I love Dolly, and we drove all the way from Tampa just to visit her truck stop. It's a fun place to explore, with a nice gift shop and a welcoming atmosphere. The employees were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The only disappointment was the food. We spent about $50, and while it was okay, it reminded us of cafeteria-style food. The wait was also longer than expected. It's a nice place to visit, but it's too bad the food didn't live up to the rest of the experience.

Buc-ee's has nothing to worry about! We were underwhelmed with Dollys. The decor was the best part about the place! The staff did not seem too thrilled with the Dolly takeover! I was most disappointed in the ridiculous prices! Most Tshirts $45-50! We didnt stay long enough to eat. Most gift items seemed about twice what they should have been priced! I've always been a Dolly fan, but was left feeling like less so!

I love Dolly and really wanted to love this place but it's just the old Tennessean with a whole lotta Dolly stuff. Parking is tough. Restrooms were crowded and dirty despite what appeared to be a full time attendant. Not her fault - no one could keep up with this zoo. Place was packed and lines were long. We used the restrooms, took a few pix, and left. For us it was a one and done.

Dolly Parton bought a truck stop, added decor, a restaurant, and gift shop. The restrooms and store were clean, but the restaurant was overwhelmed. Most of the buffet was nearly empty, and not everything was hot. Our server was very good and attentive, so we overlooked quite a bit. They need more staff and need to replenish the buffet offerings.

What a fun and nostalgic place to stop from Huntsville or Birmingham if headed to Nashville or reversed. Dolly Parton has taken an old run down truck stop and completely revived it. One side for professional drivers that has showers and a lounge, the other a large Dolly Gift shop with plenty Dolly apparel and gifts. There is a sit down restaurant with live music specializing in Barbecue and good ol' southern cooking, choose from a buffet or meats and sides. Most meals under 20.00 definitely a fun great stop. The outdoor area reminds me of a picnic in the park, you can grab a slice of pizza or brisket sandwich if looking for a quicker stop. Finally make your way to the ice cream area where you can get Dollys famous loaf of Cinnamon bread or one of her famous cups of ambition. Fun, clean spot to take a break,

Dolly's Tennessee Travel Stop was a great surprise on the road. Full sit down restaurant inside plus solid grab and go food that didn't feel like typical gas station fare. I'll say it I prefer this over Buckee's, which always felt like overhyped, fake food to me. Dolly's has real food and supports truckers, which makes it an easy choice. Glad I stopped, would go out of my way to do it again.

Dolly's Travel Stops is a great place to stop for a bite to eat while traveling. It's smaller than I expected, but it offers a wide variety of souvenirs to browse. The famous cinnamon bread is available for purchase and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you choose the all-you-can-eat country buffet or order from the menu, there are plenty of options to satisfy everyone. The brisket was cooked perfectly--tender, moist, and full of rich, smoky flavor. The selection of sides, available from both the buffet and the menu, offers something for every taste. The chicken, unfortunately, was a bit dry, although it still had decent flavor. To finish the meal, I tried the peach cobbler, which was absolutely delectable. It would have been even better served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The service was slow. It seemed like the waitress wasn't quick to serve or refill drinks. Waitressing isn't an easy job by all means, but there were many times when we wouldn't see our waitress for awhile. The atmosphere is inviting. There are murals and guitars all over. The guitars are beautifully decorated. Overall, Dolly's Travel Stops is a worthwhile stop for good comfort food, delicious baked goods, and unique souvenirs.

Super cool place. If you come anywhere near hear, you have to swing by. Great southern cooking, ice cream, souvenirs, and so much more.

If you compare Dolly's against Buc-ee's Buc-ee's is a winner by a landslide. Dolly has a lot of Dolly souvenirs, but the food is just okay. We did the grab and go for food as there were lines for coffee and treats as well as the restaurant. We picked the beef brisket sandwiches cheeseburgers, and pulled pork sandwiches. We also got the potato wedges. The brisket sandwich we got did not reflect the picture on the menu. It was a clump of meat. It's nice as a truck stop.

Very nice and clean truck stop! It even has a lounge to relax in. Great food to grab and go as well. This is your convenient stop for everything!

Our food was cold that we ordered from the restaurant. Clean bathrooms. Easy in and out. People friendly, very busy.

Word is...buffet is good, mainly for the meat loaf. The meatloaf was delicious, and the other food was pretty good. I do believe the buffet cost more than it should. They do offer a lower price at lunchtime, but it's still not what you would consider a lunch price. They are getting a one review because I got food poisoning. I was so sick for the next several days! I will not ever eat there again. I don't know if it was from poor food preparation or unsanitary people handling the community utensils. It's a shame that precautions can't be made to prevent this from happening and having return restaurant customers. As far as the store part of this establishment, it was an adventure to walk through. I did like looking at all the stuff and that they had ole timey candies. Again, higher priced than I was willing to pay today. Guess if I'm craving a particular kind of candy or want a particular item , I'll be more prepared to pay up next time.

We went Sunday before the grand opening and it was nice. It wasn't crowded. Then we went Friday of the grand opening (on the way back through town) and it was chaos, which is to be expected. The lines in the bathroom were long. The only thing I would change in the bathroom was the location of stuff because people in the line were blocking the paper towels and trash cans so I would move the trash cans around. I bought her makeup which I'm excited to try and the price was on point for more expensive brands but some of the keychains were $20 which was insane. A simple tank top runs about $30. I loved the guitar chandelier. It was neat. We also loved that there was a good area for the dog to move around and do her business. I just wish all dog owners were responsible and cleaned up after their pets.

All truck drivers avoid this place now. It's no longer a truck stop this is a big gas station/knick knack store. I will not be back here.

The online menu is not current with regard to not only price but even food selections. What I had planned on ordering was no longer offered. I ended up ordering the fried chicken salad with blue cheese dressing asking for no onions. Waitress returned to tell me and several others at the table that they were out of chicken tenders, hence no fried chicken salad. I upgraded to the steak salad. I'm guessing the few pieces of grizzle a top the lettuce was what was being referred to as steak. Also on the salad were the onions I asked not be included. Two packets of ranch dressing were tossed on top of the salad, not even the blue cheese I had asked for. My wife ordered the 12 inch pizza, as did several others who were part of the group. No one told us at time of ordering that they can cook ONLY ONE pizza at a time and each pizza takes 20 minutes. Indeed, one pizza at a time was brought out to our group spaced 20-25 minutes apart. My wife finally received her pizza well after everyone else had finished eating. Roughly 90 minutes after having placed her order. To add insult, each and every one of the pizzas was burnt on the bottom. About halfway through our meal a guitar playing entertainer arrived. As much as we did not need him telling us of his dire financial situation and how much he'd appreciate money in his tip jar or contributions via the QR code he had displayed, we certainly didn't need to hear his views on current social issues. The worst of it all was how loud he played. It was impossible to hold a conversation across the table. Forgot about speaking to someone at the other end of our group. We can't imagine a reason to ever return to Mickey's Garage.

After my experience, I think the statements are a bit exaggerated, although I do give it high marks. The name Grindstone cowboy is a nice play on words. First, they are a coffeeshop with a bar and deli type items, so grindstone fits well with the title. Grindstone Cowboy is a nice play on Rhinestone Cowboy, the song by Glen Campbell in the 1970s. The western feel of the restaurant complements the name. There is also a vintage store attached to the restaurant/bar for those who happen to like a little shopping with their meal. I had the BLT and she had the chicken salad sandwich. I will say I am not a huge fan of chicken salad, but I could eat this one (would not be tops on my list, but I could do it). The BLT was very nice. I added avocado and don't regret that decision. I thought the bread and bacon choice was on point. A heirloom tomato would have popped this up another notch. Overall, enjoyed it. I do feel the pricing is a bit high for a small town diner. Perhaps it is as popular as the social media post suggested? I did pay in cash to avoid the 4% credit card fee. Would I return? I would not go out of my way to get back here, but if I was passing through, I would certainly consider another go if I was in the mood for a sandwich.

I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.
