We just moved to the Nashville area and one of the very first restaurants we wanted to try was TennFold Brewing. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. There were fans blowing which was nice for a hot day. The patio is completely shaded and there are lots of seats both inside and out. Jaime was our waitress and she was outstanding! She made us feel welcome and was attentive throughout our meal. One of my favorite things waiters do is bring out another drink before the first one is done. Those waiters are a dime a dozen and Jaime came back with a refill when my first cup was half full. My husband ordered a pizza and I ordered the blueberry chicken sandwich. I think that was the first time in my entire life that I ordered a sandwich at a restaurant and holy moly, am I glad that was my first! The bread was crispy on the outside and had a nice sponginess on the inside. The pesto and blueberry combination was so delicious and unique. My husband's pizza was really good, too. He kept stealing my fries (rightfully so, I could order an entire bowl of those by themselves). The sweet tea was comforting and my husband's IPA was smooth (I had taken a pain reliever prior to lunch so I only had a small sip). I want to come back for drinks on the patio again because his beer tasted great. TennFold Brewing is awesome and was definitely the best choice for our first few days in our new home state. We will be back for more delicious food and drinks!

Half & half, margherita and smoke show.

New to this area of town and couldn't believe all the options. We settled on TennFold. We got a warm welcome and the service from Mary was phenomenal. Very helpful with options and suggestions. Hot tip:: you can split the pizza in half selecting different options - we got half margherita and half smoke show. The pizza was great! Also ordered the cheese curd and it was delicious with the green goddess sauce. The restaurant is much larger than anticipated from the road and has loads of seating, indoor and outdoor. I enjoyed watching espn while taking a look at the brewing equipment. Great local place!

Tenneshootoe & Smoked Apple Pizza (smoked garlic sauce, gorgonzola, bourbon smoked apples, Tenneshootoe Country Ham, hot honey)

My wife and I stopped into TennFold Brewing after I was granted the honor of "you choose the place, I don't care." It was our first time trying TennFold Brewing and my gamble absolutely paid off. We were greeted right away and the whole staff was incredibly friendly. Our server, Jamie, took great care of us and was quick to refill my wife's drink before we even asked. Fantastic service all around! I ordered the Tenneshootoe & Smoked Apple Pizza and can't recommend it enough. The rich gorgonzola and ham were really complimented by the sweetness of the bourbon-smoked apples and hot honey. Now I'll struggle with wanting to order that again next time rather than trying something new.

The Brewery

I was expecting bar food when I visited this Brewery/Pizza place, but the food we had was very good. They have a seasonal menu along with seasonal beers and year rounds beers, cocktails and wine. They offer Apps, Soup, Salads, Handhelds, Entrees, Deserts and Woodfired Pizzas. They have plenty of parking and have a covered patio that is dog friendly. The Pizzas are about 14 inches round and they have cauliflower gluten free crust and vegan cheese as an option. The service was very good and the staff were friendly. Opry Mills mall used to be an amusement park called 'Opryland' and the main roller coaster was called the Wabash Cannonball-- Anyway- they named one of their pizzas after that ride. Kinda nostalgic for me being that I'm a native Nashvillian and I remember riding that roller coaster. It's a very tasty pizza.

Blueberry Pesto chicken sandwich

Great fun casual sports restaurant. Delish blueberry pesto chicken sandwich with potato salad and katsu sandwich with side of broccolini. Now for those who do not like al dente veggies do not order this. I loved it since southern style is very cooked. Drew was a friendly and attentive with awesome eyeglasses Margarita and festive America beer good too. Pets welcome in covered outdoor tables.

Honey hive

Had possibly the best pizza in my life here! Hands down the best topping combo I've ever had. I had the honey hive pizza which is white sauce, fontina cheese, butternut squash, cold smoked bacon, hot honey, & sage. This pizza was perfect in every way, all of these ingredients were made to go together. There's tons of seating, large menu, and fast and friendly service! My Rosemary cocktail was just okay, so I would try a different one next time.

Chicken Entree (DS)

The food was good! The sweet potatoes were a little soft not crunchy! The chicken sandwich was weak! It was not fully dressed and the Chicken tasted fine. Not even a breast of chicken it was less Chick-fil-A's breakfast chicken sandwich. The sauce was outstanding. The staff is very nice and friendly will go out of their way to accommodate you!

Loved this spot! My BIL took me after picking me up from the airport. Huge indoor and outdoor seating really great ambience, warm wood and glass. You can see the brewery and how it works. The staff was great, super helpful made suggestions and assisted with dietary needs. Looks like a great local spot for happy hour as it was very busy at this time. Service was still swift and efficient. Lots of beer, choices, as well as cider and seltzer. All the drinks were icy cold! I wanna make this my staple spot every time I fly into Nashville . Thanks for a great lunch Tennfold!

Very nice! They have beer, which you kind of expect out of a brewery, but it was good, too! It was a nice place, friendly people, very fast and good service. Many flavors of beer, but not so many you feel like you need to drink them all so you can try everything. I had some bar food and quite enjoyed my time in this space.

Smoke Show (DS) pizza
Kelsey Z.

A+ on the pizza menu options!! Creative and wide variety to appeal to every eater. The smoke show was our favorite, we got the cilantro aioli on the side to use as a dipping sauce. Docking a star because I think the dough/crust could be improved. Big space with lots of tables and a large patio, beer selections were also numerous. If I find myself in Donelson area this is the spot!

Tennfold Salad (DS)

I went here with a group after the Nashville regatta for dinner because it wasn't far from our hotel and they have vegan options. Service was fantastic, restaurant wasn't too crowded even though it was a Saturday night. Everyone in my group was thrilled with their meal. The salad was quite good, wish there were even more vegan options to choose from but I was happy to find a place that worked for everyone.

In the spirit of getting out and making an effort to explore my new city I decided to find a place to go and enjoy a solo date night and grab a fancy drink. You know the vibes a Carrie Bradshaw moment but make it Nashville style. I found this place via instagram and read all the great reviews and decided to get out and try it. A cozy place tucked and hidden in the heart of east Nashville. It is somewhat hidden with a small parking area but I was fortunate enough to get parking right in front. I walked in and the decor is pops of red and black mixed with gold. The light is dim so it's a perfect date night spot or place to meet and have an intimate small group gathering. It wasn't busy and I enjoyed that there wasn't too many people. The vibes are relaxed and I was greeted right away. Checking out the menu I decided on a spicy margarita concoction with tajin. The bartender brought it out and it was the perfect blend of flavor, spice and alcohol. It was refreshing and sweet/spicy. Perfect. This place is the perfect solo date night spot or date spot with your special someone or catch up sessions with friends. I enjoyed sitting, sipping and writing this review. Solo dates can be daunting and being in a new city can be daunting as well but finding hidden gems like this make it worth while. A destination restaurant hiding inside a destination resort…read more When people think of the Gaylord Opryland, they usually think of the stunning indoor gardens, waterfalls, and sprawling atriums. What they may not realize is that tucked inside this incredible resort is one of the finest old-school steakhouses in Nashville. Old Hickory Steakhouse exceeded every expectation. A group of us settled in for what turned into a leisurely four-and-a-half-hour dinner, and honestly, it never felt rushed. It was the kind of evening where conversation flowed, wine glasses stayed full, and every course gave us another reason to linger a little longer. The dining room has timeless steakhouse elegance. Crisp white tablecloths, attentive but unobtrusive service, and gorgeous views overlooking the resort's indoor gardens make it feel like you're dining in a hidden oasis rather than inside a convention hotel. And then there's the food... We ordered enough to experience nearly every corner of the menu. The bone-in ribeye was beautifully marbled with a deeply caramelized crust and that rich, buttery flavor ribeye lovers chase. The tomahawk was every bit the showstopper. Perfectly aged, sliced for sharing, incredibly tender, and cooked to a gorgeous medium-rare. It was one of those centerpieces that makes everyone at neighboring tables stop and look. The double-cut pork chop deserves its own applause. Thick, juicy, perfectly grilled, with just enough char to add smoky depth while staying remarkably moist. The filet was everything a filet should be--fork tender with an elegant sear. The scallops were another standout. Beautifully caramelized with a golden crust while remaining silky and sweet inside. They disappeared almost immediately. We also shared the steak tartare, which was expertly prepared and beautifully balanced, followed by an artisan cheese selection that made a wonderful transition before dessert. The sides easily hold their own. The lobster mac and cheese was unapologetically rich and creamy. The loaded baked potato arrived overflowing with all the classic steakhouse indulgence. The French onion soup was deeply savory beneath its bubbling blanket of beautifully browned cheese. Even the Caesar salad impressed, served with crisp whole romaine leaves generously dressed and finished with plenty of Parmesan. Fresh warm rolls with whipped butter started the evening exactly the way every great steakhouse should. Dessert somehow found room despite all of that. The coconut cake was enormous, impossibly moist, layered with coconut, and paired with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. It's absolutely meant for sharing, although you may not want to. Service throughout the evening was polished, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. No one hurried us despite the length of our dinner, and every course arrived with impeccable timing. Yes, it's a splurge. But restaurants like this aren't simply about eating dinner. They're about slowing down, celebrating, sharing stories, and remembering why classic steakhouses have endured for generations. If you're staying at the Gaylord Opryland, don't make the mistake of leaving the resort for dinner. One of Nashville's best dining experiences may already be waiting just steps from your room. Life is simply too short not to eat well and travel well. Old Hickory Steakhouse lets you do both.

We chose to go to The Library, which is located within The Old Hickory Steakhouse, simply because we liked the name -- we figured a bar called The Library would be quiet and chill, and it was. All the cocktails had literary names and puns, such as Life of Chai, Gift of a Magi, and Treasure Island. I ordered Fahrenheit 451 (Old Hickory bourbon, raw sugar, Regan's orange bitters, and cherrywood smoke -- they actually set the drink on fire so it would smoke), and my sister had Great Expectations (Zephyr gin, Italicus, lemon, pomegranete, simple syrup, and Zardetto Prosecco). We really enjoyed our drinks, and despite being pricy (drinks ranged from $15 to $18, which, while not cheap, is not higher than most places), we would liked to have stayed for another one, but unfortunately we only had time for one round. Nestled along the Delta Atrium, this lively tavern feels worlds away from a convention hotel. With outdoor patio seating overlooking the indoor waterways and lush gardens, I kept forgetting I was inside a resort. The atmosphere reminded me of the River Walk in San Antonio--relaxed, energetic, and full of people enjoying good food, good drinks, and good conversation. This became one of our favorite places to unwind. The bartenders were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun. Whether you stop in for a local Tennessee bourbon, a craft beer, or one of their signature cocktails, you'll feel right at home. Our group shared nearly everything on the snack menu, and that's absolutely the way to experience it. The house-cured beef jerky was tender, savory, and layered with soy, ginger, black pepper, and just enough chili flake to keep you reaching for another bite. The "Caviar of the South" pimento cheese lived up to its Southern nickname. Rich buttermilk cheddar blended with roasted pimentos, served with crisp house-made crackers that disappeared almost immediately. The candied pecan-crusted bacon planks struck that perfect balance of smoky, salty, and sweet. They're indulgent in all the right ways. The crunchy spicy garlic pickles were bright, crisp, and refreshing, offering a welcome contrast between the richer bites. The crispy black-eyed peas were addictive. Lightly seasoned with sea salt and barbecue spice, they were one of those snacks everyone kept grabbing handfuls of without realizing it. And don't skip the chocolate pecan brittle. The hickory-smoked caramelized cocoa nibs gave it a wonderful Southern twist that made a simple sweet finish feel memorable. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was how comfortable the entire experience felt. No one hurried us. The atmosphere encouraged conversation, laughter, and lingering over another round. If you're staying at Gaylord Opryland, don't assume you need to leave the resort to find a great place for drinks and shareable bites. American Craft Tavern delivers exactly the kind of casual gathering place every great resort should have. Grab a patio table, order several plates for the table, sample some Tennessee whiskey or a local craft beer, and simply enjoy the evening. Life is too short not to travel well and eat well. Sometimes your next favorite meal is waiting just a few steps from your hotel room.
