Well we had a get together and wanted to get Teos but didn't feel like going to get the order. We got delivery and ordered our family's usual order which consists of about 8 dogs with everything, 4 dogs with ketchup and mustard, 4 dogs with mustard and onions. They came properly marked and wrapped and still got and fresh. Delivery was quick and efficient. Delicious family favorites for game night. read more

We don't get to Pittsfield often but no visit is complete without a stop at Teos. The little hot dogs are delectable. Order with everything and they come on a steamed bun with meat sauce, mustard and shaved onions. Heaven on a bun. We also shared sides of fries and tots (ask for extra crispy). The tab for 6 of us with drinks and tax was $75. Easily worth much more. A bit of a dive, you may recognize the same guys sitting at the bar on your next visit. Service is extra friendly. Cute spot that we ended up at because East Side Cafe around the corner didn't serve pizza until 4pm. We got lucky because this gem from 1969 was just awesome. PBR in heavy goblets. Very kind and friendly service. Old school ambiance. The hot dogs just aren't good though. It's a flavorless cold pink Vienna sausage. No pop, no seasoning. Sorry, guys we ended up throwing most of them away. Longer cooking, more pop, more flavor needed. Real skimpy on the toppings, too. Ahhh. This is dogging at its hometown best. Serving thousands of mini dogs a day, in your venerable saloon. This is one of those spots that defy diet guidelines and is a must stop if you are in the area. The locals, many of whom popped in while we ate, clearly love the place. Not only did we eat and enjoy a beer, but grabbed a t-shirt ($15) while we were at it. The finger length dogs-on correspondingly finger length melt-in-your mouth buns come with a choice of any or all of the usual accompaniments. Tater tots are another good choice. They offer burgers and other goodies if dogs are not your thing. Maybe we branch out if we visit again, but then again...dogs rule. The staff were amazingly fun and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Okay, saw this place in the side of the road. Very industrial area. Definition of a dive bar. They need to film a Mafia movie in here. Keno smallest bathroom in the world locals drinking beer. Stopped in just as they opened and the ladies there were extremely polite. The menu is great and not full of items. The price is great as well. I could bring my family here and still have money left. I consider myself a hotdog expert. They have a unique way to serve you the dog. The pop and taste of the dog was great. Have loved Teo's for at least 40 years. Today was disappointing for the first time. Ordered from the window. If I was health department I could have closed them down. I called out a employee who I had seen eating then bare handed opened a box of dogs to separate. i called her on it. She replied I just washed my hands, NOT! I was watching her the whole time. I only venture to this hole in the wall every couple of years to get my hot dog fix. I was introduced to this spot by a local some 25 years ago while in undergrad. The buns are steamed and chewy and the dogs have snap. I get mine with onions and chili. So yum! The people leaving bad reviews clearly don't get it. My husband and I just had an atrocious visit to this area but TEOs was truly a beacon of light in the darkness. We had ourselves a hot dog feast back in our terrible hotel room for twenty bucks. Truly couldn't wait to check out of the place to get home- but worth it for this local gem. This place is definitely where the locals go for one of a kind mini hot dogs with friendly staff and causal setting. The taco like meat sauce over mini hot dog on soft buns with everything is the way to go. We recommend 2-hot dogs minimum plus french fries with meat sauce and cheese to make a meal for two. We sat at the table and watched while locals came in, got on line, ordered, waited and picked up orders at the bar counter entrance area. This restaurant has been here for years. It is extremely casual. Awesome mini hotdogs. They serve their beer in frosted mugs. That is a big plus for me. They don't appear to have menus so if you are not a regular you may have to see if they do actually have a hard copy or maybe the waitress just tells you what they have. I just go there for the dogs and fries. read more

I'm from out of town so maybe I don't get it, but if you're also not local to the area then maybe this is for you? So multiple issues. First, the sausage that's being used just comes off as extremely unsavory in both visual aspect and the moment your teeth snap the casing. It looked sorta "wet" in its own right despite already being covered in the chili concoction. Didn't care for the flavor. The fact that it was tiny was sorta annoying because regular sized dogs have never been thought to be a problem. Like *why* The chili concoction is what got me though. It wasn't good. I'm used to the chili that you would get at a Coney Island but not the one in NYC, but the ones from around Detroit. This was like, sad sloppy joe sauce. What made it over the top though, was the persistent smell. Even after I ate 1/2 of this baby dog, I was further just not ok with the smell from the rest of the dogs that were just.....everywhere. Again, maybe I don't get it. But also, I'm not from the beautiful Berkies and that's not on Teo's. read more

I'm pretty sure that Teo's is a massive practical joke that the locals are pulling on visitors to the area. One reviewer wrote "Best Restaurant East of Japan"... I read that and all I can say is *stands and slow claps* "well-played, sir... well-played". The hot dogs may be small - but that's because locals believe no mortal hot dog could contain all the flavor of these mighty doggies. The French fries may be frozen and come from CostCo, but if you're looking for freshly cut potatoes, all I can say is "Go back to your Bougie McDonalds you fancy pants whiner!". These are real fries (I'm pretty sure) - exactly the way that Costco intended for the mass consumer market. When I read that I could get a T-shirt from Teo's, I nearly wept at the lost opportunity to always carry a part of Teo's with me. The good reviews that Teo's gets from locals is hilarious. LOL! Good for eating in the restau surrounded by sports (even if you're not surrounded by sports, you're surrounded by sports) and babies and "mature" folk (Teo's gets you talking like this), OR in a car when it's raining and you're hungry, never mind that woman who's staring at you because you're parked outside her house, OR at Wacona Falls watching the sky or rocks or the nakies, if your hunger spreads to your crotch, like it does for your companion. Make sure you get one or two extra hotdogs, 'cos if you can't finish them, someone else will. That said, I usually think of my heart and place small orders. My record is 6 + 1 (dining in) and I am 5 ft 3.5 and 120 lb. This means nothing, of course, except that the mere thought of TEO'S makes you list irrelevant data. A couple times here and I still don't remember what "everything" means in terms of toppings. Chili? Onions? Maaaybe pickles? Ketchup? Mustard? Those little hotdogs. I miss them. I love stopping in Teo's when I am in Pittsfield every few years. My parents brought me here way back in the 80s. The place is exactly the same as it was back in the day. The hot dogs are small and you can eat a whole mess of em. I always get them with everything (mustard, sauce, and onions). They are steamed and have this amazing snap when you first bite into them. I recently put down six with a side of tots. The beers are ridiclously cheap. There is no way I'd find a $2 draft beer back in Boston. Please do not change, Teo's. I will be back! read more
