Service: On the slower side, especially during happy hour, so come prepared to linger. Drinks: The Eyes Wide Shut ($14) was phenomenal, especially the passionfruit limoncello foam which was airy, fruity, and sweet. Really weird experience here. The manager, an Asian man, treated us noticeably different from other customers. We were the only Hispanic group there that night and it honestly felt uncomfortable and classist. He added a 25% tip to our bill but wasn't doing that to the white customers around us. Upon arrival, noticed that the venue is quite small. The hostesses placed us in the back behind a large beam in which the server could not see us. Took awhile to be attended to. Eventually had to ask to be moved. My friend told the server she is lactose intolerant so any food items with dairy please do not serve. Ordered a salmon roll, bit into it and the server failed to mention that there was cream cheese in the dish. Once we told her, she doubled down and said it's a dense cheese. I had a weird experience here. Apparently Thursday- Sunday, you have to pay a $30 cover per person to enter. It does include 1 cocktail though. You're handed a card to give to the bartender to redeem. When my friend and I entered, it was packed. There were 2 open tables, but we were told that tables were for reservations only. So we had to stand by the bar. It took some time before we got the bartender's attention and could order. I got the my boyfriend's out of town. it came with a swirly straw and it was fine. Not too sweet. At some point in the night, they removed all the barstools from the bar so everyone had to stand. Not sure why they did that. At 10:11 pm, there's a "show". There's a dancer and a guy playing drums. There's a DJ who stands by the entrance. Music is loud but it's good and gets vibes going! The bar itself is stunning but not that big. Loved this cute intimate lounge, went here in a Monday for dinner which has a big influence on my experience since we were probably the third table there. The server was very sweet and super attentive. The drinks had amazing presentation and were delicious, fruity but not overly sweet. The menu was pretty limited so I was told the restaurant offered more dining options on the first floor. We ordered the wagu sliders, truffle fries, and dumplings. I tasted the everything without the sauces and they didn't disappoint the dumplings has a thin wonton layer to hold it together and the filling was flavorful the soy scallion sauce elevated it to another level. The fries did not disappoint and the cilantro mayo was delish not over bearing with the cilantro. The sliders were amazing juicy flavorful with some caramelized onions. For a venue that pretends to be high class, with forced 20% gratuity, and supposedly service oriented, there is an odd amount of problems. I echo the randomly enforced dress code. There were a lot of odd requirements for our party, despite that it was quite empty on a Monday. Relatedly, the establishment offers very unique props for the drinks. But when we asked for specific props to accompany our drinks, we were met with a lot of resistance. Look, if we need to be charged extra for our request/substitutions, that's fine. But no, the denial was swift and strict. We're just trying to have a great time but was met with opposition at every turn. I will say this spot is very Instagram-worthy. If that's what you are looking for. It is in a basement and has lounge vibes.The drinks were cute and tasty. I had the waygu sliders and the meat was tender. I tasted my friends fries, way too salty. But it is way overpriced and every question I asked the waiter he would only recommend the highest priced items and speak about how the caviar or the champagne is one of a kind and so special as if we couldn't get it anywhere. Besides that I will never be going back because in the midst of eating I saw the biggest water bug (flying roach) and he just crawled through the seats - everyone sitting jumped up as it made its way down the wall seats. Its NYC and a basement but then I saw another one next to our table, I guess one of us stepped on it when we jumped up and saw the one on the seat.Needless to say I won't be coming back. Very nice location. Found this place on TikTok and I honestly wanted to visit because it was so gorgeous. The marble counters and stairwell were eye catching. There was no cover charge which was great and I was with two of my guy friends. We honestly just enjoyed the music and took pictures. The design of this space is gorgeous with the backlit glow of the orange onyx stone. It sets a beautiful and upscale vibe that feels exquisite. Unfortunately, that's as good as it gets. As we were getting check with security and I see other girls coming in here dressed in bodycon mini dresses and heels, I started to question if this was my vibe. Once we made it inside, the music was blaring and space was crowded on a Saturday night. The tables were empty, but you weren't allowed without a reservation. There wasn't really any room at the bar either and we were barely able to squeeze our way through. When we found a QR code to scan for the menu, it was all scratched up so you couldn't even scan it. Everyone there from the staff to the crowd seemed to be in their own world. Worst of all, I couldn't even hear myself talk. I had been meaning to go to Ten11 for a while after seeing the cool interior on social media! Since there weren't any reservations available online (earlier in the night before it turns into more of a club), I called ahead to see if there was anything open and they kindly told us there would be seats at the bar. When we came, the seats at the bar were even better since the bar had the cool orange designs on it. The bartender was phenomenal in making sure the drinks were to our liking. I ordered the lychee martini and my boyfriend had the lychee lemonade, which were both amazing. We were also offered free coat check which was nice. Our waiter didn't check on us at all, didn't come over to see if we needed water refills or more drinks, etc. He barely acknowledged us when we spoke to him. The cheeseburger sliders were ok, nothing special, and they weren't served hot. The fries and sauce that came with the sliders were delicious, but we had to remind the waiter about the fries. The realm of senses drink had a kick due to the jalapeño but lacked flavor and sweetness. My friend didn't like the hotel room ten 11 drink either. This was actually the worst service I have ever received in Manhattan. I had a family member in town visiting, so I wanted to take her somewhere new and Ten11 seemed like the best spot! WRONG. Apparently the server we were supposed to have was on a break when we were seated, so the Turkish male manager waited on us. I am not someone to immediately assume sexism, but I legitimately think this man treated us significantly differently from the man at the table beside ours (where we also watched him dismiss the woman in that couple over what drink she wanted) and the two businessmen at the bar. Not only did our drinks not come out with the same presentation as the table next to us (the most minor issue in all of this but annoying), but he was super controlling and pushy. We ordered some oysters (tiny and full of sand) and a carpaccio. This man brought out Brussels sprouts, which the person I was with cannot eat. We told him that we didn't order them, and he asked, "oh, so you don't want them?" No, we don't want them. We would have ordered them had we wanted them. He brought them back to the kitchen and then a minute later came back out and tried to give them to us again. At this point, I gave up and let him put the bowl on the table. He then laughed and said that we could repay him for the free Brussels sprouts by giving a good Google review, and he placed a plastic QR code holder beside us as we were trying to enjoy what we had actually ordered. It was so tacky. If I want to feel like I'm stuck with a car salesman, I'll go to Times Square. He came back, and I asked him to take away the Brussels sprouts because we weren't going to eat them, and he acted offended and annoyed that we didn't want them. Sir, we did not order these! The ONLY reason this place is getting two stars when I want to give it one is because our actual server who came back from his break after 30 minutes of disaster and feeling belittled and marketed to by this man was amazing. Had we had him the entire time, our experience would have been completely different. The drinks were good but forgettable, the dirty oysters put me off of oysters in general for a while, and the manager (Turkish man, sorry I don't know his name) completely ruined the experience. Beautiful new lounge with the friendliest staff. We were looking for our next drinking spot and voila-ten11 was it. Literally opened yesterday. The grand opening gallons were still outside. The bouncer saw us looking for a drinking venue and welcome us is. But of course making us feel even better by checking our IDs. Omg. When was the last time my ID got checked? You walk in and there was a DJ spin table right at the front door. Later on you find out they are sounding music there with 1-2 gorgeous live dancers. They sat us down at the corner. My drink la mosa was a little watered down but the staff was so accommodating to make it just right. They added more Bacardi for me but I still found little tasteless so they added something to sweeten it up a little and the drink ended up being perfect. I really appreciated them trying to make it right and the patience and impeccable service they offered. The manager even mentioned that will be serving brunch and have upcoming themed events. If I could give this place a 0 start I would. My experience at Ten 11 was beyond unacceptable. The so-called "dress code" is complete nonsense -- and clearly applied selectively. I watched a Chinese staff member let a white girl and her group of friends in wearing outfits where you could literally see their ass, yet we were questioned and treated differently. The manager, a Puerto Rican man in his late 30s (about 38), was extremely unprofessional. Not only was he openly flirting with women half his age, but the way he acted was giving predatory vibes. He even tried to confront us on the back stairs when we challenged the unfair treatment. When we called them out, suddenly they tried to kiss our ass -- but the damage was already done. Restaurants should treat all customers with respect and fairness, but Ten 11 is the opposite. The selective enforcement of rules, the racism, the unprofessional behavior, and the creepy, inappropriate conduct from management make this place a hard no. Save your money and go somewhere where basic decency is still part of the service. read more
