 stars. The restaurant is really nice inside, very classy, with a nice selection of wines. My wife had the Cornish hens and she said she enjoyed it but I don't like Cornish hens - just not enough meat - I tried it, just OK. My pasta could have come from the Olive Garden. I could not tell the difference, sorry our Olive Garden didn't mean to put your pasta down (and I don't like the Olive Garden either - for those of you who don't know what the Olive Garden is, it's a the U.S. chain of supposedly Italian restaurants and hopefully they won't come to Puerto Rico). Also please, when you bring me vegetables on a plate, please don't tell me the plate is really hot, then come to find out the vegetable are barely warm....come on I hate that...hot plates-cold food. The service was good and everyone seemed very nice. Our waiter said he would remove the cold vegetables from my bill and he even gave us a free dessert.
