We had only dined here once before, several years ago, so I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that last night's experience may have just been an off day. We placed a to-go order, and I was truly surprised by the condition of the cheese curds when we got home. I don't know how any worker or chef would be okay sending this out to a customer. It was immediately clear that something went wrong during the frying. The curds were one large clump with bits of burnt breading throughout, and the bottom of the container was filled with oil that had soaked completely through into the carry-out bag. As the attached photos show, they were over-fried or not properly breaded to the point that nearly every curd was hollow. Only two contained even a small amount of cheese. The cheese must have leaked out into the fryer, leaving only empty shells. When I attempted to taste a few, I bit into the breading and oil burst out,, dripping down my chin. These were almost completely inedible. I honestly can't recall the last time I've had to spit out food, but that's exactly what I did when i bit into an oil filled one. As mentioned, this maybe was off night, but it was disappointing to come home hungry and discover that our appetizer couldn't be eaten. read more

Food is very good, cooked fresh, which gives you time to relax and unwind. Nice to see this place full, it's a mom and pop kinda place that is doing well. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to walk us through their beer list and make recommendations. Their lineup of brews had a nice balance--classic styles done really well alongside some creative options that made it hard to pick a favorite. The food was just as memorable as the beer. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and you can tell they put just as much care into the kitchen as they do the brewery. Our gang of four enjoyed dinner at TennFold Brewing Restaurant. Friendly and prompt service. Parking was a little tight on this Sunday afternoon. Choose printed or QR code menus. Wide selection of brewskies and specialty drinks. We chose entrées of Blueberry Chicken Sandwich with shake shack fries, Cauliflower Wings, Meatball Sandwich also with fries, and Bone-in Pork Chop over Collard Greens topped with caramelized apples (or onions?). The standout dish was the Pork Chop. Moist. Tasty. Tender. Slightly sweet. The fries were also a hit. The Cauliflower Wings reminded me of Gobi Manchurian served in Indian restaurants. Open lunch and dinner daily, and closed Monday. Small Gripes That Detracted from the Good Food: TennFold is loud made worse by the brick walls and audio coming from the TVs, uncomfortable bench seating like you'd find in a bus terminal, and the tip suggestion was calculated including sales taxes. What a great brewery. We checked this location out after being picked up from the airport. The place is pretty large with lots of seating. You can see the brewing area through the large glass windows. There's a bar area with some seating there. Lots of beer options and food options too. Back by the restrooms you can see the open area kitchen. Our server came to us right away and was friendly and knowledgeable with recommending both food and beers. We got some sandwiches and tried a few beers. Very impressed overall. Worth checking out. read more

I wish I could give a ZERO!!! First time I've ever been in. Arrived with a group of people for lunch on a Wednesday. Went to the bar for a couple drinks. Asked the bartender which tequila she recommended in reposado, she said the don julio 1942. I'm not a tequila connoisseur so I took her recommendation and she sat down two shots (keep in mind, this is a Wednesday at lunch) and handed me a bill for $87. I said how much are these a shot? She said $35. I said omg I'm so sorry but I didn't realize it would be almost 100 dollars can I get something else? She immediately became a different person. She became very rude, made smart comments, walked away and helped SEVERAL other customers and left me standing there. Never said, ok I'll be back or let me get someone, she came back to bar once and said , " you know I can't pour these back in the bottle". I said what are you saying? I wasn't sure if she meant I had to pay or they'd get me something else?She ignored me and walked off again. Finally a manager came over , very nice and said would you like something else? I said sure. I apologies 3-4 x and she was super cool. I'm not a huge drinker , I wasn't expecting almost 100 bucks for two shots! But that bartender needs to learn how to act and be polite! I suggested she might tell the customer her recommendation was 35 a shot. ( I'm old enough to be her mom, I was not being rude. I was being sincere). Loved it. So different than the usual brewery/sports bar. Menu has the usual sandwiches, hamburgers, pizza- but more choices. I had a "mocktail " swamp water that was delicious, never seen anything like this offered and I can't wait to try and copy it at home. For lunch I had the bacon and pickle pizza. Food was very good. We had the Wabash Cannonball pizza and my wife had the Greek salad. She said the salad was good. As for the pizza it was an impressive pie. The crust had good chew with the right amount of char around the edge. The sauce is very good and the amount of toppings was good. From the picture I was expecting more onions and green peppers but the amount that came on it worked for me. As for drinks I had the watermelon mojito which was pretty tasty. Was tart and the mint actually worked which surprised me. My wife had the shady pick. It was very refreshing and the impressive thing is the peach purée ice shaft. This is the perfect place to stop on the way to the airport while waiting for a flight, or after picking someone up, it's only 5 minutes away. Great brewery feel and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. They also have a large outdoor beer garden. Their own brand of beer was good and everyone in our group absolutely loved their food. The broccoli gouda soup was rich and creamy, but the showstopper was the k-town crunchwhich sando. We came back again today after dropping off some family members at the airport. My prior review was not a fluke! The perfect place to grab a bite. They were sadly out of the Space Cowboy brew but the pizza was outstanding (we had the combo and the crust is perfectly thin and crispy like a wood fired Napolitano pizza in Italy). I came to TennFold and got neither pizza nor beer -- and I'm still a fan. I think that says a lot when it comes to the overall satisfaction and depth of the menu offerings. TennFold is another Donelson hit. But you don't need me to tell you that. In the time since I visited the brewpub and now, it has almost 330 reviews! The word is out. I don't know whether these are Nashvillians exploring their metro, visitors out for some good eats near airport hotels or Wilson County residents wanting to sneak into Davidson County for some good food without braving the congestion of Nashville. In any event, plan on the parking lot -- and dining room -- being full on your visit. I pulled in on a busy Friday in mid-summer. Navigating Lebanon Pike in off hours can be challenging. Doing so on a Friday night and into a small lot is... not fun. Luckily, a car was pulling out as I was pulling in. Knowing I wasn't staying for a beer and not having the stomach space to take on a pizza, I'd ordered the Cheesy Brisket Sandwich (new iteration being the Brisket Cheesesteak) and an order of fries. To go. The fella handling my order seemed overwhelmed as the dining room was loud and very full. Nonetheless, he was courteous and professional. Within two shakes of a lamb's tail, I had my food and I was on my way. I came home to watch a Marvel movie in peace and quiet. I poured a cold Belgian Blonde and bit into the sandwich. I'm not Texan so I wasn't wean on brisket but I was pleased with the flavor, texture and chew of the meat. Paired with the melty cheese and soft bread (with just a bit of bite), this was a very satisfying sandwich. We were in town on our way south and staying nearby. We checked Yelp for some ideas and saw the strong reviews and an interesting menu so we stopped in for an early dinner. Our server was friendly and helpful. Actually all of the staff that greeted us upon our arrival was friendly. The bonus of being early was that during happy hour their own brews are 1/2 off - we tried two of their lighter pours (a pils and a lager) and they were both tasty. The menu had many good choices including a number of pizzas. I ordered the meatball sandwich which was very good on a baguette-like roll (though softer). The fries were skinny, crispy with a paprika(?) spice on them - very nice. My wife ordered the smoked cauliflower and avocado bowl and she absolutely loved it!
