I am sad to say that I had to come back and edit my review. This is my original review: This place was AMAZING!!! Not only an incredible job, but great service and fun interesting employees!!! The best part was all the men clients coming through - how great to see gender diversity in a shop traditionally for women! I brought both my daughters (teen who was laughing the whole time and young child who got a beautician who was fun and made her smile a lot). I love this place! We will be back regularly!! The service still was GREAT but every one of my cuticles on my hands were cut SO low that 2 days later they are still red and swollen and look like fresh bleeding wounds. I have gone here on and off for years. I have never had such a bad experience! Last week I waited 25 minutes even though I had an appt for pedicure. The water was cold when I sat down. They switched nail techs 3 times. After nearly 2 hours in the salon i still didn't have gel on my toes. I told them I needed to get going. They quickly put gel on my toes and knocked the curing light on the nail. It was not smooth. When I mentioned it, the girl told me it was fine... the final straw was that they don't take cards for payment. They accept Venmo which is fine by me, but i was asked to not to mention nails in the comment of the Venmo transaction. I did pay, (because one of the mail techs was very kind and she did a great job), but I wish I just walked out. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable. read more

This is on my list of never again. I read the reviews prior to my appointment, but I went anyway since I had a gift certificate. I decided to add on a service that I wish I wouldn't have. This was my first time in 3 years that I have done something to pamper myself and it made me not want to do it again. Keep in mind there were two employees there and had 4 clients at one point. There was confusion from the get go. There were no questions of what I wanted or what I was looking for. Although the lady who did my pedicure was nice, she had to communicate with the other gal to communicate with me. Most of my interaction with her was stares and smiles. Ok, that's fine. There was a lot of popping and cracking of toes and ankles that I didn't know came with the pedicure massage. While she was trimming my cuticles she poked and cut me.... I said OUCH! And she just smiled. What the heck! I have to say the worst part of this visit was my manicure. Again, no one asked what I wanted or what I was looking for. Either way I chose what I thought would work and the pedi lady started the mani. While she cut and buffed, I couldn't help but overhear the conversation next to me. These two young girls maybe 12 were getting their nails done and every time they asked for something whether it was a color or a certain flower, the employee would say no to them. No I can't do a sunflower, her nails are already yellow. How about a rose? No, I'm not going to do a rose. You want a white flower right, I'll do a white flower... and proceeded to do just that. I wanted to say something, but I wasn't sure what to say! So the girls just slumped and let her do what SHE wanted. Mind you the entire time anyone said or did something, she acted as if she was bothered by it all. Mid mani, my lady left to attend another client and the lady next to her left her client and jumped over to finish mine. So she rushed through the nail polish and rushed to the top coat. Directed me to the drying area and told me it was going to take 20 minutes or so. Basically told me to restart the machine for however long it took. While I did that, I watched as she repeatedly got up to text on her phone until she decided to bring her phone to the table and text WHILE she finished this girls nails. She went back and forth between 3 clients not washing her hands in the process. Unsanitary and unprofessional! 32 minutes later.... I asked her if I was done and she didn't even look up and said yea should be. I said I have a question, are there supposed to be so many air bubbles on my nails... ALL of my nails? Literally looked like sponges. She offered to fix them and said she could put a top coat on them. I told her a top coat would do nothing if the air bubbles are underneath what's already dry. She decided to go in with a top coat anyway and after she did, she said that's not going to work I have to take it all off. Are you kidding me!? She said it's ok I'm not in a hurry I have time. I told her I don't have another 45 minutes to spend here. She blamed the nail polish and said she would do another coat of it, a top coat and quick dry. She said see, all good now. Immediately after the quick dry was put on and the fan blew air on it, it moved the polish to make it look like there was a big fingerprint on it. So 2 hours and 15 minutes later, I walked out with something I could've screwed up at home for free. I was so preoccupied with me fingernails, I didn't even have a chance to see the mess of my toes. Here I am 2 days later with what I can only describe as acne face plastered with makeup only on my nails. The worst bumpy and uneven fingernails my one year old could've done better. My friend and I went in today for acrylics and pedicures. They just painted her toes they completely didn't do the pedicure part at all. The nails are good, but the customer service sucked. They barely said a word to us and the woman doing my nails seemed very rushed and rough. She didn't do any of cleaning part of the cuticles or of the actual nails. This is a little salon tucked away by the west Fred Meyers entrance. In terms of aesthetics and cleanliness it gets a 7/10, the salon itself. However, the lady who I assume is the manager and does the acrylic fills is a sweetheart who is very talented. She fixed my nails that were previously done very chunky, super thick, and an inconsistent shape. She smoothed them out really well and the shaping was perfection. She knows what she's doing. I paid $40.50 for an acrylic fill with gel polish. I usually pay $35-$40 so the price is good too. I would return here for sure. read more

When I called to make an appointment, I asked if they do gel nails and was told yes. It turns out that they only do acrylic nails with gel polish ... not the same thing. I didn't find that out until we were already in the process of doing my nails (mine clipped short and tips glued on). While Vivian did a fairly decent job, I ended up with a variety of lengths and shapes (aren't your nails supposed to kinda match?). Of greatest concern however, was the fact that all the tools: drills, files, clippers, etc. were kept in her top drawer and tossed back in after every use. She didn't use a separate file for me (I would have been happy to pay for a new one) and the tools were pulled out and stuck back in the drawer without bothering to sterilize them after every use. The shop itself could use a good cleaning, the place just doesn't look clean. I was also not asked to wash my hands before she worked on my nails and she didn't wash her hands between customers. In the middle of getting my nails done someone came in for a brow waxing and she stopped working on my nails to do the brow waxing. I'm not planning on going back ever. I have come here several times and the results have always been crappy. I always leave unhappy. The only reason I kept going here was because it was conveniently located next to Fred Meyer. The last time I went in really made me decide to never come back. I usually get my nails done by the man who owns the place but this last time although my appointment was booked with him, I got the wife. She does NOT know how to do nails! She is usually answering the phone or ringing customers up and that's what she should probably stick to. My gel polish started bubbling up on the sides and eventually peeled off within 4 days. When drying my nails under light she kept insisting they were dry, but they were not causing my polish to wrinkle. She attempted to do coffin style nail but she failed and took way too much in on the sides. Each nail was uneven and nothing matched. Aside from this incident I always feel like I am being rushed, even if I had made an appointment prior to coming in. You can tell by the work everything just looks rushed also. I don't even know where to begin when writing this. I wanted to go to a different salon but they were booked up so I went in thinking it can't be that bad, it's a simple design and pedicure... I went in to get a simple white polish with a silver glitter by the base of my toe fading up. I am NOT picky at all about how much glitter and where it goes but as you can see, I have a rectangle of glitter and a rectangle of white. Exactly what I told her I did not want when she showed me on her finger. It also took them an hour and a half to do these and I was getting extremely antsy in my seat and ready to leave... I want to thank my fellow local Yelpers for their reviews of Ten Perfect Nails. I have had bad luck with nail salons here in Medford and so I turned to Yelp to see if I could find a good one. With all the great reviews I went to check it out. I thought it was great! Clean. Friendly. Easy to work with. All of the latest options (shellac, gel nails, acrylic) and the most beautiful and amazing massage chairs! The prices were average/normal for mani/pedi. They do include both the foot/leg and hand/arm massage with their mani/pedi which is so great. The good stuff: clean, friendly, cool fish tank, prices, beautiful chairs, excellent quality (the guy that did my nails did a fantastic job! and the gal that did my toes did a great job as well). The less good: it was really cold in there and I had to have them change the temperature of the water in my pedicure bath because it was just barely above cool ( I like it nice and warm). Their door doesn't close automatically, so every time someone came or went the door would hang open letting the cold January air in. Turn up the heat and fix the door! Those are my suggestions. Otherwise, Ten Perfect Nails was really just what I was looking for. They do offer additional services like waxing, though I have not tried that yet. I will be back! read more

The owner was extremely rude. I went to the salon for a pedicure. The pedicurist did not have mail clippers or a nail file. I asked how could she complete the service without the tools needed. The owner respond by saying, "we're out!" She can use what she has. I was halfway through the service. I was so aggravated, I just asked her to polish my toenails clear so I could leave. I've been here twice and the first time my daughter and I both got solar nails put on. The older gentleman filed my daughters nails and skin on the side of her finger so hard he had to get out the antibacterial solution and put it on her. So... Started out with booking an appointment 5 days in advance for a side by side pedi. We get there and there are not two seats next to eachother. They made another lady move which was nice but inconvenient for her. It was really hot in there. No fresh air at all (law violation). Then I went to the restroom and it was not clean, the soap dispenser was broken, there was a community towel (law violation) and no paper towels (law violation). Was very disappointed with today's service. The initial foot massage was short and not thorough. The paint on my nails was done very poorly and you could see through the paint. They did not have proper sterilization methods in place. Lastly, I was not aware that they only took cash until the very end. It was hand written on a barely noticeable sign. By far the worst salon I've ever been to. I don't think I've ever gone to a salon that's had this much disrespect and rudeness. Made a reservation for 3, and they almost didn't take me and my friends because we all wanted manis and pedis, so I ended up getting a mani while my friends both got pedis. On the phone they had a really bad attitude, and told us we'd only be accepted if we paid cash. Owner was rude, didn't like to answer questions, and whenever she'd answer she'd reply with condescending remarks and tone. I was counting out cash, and the owner asked me what I was doing like I didn't know how to do math. I had to blatantly tell her to wait because she was being incredibly rude. This place is disgusting. I saw what appeared to be a waxing kit (absolutely filthy). Very unsanitary conditions.
