Skyline Haleakala Sunrise tour was one we will do on our own next time. Not because the tour was bad, on the contrary, our tour guide, Billy, was incredible! As it turned out, the weather did not cooperate. It was about 50°, but with the 25-30mph winds, it felt more like 40°. The clouds were socked in one on top of the other, carrying with them some precipitation. Needless to say, the jackets that Skyline tour company provided were not only appreciated, they were an absolute must-have. There is no predicting the weather up there and you book your tour knowing there's no guarantee for a spectacular view. Though the view lacked luster, we still learned a lot about the mountain, the volcanic history, the plant life, and the Hawaiian culture as a whole. Billy also shared with us his knowledge for Pineapple 101. All and all, we had a great time but for the cost-reward risk benefit, we'll take our chances on our own next time. Manny and Hoku were the best guides! So hilarious and helpful. They truly made the experience top notch's It's so obvious why this is one of the top rated zip lines around! Started at the location on Kekaa drive for check in then were driven up to the gear area. Once we were fit for our gear we were taken up to the actual zip line start. There was about 10 or so people in our groups It was great that they had small fanny packs for our items. We were able to wear sunglasses and hats under the helmets. Multiple water stations throughout the 8 line excursion. Everything went smoothly and our guides were efficient but didn't rush us. Accepted cash or Venmo for tips. This was my first time zip lining and it could not have been better. My husband surprised me with this trip and knows of my fear of heights. With that being said, Zach and Caleb did an amazing job in making me feel comfortable and safe and were reassuring throughout the entire experience. From the intense drive to the zip lining and sharing Hawaii history the trip was amazing!! Both guys know what they are doing and made safety the top priority. Expect to get dirty as the dirt is fine and red so don't wear expensive shoes unless you don't care if they get dirty. There is cold water provided at most stations so no need to worry about that. If you get car sick make sure to sit in the front. Overall great experience and highly recommended if you are in Maui. read more

Great couple of young men who led us to the 8 zip lines. They're banter was great and the service & checkin was easy. The zip lines are intermediate at best. We've zip lined before and our previous experience was much better. We wouldn't do this again but encourage others to experience who have never zip lined. read more

5 stars for Skyline Hawaii! We booked a ziplining adventure with them during our trip and WOW--the views were absolutely breathtaking! We had originally scheduled the 8 a.m. session but were the only ones booked, so the team gave us a heads-up and offered to move us to the 9 a.m. group (which requires a 6-person minimum). We appreciated the heads-up and flexibility! Our guides, Jared and Zach, were incredible--super knowledgeable, professional, and a lot of fun to hang out with. They really made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for a mix of adrenaline and amazing scenery! read more

Is there a star worse then 1 Our original time at 8am was rescheduled to 10am Company vehicle (at least a 10 year old tahoe Z71) broke down and went into limp mode. Vehicle would not go past 20 mph and had to go back to zip line store to exchange vehicles. Both vehicles had a layer of maroon silt inside so bad that as soon as you got in you were covered in it. I wore black shoes but at the end they were maroon. Both vehicles we got in barely had any a/c probably because the cab filter was clogged with maroon silt from lack of maintenance. Got to zip line area and helmets were filthy. Unbelievable that they were still using them. I been on 5 different zip lines (puerto Rico, Oahu, kauai, etc) and by far this is the worst one. Zip lines were not that fast or long. We are from Phoenix AZ and this area where zip line is similar to phoenix. Not a Maui experience!!!!! No bottled water. A couple of igloo coolers at 2 different locations during the whole 8 zip lines. I mean come on we paid $469 for 2 people. Rip off!!! We originally signed up for the 5 zipline but were the only ones at the time. They upgraded us to an 8 line at another location which we're thankful for! Zack and Manny were AWESOME! Both tour guides really made our overall experience such a pleasure, fun, and it was filled with laughters. The overall trip took around 2-3 hours. We had to drive to the zipline location to drop off our items and get geared up. Then it was another drive to our first zipline spot. Mini hike along the tour but it was amazing. We got to learn a little history about other islands too. Worth the visit. read more

Wow!! One of the best things I have ever done! Almost canceled same day as I am not naturally a lover of "extreme sports" but so glad I braved it! Manny and Hoku were absolutely amazing and immediately put my mind at ease as soon as we walked in the building of headquarters. They were both joking around and light hearted. Calmed my nerves for sure. My husband and I got the privilege of riding up the mountain with Manny and I had a front row seat to one of the best "driving improv comedy acts". Manny had the whole car laughing with his quick wit and off the cuff jokes. We dubbed him "Hawaiian Reynolds". The zip lines were awesome and they started us off easy. We got a great group of others to share the experience with as well. Felt like we really lucked out! Manny and Hoku were full of really interesting information on the history of the islands during the walks to our next line. We had an amazing time on the 8 zip trip. Our guides were Eddie and Ekaiko, and they were absolutely fantastic! They are hilariously entertaining but also caring and patient with first timers! Will definitely do it again on our next trip! One word of caution to those who get car-sick, like myself and another in my group. The van ride up the mountain is very uneven and bumpy. Make sure to take motion sick meds at or before checking in so the trip up doesn't ruin the rest of the day! read more

The ride up to the top was almost its own experience (if you experience car sickness, sit in the front). The views were incredible. I've used Skyline twice now to fill afternoons while on vacation. First tour was with my wife and I about 10 years ago. We did the Zip N Dip tour which doesn't appear to be an option anymore but was a great afternoon. Today, we took our 13 year old son on the 8-line tour. Chris and Jacob were fantastic guides! They made sure we had a blast while staying safe and they provided a lot of laughter as well. They also provided a lot of historical info during the tour which is always one of my favorite things about being on the island. We got to enjoy some cloud cover but I'd recommend sunscreen and plenty of water (water provided at the landing tower of the zip lines). Can't wait for our daughter to be old enough to enjoy this with us and we will absolutely take another trip with Skyline. read more

My daughter and I had a great time zip lining with our guides, Manny and Randall! I've been zip lining several times and this was one of the most seamless experiences from check-in to drop-off. They take care of water and storing your items so you don't have to worry about bringing much. The ride up to the top relatively short, but bumpy so if you get car sick, be warned! 8 lines was the perfect amount for us, we felt like we had a variety of experiences without it taking up the whole day. This was terrible costumers service. They had told us when booking to show up to our tour at 9am so we did and when we got there we watched as the bus left and refused to turn around for us. They proceeded to tell us we needed to be there at 8:30 when they had told us a day before to be there at 9. no phone call or nothing about our reservation. They were extremely rude and showed no care to help us after we gave many attempts to solve this. ruined our hawaii morning. read more
