It would be very easy to blow through a one thousand dollar gift card in a single visit. Thankfully, the local 20 percent off coupons help make purchases feel more reasonable. The staff appears to be made up mostly of high school and college age employees, and that shows in the customer service. It is not bad, just very young and a bit unpolished. Most employees seem concentrated in the shoe section or working the front registers, with limited presence elsewhere on the floor. The running shoe selection for adults is a definite plus, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it is not a terrible experience, but it is not a great one either. I will continue to shop here because it is one of the few places that reliably carries sporting goods, but it is more of a necessity than a destination.

I never used the product, the sizing was just way off, even though I had followed the product's website video guide. When I visited, it just so happened to be Member Days so I took a look around. This location certainly has "everything." It feels rare to have a fully stocked store these days. Since I did not need anything at the moment, I plan on stopping by again in a few months when I have an idea of what to use my gift cards on. There were employees throughout the store and they often greeted me and asked if I needed help. Great customer service! There was also restrooms for customers to use. EVA and manager AARON falsely accused me of returning the wrong item, even though the item matched my REI account, app, original tags, barcode, and product details. They made this accusation in front of my family and other customers, which was very embarrassing. I asked them a simple question: "What exactly is different?" They refused to answer. That tells me they had no real answer. They accused me first, then avoided explaining their own accusation. While EVA was still processing the return, AARON told me to leave and threatened security for no valid reason. After all that, they still processed the return. So the item was correct all along. This was a false accusation, poor judgment, zero accountability, and terrible management. REI leadership should review this incident seriously.

Go in knowing that you're going to wait, but I actually didn't mind this because I appreciated the one-on-one experience and all the info I received about my feet. Judy performed my foot analysis. She had me first walk on the treadmill and after I stepped on their fit finder machine. This machine provided information on foot length, width, arch height, alignment, heel width, and more. Judy reviewed all this info with me, and they also email it to you for free. I decided to purchase their insoles to see if they make a difference. So far so good, so I'm curious how they'll help in the long run. I have been wearing Hokas with a lot of cushion and I learned this was the wrong shoe for me because it could actually make my foot more unstable. Judy recommended a mid-range cushion for me. She was so patient with me. I must have tried on 6 different shoes and she paid attention to how they fit me and recommended sizing for me. I really appreciated her attention to detail and the time she spent with me. I signed up for the VIP family and ended up with some savings in the end. There might be a 5 - 15 wait when you come in to be connected one-on-one if you are trying on shoes, but once you do, the confidence you have walking out the door KNOWING you got the right pair for you is priceless and well worth the wait. Not to mention, all the running gear is less than half of what you would pay at Lulu or Vuori and just as good, if not better. They also sell Gels, vests, lights, glasses, insoles and other gear for running and and membership pricing makes it easy since its one of the few shops (Unlike On, for example) that allows you to return after a break in period.
