Reading the reviews here make me laugh so hard!!! I've been coming here for over a decade and a half and couldnt agree more that the owners and his daughter are freakin cold as ice. but the downright truth is that they are cheap and are willing to offer you a discount on items if you are serious. no fluff. When i came as a kid, i used to be intimated by the manager and ESPECIALLY his hot daughter haha. i would come in and prep myself to have my self esteem lowered. they would make it seem like i know nothing about tennis turn down my suggestions on things like stringing tension like no ones business. Fast forward 1.5 decades i come back and take all their comments in stride. One day i had the daughter redo my grip because i had some sort of grip widener on there and she was like you're dumb to be playing with this. i slyly said that i wanted my grip to represent all areas of my body ;) she laughed and said yeah... right then shared a wistful laugh with me HAHAHA then she regriped and redid my groument for me for free with the string job. SCORE! Prices on strings are a tad better than tennis spectrum and the turn around time is amazing. I got my luxilon for $30 and they can do my racquet in 30 mins. They have a huge variety of strings and racquets as well. It'll be cheaper than tennis warehouse or sports chalet any day. just dont waste anyones time if ur not serious. read more

Not sure if I'm a "fan" of this place or it's lack of options. Prob the latter. But I'm okay with that. Been going here for about 8 years now to get my racket's restrung. The main reason why I come back is because of convenience, I'm too lazy to look up another store, AND the prices are better than elsewhere. I always get my racket restrung for $15 flat and I remember paying that price 8 years ago, of course it's just regular strings, nothing special. Other reviewers are correct, customer service is lacking but again this is a viet place! I like it that I can go in, no niceties necessary, and tell them what I need and be out in a minute flat. They always have me pay when I pick up the racket. No matter how bad the service, I'm sure there's a Reason why this place has been here for so long, I'm sure this place has been around for about 10-12 years now. So for now, Tennis shop, you will always be in my heart. P.S. Remember non asian ppl, don't expect to be treated like a human being. read more

My daughter's tennis coach referred me to this place last year and I been meaning to give them my shout out. I get my daughter and I's tennis racquets stringed here every few months or so. Jon is always nice and helpful and answers any questions we might have. What I like most about this place is that they are CHEAP, FAST and have a pretty decent collection of strings to choose from. You pick out any string you want and Jon will have them done usually in a couple of hours. He'll even have your racquet done in an hour while you run errands if you ask him to and at no extra charge. As long as he is not backed up of course. The strings are displayed all along the wall in their original packaging. They write the prices on each of them with a sharpie. Most range between $18-$30. All the prices across the board are cheaper than the local sporting good stores. What you see, is what you pay when you leave. No stringing fee, no tax, no BS. Only downside is that they don't always open on time. Not too uncommon for them to open a few minutes late. You know how it is with privately owned, small mom and pop shops. Plus side is, if you snap a string and you have a match or tournament later on that day or the next morning, they can have it done for you in an hour. read more

Growing up, I used to go here for all my tennis needs as I didn't know of any other options. As stated in the other reviews, customer service isn't this place's forte. The owners are cold and you almost come across as an inconvenience if you don't drop off your racquet, choose your string, and leave within 5 minutes. Yes the prices can be competitive and selection is solid as they are a Babolat dealer, but needless to say customer service is lacking. Definitely try The Tennis Racquet on Edinger and Magnolia for a much friendlier experience. They are also a Babolat and Wilson dealer so the selection is much of the same. read more

Went in to get my Racquet restrung. I had no idea which strings to purchase and the owner just simply asked if I hit hard or moderate. I said it's been awhile; so let's go for moderate when it came to how tight I wanted the racquet to be done. It was done within a day and for $20. No complaints. read more

Great place for your tennis needs. The customer service was VERY friendly. They offer a wide range of tennis rackets, shoes, strings, grips and tennis balls. They have EVERYTHING for your tennis needs. The stringing is done in 30 minutes, VERY quick. Fast service! You can actually wait for your racket even if you come in without appointment. They also have 2 stringing machines and I think one of the machine is an electric babolat stringer. Yeah I agree to one of the reviews that they are cold but I don't care as long as the service is fast and efficient. read more
