My family of 5 (my wife, 14yo, 12yo, 6yo and myself) did the tour to Hāna with Steve as our guide. It was a a good experience. Steve while navigating the road to Hana taught us about trees, history, as well as where to take the best picture spots. He even offered to take our picture. Breakfast and lunch was awesome too. I recommend this tour if you don't want the hassle of driving to Hana and I would recommend Steve. Thank you temptation tours!

HUGE HIGHLIGHT of my trip to Maui. I really wanted to swim under a waterfall and a friend had recommended a helicopter tour... So Temptation Tour's Road to Hana Sky Trek was the perfect combination + SO much more! Scott was our tour guide for the van portion of the day. Scott's enthusiasm, careful driving, and willingness to take photos was so appreciated. He was easy to talk to and shared great info, while navigating the (very tricky) road to Hana with ease. I cannot imagine driving this, invaluable to have an expert driver. The stop at the waterfall exceeded my expectations, and the last stop swimming at the black sands beach was also magical. I recommend bringing water shoes (i picked up a pair for $20 the day before and was so glad I did to navigate the rocks and water easily). The banana bread stop was DELICIOUS -- I highly recommend the banana bread ice cream sundae -- still dreaming about it!! The helicopter ride was magical, Chris was so relaxed and put us all at ease. The views were stunning and I was surprised to feel so good since this was my first helicopter ride. Originally I thought 35 minutes seemed short for the helicopter ride, but really it was just perfect, I loved every second but also felt ready to land when we did. I did the morning tour, 6:45am arrival felt early but boy was it worth it! I was so glad we got to visit the spots when they were less crowded. The tour group size was wonderful - only 5 people + Scott. Thank you Scott, Chris and Temptation Tours. I'll recommend this adventure for anyone going to Maui, it was worth every penny.

This is the first Hāna tour I have been on and it was definitely a great experience. Even as a local who was born and raised here on the island and I actually live along the road to Hāna. The first leg is a helicopter that leaves out of Kahului heliport. Then you fly out to Hāna where you are met at the Hana Airport by a very nice van with all captain chairs. The pilot of the flight was great he was very entertaining and very knowledgeable. The type van driver was also very knowledgeable and entertaining. After we landed we were taken over to Wai'anapanapa State Park where we were served lunch. Which was included with the tour. Then we spent about an hour at the park. After this we headed back towards Kahului. We made several stops along the way. Our driver was great and knew the road very well. I would definitely recommend this tour versus driving the road. For one you get to see places that you would never see from a car, plus you don't have the stress of driving crowded and very small and narrow roads. I highly recommend the tour.

We went on the Hana Sky Trek tour with our wonderful guide, Scott! Scott is friendly and knowledgeable. He told us all about the road to Hana plus Hawaii state history and about the people and culture. He offered to take pictures of each couple in our group and he showed us new photo tricks with our phones that we didn't know! The photos turned out great. This is the best way to see Hana. The drive out to the town of Hana was great and then we took a helicopter ride back. Derek our pilot was great, too. He told us all about the terrain we were flying over and about the island. I would highly recommend this trip and Scott as the tour guide.

Scott was absolutely amazing. The drive was great and he made it so enjoyable. Also it felt like we had a personal photographer with him. He took some of the best photos and videos. He really knows his stuff. I'm having friends and family request him when they come out to Maui and want to do this tour.

Beautiful trip. I must admit I was a little nervous driving the road to Hana on my own, and signed up for the Temptation tour. We had an excellent tour guide, Gail who drove us in comfort in a luxury van. She stopped at several scenic spots, my favorite was the Black Sand beach. Here we had the option of swimming in the ocean or hiking. This place was breathtaking. Gail gave us a lot of information about the local plants and a Hawaii history lesson. We really enjoyed this tour.

    Cave exploration!

Great Road to Hana tour! Picked up from our Lahaina hotel. All-day went by in a flash. Caves. Lunch. Waterfalls. History. Education. Inspiration. Our guide Ray was masterful! Saw twice as much in half the time. Why would you drive yourself??!!??

If you're even thinking about doing Road to Hana this is the way to do it. Having an experienced driver made the trip extremely comfortable. Scott was our guide and he was phenomenal! He was extremely knowledgeable, knew Hawaiian culture & history beyond what's in the tour guide textbook, and made the trip super fun for our entire group. We hit every spot on my Maui bucket list and it was just an overall amazing experience. If you're in between packages, splurge on the Hana Ultimate. The breakfast and lunch locations on the trip were both fantastic and made the overall day trip very enjoyable.

My wife and I did the Sky Trek tour (combo of helicopter tour and drive to/from Hana from OGG airport) with Derek (sp?) as our pilot and Scott Ferguson as our driver and it was an all around phenomenal experience! The views and sights that can only be seen from the helicopter were amazing and Scott's knowledge of the history and best sights along the Road to Hana and expert photography skills made for unbelievable pictures and videos. He even made a slow motion video of me jumping off of a 30ft waterfall. He's also a former chef at Mama's Fish House so he knows all of the best dining spots in that area and some tricks of the trade for getting into popular spots. Hands down the best tour guide I've ever had - be sure to request him when you book your tour. And the best part, this combo tour is only ~$125 more than the road-only tour (which takes about 10 hours to complete versus a 5 hour outing with the chopper).

He was knowledgeable about the entire pineapple-growing process. Not to mention made us laugh We learned so much about how pineapples are planted, grown, and harvested. It was fascinating to hear about the life cycle of a pineapple, the care that goes into growing them, and what makes Maui Gold pineapples so unique and sweet. Of course, the star of the show was the pineapple itself. It was hands down the sweetest, juiciest, and most delicious pineapple I've ever tasted. After trying one, it's hard to go back to grocery store pineapple! The gift shop was also wonderful, with lots of cute souvenirs, gifts, and pineapple-themed items to browse. If you're visiting Maui, I highly recommend adding the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour to your itinerary.

I recommend this tour. We booked it at the beginning of our trip in case it needed to be canceled…read moredue to weather, which would have given us time to reschedule. Thankfully, the weather cooperated! Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes. There's quite a bit of walking through the fields, and the ground can be uneven and dusty. My socks were covered in dirt afterward, so I definitely wouldn't recommend flip-flops. Small carton boxes of water (like school lunch sized milk cartons) were provided on the tour bus, which was appreciated, but I'd still recommend bringing your own water as well, especially if it's a warm day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about pineapple farming. It's so labor intensive!! However, he spoke extremely fast, which made it difficult to follow at times. I wish he had slowed down a bit. During the tour, we sampled pineapples at different stages of ripeness, and at the end each group receives a boxed pineapple package to take home. Since there were two of us, we were given a pre-packaged box for two people. We assumed we'd be getting two pineapples similar to the ones we tasted during the tour, but when we opened the box back at our hotel, we found three very small pineapples instead. The box itself made it look like the fruit would be larger. We learned on the tour that pineapples do not continue ripening after they're harvested, so what you get is what you get in terms of sweetness. We kept 2 for ourselves and gifted the 3rd away. Unfortunately, the 2 we cut open were bland, barely sweet which was disappointing. A grocery store pineapple would've been sweeter I think. Idk if the one we gifted away was sweet or not. I hope it was b/c that'd be embarrassing considering it had the "Maui Gold" tag on the crown. One area that could use improvement is the guide's professionalism. At times, he shared stories about previous guests in a way that felt like he was making fun of questions they had asked. Hubby agreed. It left me wondering whether future tour groups would hear stories about us as well. He also shared a story about jokingly telling a guest or a group that he was gay, and then he was like, just kidding! While it may have been intended as humor, it didn't sit well with me. It felt unnecessary and in poor taste, especially considering there could have been LGBTQ+ guests on our tour. Overall, the tour was informative and enjoyable, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about pineapple farming. A slower-paced presentation and a more professional approach from the guide would have made the experience even better.

We have taken three of their "Morning Walks" with our grandkids and it's a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we've had three different ...wonderful.. experiences. It's not strenuous and you're taken back to some private land that you'd not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. We were lucky to have the lovely, fun, and knowledgeable guide named Randolyn ..aka Ran. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! On the drive on the way home she advised a few newbies to the island where some great places to eat were... they greatly appreciated her ideas! Brian was just soo fun, and soo informative. He balanced all our interests absolutely wonderfully, it was just amazing. The kid was thrilled with the his dino costume (Oh my god! the costume, he wore it on the Entire trip except when jumping off the rocks ofcourse), the adult in the other group with all the geological tectonics knowledge that flowed like an uninterrupted volcano from his mouth...non stop, and me with all the native plant life info. The Hala tree amazed me and so did the big red flower- torch ginger, which actually looks like a vibrant staff fit for a king. I would never have learnt about them in detail if not for this trip. All this besides the actual trip to the waterfalls, the encouragement he gave to the other group was astounding (I don't swim myself unfortunately, or the fun would have tripled for me). He supported, guided, advised, and made them have the time of their life with the diving and the swimming. Three cheers to the B.Rex. Hike Maui site itself had useful info for the walk and I brought the water shoes after reading about it on their site, it really worked great out there. Pick up was right on time and the directions were pretty clear, but u could have mentioned near Kahului Park and Ride, I mistook the 8 min drive for 8 min walk, and walked up from my hotel ! Hike Maui arranged for backpacks and that was very useful too. To just it throw it on our shoulders and walk freely. The little snacks were good after the walk. The best part was the passion fruit which was handed out as a parting gift. It was my first time to eat that fruit too. Note: The waterfalls are accessible privately with rental car too. You could explore the area in your own sweet time. But I did notice there were not many signs with specific directions inside the forest. And no labels on the plants. Most places no mobile signals either. That said, you could do it on your own. I cannot say enough about this trip. It is for all ages and a great little Maui to explore comfortably. PS: Hope Brian wins the Halloween costume contest today ( 31st Oct 2025)

There was no one else on the tour except one couple, whom we had no issues with. The 7 people on the bus was my family of 5 and one couple. 1. There was a hiccup in your booking system, you allowed us to book a tour because you did not close your online reservation window. If you were sold out why did the website allow us to make a reservation? Hence the "hiccup". After we booked the tour, we did move a flight around so this person could make the tour that we had a confirmation email for. Very unprofessional to email the next morning saying you were sold out AFTER we made the booking. Yes we did book late but if you were sold out you shouldn't have allowed us to make the booking plain and simple. We called multiple times because we were asking about pick up arrangements and were told to keep calling back to see when/if the tour filled up, because only then would they be able to tell us what pick up rotation we would be in. I wanted to know what hotel would be the first pick up, etc. I didn't care that our two parties were not on the same bus, which was why I didn't mention it in the booking. 2. Since you claim to have the proof that he wasnt speeding, why dont you show it? It absolutely does corroborate with the Google maps picture. I did move the camera to get a video of how bumpy the bus was DUE TO HOW FAST THE DRIVER WAS SPEEDING! But I'll include another video straight ahead where you can see how fast he flies past the mountain. As for your lies, you need to come up with better ones. I asked for a Spanish translator due to the fact only ONE person in our party spoke Spanish. The fact that you guys said we were speaking Spanish all day is hilarious because NO ONE IN OUR PARTY SPEAKS SPANISH except my mother in law, who didn't speak the whole trip. Let's add more proof that you guys are racist - when the driver picked us up II asked about the Spanish ear piece translator before my mother in law was there. The driver said no, he said I speak a little Spanish so I will do my best to speak to help you guys out. 5 minutes later he came up to my husband and started speaking Spanish. My husband told the driver he speaks ENGLISH. Louie said oh you were quiet miguel so i figured you were the spanish speaker. we were asking about translation for my mother in law. I'll also add he made multiple claims about how Latinas were "so violent" and people had to watch out for us. let's add to the review that not only are you guys liars, you are racist liars. Your tour driver is a liar, we were all sleeping on the drive back due to how sick/tired we were. Your tour driver is clearly lying to cover his mistakes. 3. We didn't ask the tour driver for ONE illegal thing AT ALL. Due to the fact he was an arrested convict (which you can find proof of by googling it) he made illegal stops on his own! He even mentioned how the rangers loved him and when HE chose to make the illegal stop in front of the waterfalls, the ranger allowed it bc they told him make it quick. We appreciate the opportunity but never asked him for one illegal stop. 4. I never said we missed anything, I said I couldn't help but wonder if we missed something. Since you want to be so detailed, we actually DID miss Ohe'o Gulch / Seven Sacred Pools (D) Charles Lindbergh's Grave / Palapala Hoomau Church Kipahulu scenic ocean views, St. Joseph Church Kaupo Ranchlands / Haleakala backside views / Maui's Last Lava Flows (D) Maui's Upcountry / Kula (S) 6. The entire tour WAS my family. Let me also add one thing I forgot to the review someone in your company gave our tour guide my number and he texted me twice asking me for his tip which was EXTREMELY unprofessional. This is an extreme safety violation. He unprofessionally texted me "This ***** Just making sure I did venmo right.. If sent tip, I have not recieved..." at 7:27pm. And "If you could let me know.." at 7:56pm. For my safety, I should NEVER have received text asking about a TIP! Even if he was wondering about the tip because he wasn't used to electronics, you still should never text someones personal cell phone number. Since he did mention multiple times that he was a liability I was scared he was going to show up to our hotel since he knew my number, hotel location, etc. Where is the response to the bulk of my review??? Do you have an explanation for how we know all this information about him being fired from his last tour job? How the current owner was only allowing him to drive as a fill in driver as a favor? Why was he a liability? Bc he speeds and risks the lives of passengers? In one of my videos I do have him talking about the story of how his dad gave him money and guns to illegally transport. As I have over 500 videos from this tour, you guys are lucky I don't want to go through and find the hard proof I have. Where is your hard proof?

Pretty close to the scheduled meeting time the van pulled up to our resort. The van was spacious with huge windows. Our tour was full with all 12 passenger seats occupied. Our driver/guide was Travis. He was born and raised in Hana and was a wealth of knowledge about Hana, Maui, and Hawaii. He seemed to be related to all the locals he passed on the road. There was not dull moment. Among the stops along the way were Maui Tropical Plantation for breakfast, Auntie Sandy's Banana Bread stand for those that wished to purchase, Wai'anapanapa State Park (black sand beach, also with a lava tube and a blow hole), Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park (usually calm enough to swim but the falls were roaring due to rain earlier in the day), and Ho'okipa Beach with turtles on the beach. Travis was an excellent driver and guide. We got great value from the cost of the excursion. One minor thing did bother us. We are Jewish and were uncomfortable during the praising Jesus sing-along. Regardless, we recommend this tour and especially Travis as a guide.

This was my second "Road to Hana" tour. I won't review the places the tour stopped at or visited. I…read morewill review the tour company and the services. Pickup was on time although they text us that morning saying the pickup would be 5-10 minutes early. While I appreciated the company's responsiveness in honoring my special seating request, our front (first) row seats on the bus labeled "Alaka'i" had a very narrow window that required us to strain our necks to see the views outside. I noticed that the other three Valley Isle buses on tours that day did not appear to have this issue. I provided the company feedback regarding this seating issue. In our humble opinion, these seats should not be sold. My advice: to avoid the kind of disappointment we experienced, you should always ask for seat reservations and note clearly and specifically to the company that you do not want the first row seats on a bus with seating configuration like Alaka'i's. If you don't and you are picked up last, you will risk getting stuck in these seats from sunrise to sundown. Regarding the amenities, the breakfast was underwhelming, consisting only of a pre-arranged plate of a few pieces of fruit and 2 small muffins. The driver did remind us this was going to be a continental breakfast. There are many versions of continental breakfast but this one truly disappoints. Additionally, the lunch provided, though delicious, was not from the "world-famous" Huli Huli chicken location as the guide led everyone to believe; instead, the guide brought pre-packaged boxes of food from another source. (Please see similar experience from earlier reviews.) My advice: feed yourself before they pick you up or bring something more fulfilling to eat on the bus between breakfast and lunch. Finally, while our driver was incredibly knowledgeable about Maui's culture and history, his demeanor was sometimes overbearing. He frequently called out guests for yawning or dozing off and insisted on undivided attention during his occasional politically biased historical recount. All this made part of the tour experience feel more like a classroom than a tour. He also ridiculed all the not-so-nice reviews he has received. He will probably tell you about this one, too. So buyers beware: your Valley Isle guide could be a bit too much fun for you. :-)

So happy we found this amazing experience. I really wanted to check out a farm in Maui but all the…read morepopular tours were booked up. I found Coconut Information and thought it was a great fit because our group loves coconuts! Ryan was so passionate and knowledgeable not only about coconuts but also conservation and sustainability - we were all amazed at the work he put in for his farm. It was so lush with all types of fruit trees and produce - we even saw baby ducks that had hatched just the day before. The experience was a farm tour, educational workshop, coconut tasting, and cooking class all rolled into one. We really enjoyed learning about the multi-faceted coconut and about Ryan's journey with the farm. The coconut noodles he made us were SO GOOD. Seriously blew our minds and can't wait to make it at home and share with others. Truly a fun, inspiring, and educational experience. We couldn't stop raving about it after we left. Ryan even sent us home with a "4-pack" of coconuts so we could have some fresh coconut water for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend - please go check it out!
