We had breakfast at Jimmy's Down the Street on a busy holiday weekend and it was amazing!!! Michelle, our server was awesome! She was kind, professional and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner theme with cozy booths was super fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated! The restaurant is also family owned which makes the dining experience even more special. I enjoyed reading their story on the back of the menu! It was nice to see Jimmy and his wife Anna working alongside their staff! I highly recommend Jimmy's Down the Street for breakfast or lunch!

Jimmy's is a MUST STOP! Michelle was our waitress and she is so perfectly kind and attentive. Do not be intimidated by the line outside because it actually goes super fast. The food arrived hot & fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner theme is so fun and unique.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are the best in the area, and the portions are great. Thank you Jimmy's team! Went to this place and got there about 9 AM thank goodness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]About 15 minutes later it started to get really crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had these pecan rolls that looked like to die for too much for me. They had a menu on the light side and we were over 65, since my husband and I were traveling. So I had an omelette, fruit, and one of their biscuits. My an omelette, potatoes and biscuit. So we split the fruit and the potatoes. I also had coffee. Everyone was so nice. Made sure I had coffee. Did I need anything. While we were there, my daughter called me and said is it very crowded can we get in and I said yes hurry up. So she and her husband were on the other side and they had the pecan roll to share. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the servers were dressed so cute and the whole place is cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The good angels were watching us. We had planned to go to another breakfast place, but the wait times were 45 minutes plus. We called Jimmy's and they said it was moving fast and the wait was about 10 minutes. So we headed that way. The wait was exactly that, 10 minutes. But to our delight, this place was featured by Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins & Dives show. My wife and I are big fans of the show. I ordered the Big Texas Breakfast and my wife ordered Jimmy's OMG burger with onion rings. The food was fantastic . Portions were huge. Everything we saw come out from the kitchen looked delicious. And to top it off, we met the owner, Jimmy, who was a delightful man. Our waitress was super awesome as well. Can't wait to come back to Idaho and eat here again.

This is famous Pecan roll. You must try this for dessert.

Very good diner food. Best breakfast in CDA. Pecan Roll was excellent. It's very sweet and you can share it with a big party. The staff were friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cool diner vibes inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend.

My sister and I came here for breakfast after a girls night out! We were hungry and wanted a good hearty breakfast. The service here was great. Our waitress was kind and attentive and really felt like she enjoyed her job and wanted to give us a great experience. The atmosphere is super fun. From the music, to the decor, to what the waitresses wear - it was all part of the oldies theme and super fun. We loved the vibe. It reminded us of our Dad. My sister got a scramble and thought it was good. It wasn't anything amazing, but it was what she wanted/needed to fill her belly. I got the stuffed French toast with strawberries. I unfortunately did not like it. It was dry and the "stuffed" was just two dry pieces of bread with wayyyy too much sweet cream filling between them. It was more like a sandwich than stuffed French toast, and it was WAY too sweet. It really needed something savory or some kind of crunch to round out the dish, and the French toast def needed to be soaked in the mixture longer to avoid it being as dry as it was. We were glad we went, because we were hungry, but next time we will probably try a different place!

Old-fashioned diner with top-notch food. I usually order corned beef hash so I can drench it with ketchup. Jimmy's was so good I ate it as served. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Visitors, get yourselves out of the downtown area and enjoy a great breakfast with locals at Jimmy's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Caramel Pecan Roll

The most of the food I had here (3 separate breakfasts) were decent. Mostly your classic diner food, if anything a bit under-salted and over-buttered. The only real standout was the Pecan Caramel Roll, I would visit this restaurant for that roll alone, and it really is the only consistent reason to visit. The wait staff is all friendly, and the old diner-style vibe of the uniforms is fun. It is a small and cozy spot, with a lot of memorabilia from their time on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives. Overall, a fun spot to stop but I probably wouldn't go back for the standard breakfasts.

Delicious diner food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, well organized place with friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nichole waited on me and she was on point with the service - plenty of fresh, hot coffee and cold water refills. Breakfast and lunch only. No carry out available. Introduced myself to Jimmy, the proprietor - he was super warm and all class. He loves Coeur d'Alene and it shows. You will enjoy Jimmy's.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]LOVE LOVE THIS AMAZING PLACE!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Weekends have long lines stretching to the street so come early and get your name in..[[HIGHLIGHT]]The best music is played here.. lots of oldies ..decor too with old license plates for our USA...Thanks for creating an amazing eatery..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Welcomed by Jim at the door. He saw us coming and sat us immediately. Made us feel right at home. Classic American diner with all the Diner nostalgia. We ordered the big Texas breakfast. Excellent!

We ordered the spring salads with grilled chicken. It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. Also the bathroom had no hand towels to dry my hands. Sorry to be disappointed. It might have been an off day as it seems pretty popular.

It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.
