My family went Thursday night and it was live band night but took our food an hour and a half to come to us, and when it did my butternut squash ravioli was overcooked, my girlfriends sons food was cold, and my girlfriend didn't finish hers. I like the decor and the new look but I think they need a new cook. read more

Each time I've been here everything ordered was great. It's where I get my burger fix but also loved the butternut squash ravioli and the chicken sandwich was terrific. It's a great place to share several dishes. Service always friendly and has never been slow even when the place was jammed. I'm not an outside diner but they do have great outdoor seating and a fire pit. The atmosphere is cozy and very clean. A real asset to the area which is pretty rural. I always enjoy Liston's. Liston's is normally our go to spot. This is the first visit we have ever had an issue with. I ordered a cider spritz that did not taste like it had any cider in it, not a big deal just ordered another drink. Apps came out and the we're spot on like usual. 2 meals came out and our server told us she forgot to put 1 of the meals in and the kitchen was on it. About 10 minutes later the 3rd dinner came out so we all started to eat. That's when I realized my food was cold, not sit for 10 minutes cold but out of the fridge coming to room temp still chilled cold. No apologies or sympathy from our server which was a little upsetting since we bought a round for the staff. read more

I've been riding past Listons for 20 plus years. Recently it has gained new owners, and seems to be completely renovated! Let's start with the staff. Friendly! Quick! Everything you could want from servers. You kind of want to invite them to hang out with you while you eat. Atmosphere. Blissfully... Subdued. To look at the place, there are TV's and a jukebox, tons of people in a high ceilinged room... But you can actually hold a conversation, even on a busy Friday night! Then you notice the sound absorbing panels on the ceiling, and you get it. Every restaurant should follow Listons' lead. The food! Our first trip, we had a chicken sandwich and a burger. For sides we went with tater tots and french fries. The burger was fantastic. Properly cooked, fresh beef, perfect. Our second trip we did the burger again, and I tried the chicken skewers dinner. So much better than expected. Whatever marinade they're using, the chicken was delicious. Served with fresh green beans and the best freaking mashed potatoes ever. Pretty sure my cardiologist would have something to say about the amount of butter that was in them! Some whacky bits: there seems to be one TV that runs nothing but Baywatch. The other TVs have nature documentaries, old westerns, and all kinds of random. And we discovered that Baywatch had a Hawaii based spin off. Who knew? Prices are very good. Honestly, no complaints whatsoever. Ok, not a complaint, but a suggestion: put tater tots on the permanent menu!! Liston's gets a solid 5 Stars! read more

Great place, thankfully warm enough to eat outside. It's small and timing is everything. I suspect waiting for an inside table may be long in the weekend. Fish tacos were delish. Let me tell you about Listons...we are there easily 2-3 times a month. Never once have i complained. This is a local spot that is ALWAYS packed. We stopped tonight, got there the tables were less than 1/4 full. We wanted to sit at the bar, which is our normal thing. The hostess, who was our server said there was only one seat but we could sit at the high top and she would move us over as soon as the other seat or two seats came open. Well it took less than 3 minutes and someone walked in and your couple sat at two seats. We spoke to our server, who spoke to the bartender/Owner and we were told tough shit basically. I went up and also spoke with her and our server lied to her. The owner said i am sorry but you are out of luck and when I went back to our seat at the table, I asked our server about her lie and she could not form a sentence. So long story short ..IF THE OWNER OR OUR SERVER EVEN DO MUCH AS APOLOGIZED, OFFERED US A DRINK AND TRIED TO FIX IT. Well I would not be posting this. But when you are the local spot and think customer service isn't something you need to worry about.. well here you go. It will be a long cold day in hell before we go back but they won't care because they don't need the locals who come in good or bad. read more

The new restaurant is exceptional! This is the second time we have been here since they reopened. Both times this was fabulous. Last time - the fries were perfect. Tonight I had the mac and cheese with Pulled pork. What I can say - perfectly spiced. It too salty - relying on the taste of what has to be quality ingredients. My husband had a light, healthy chicken option- equally good. Service is a balance of attentiveness without being "too much". They are busy. I went to Liston's tonight for the second time first time I was really slow. I was able to get a seat at the bar with no problem this evening. I go there the place is busy. There's a couple of tables for the waitress wouldn't even acknowledge I was standing in the doorway with my wife. stopped here today for the first time, wife and i ordered an order of nachos, a reuben and a fried chicken sandwich.. the nachos were the highlight of the meal and thise were just ok,they claim they are loaded with cheese on the menu. didn't find this to be the case.. fried chicken sandwich was very bland, just a frozen breaded chicken something, reuben was dry and corned beef was sliced thick and was tough. fries were greasy and over cooked.. onion rings had no taste.. waitress was awesome and the interior was very nice...not sure we'd go back but glad we tried it, 2 diet cokes, reuben, chicken sandwich and nachos? 53.54$ not cheap.. read more

Very dissatisfied! a group of five elderly folks visited July 13 and they asked for individual bills, and the waitress refused. Makes no sense whatsoever. very poor service. Wow! What a great place! We found this hidden gem where my daughter just moved to, Worthington, MA. Food is extremely good. Outside is deceiving, looks small but is bigger. Good atmosphere, staff are friendly. Locals are welcoming. The bartender is the granddaughter of owner. History and heightest bar in MA! They'll be seeing us again. read more

Some one posted that it's "The best Bar & Restaurant in Worthington" It is also the only Bar & Restaurant in Worthington. That being said, my group was ridding threw the Hidden Mountains on a Sunday and this was the only place we had come across in hours that was opened so we stopped. As much as this place screams, "Our daily Special is your choice of Opossum or Raccoon" there was quite of few other bikes already parked out front and inside was larger than it looks outside. It's everything you'd expect from a in the middle of nowhere dive bar, but the food was excellent, reasonably priced and the staff was very nice. Very biker friendly... If your cruising north west ma, I would add this stop to your list. read more

This is a hidden jewel in the hill towns of Massachusetts. It is a small town called Worthington. It has fantastic variety of spirits, beers and wine beverages. They serve fantastic food cooked to order. When I went there last my favorite sandwich is a grilled cheese and tuna. It is cooked perfect the tuna is not hot or even warm is still going to chill on it but the cheese is perfectly melted and the sandwich bread is grilled just right. Just about everything on the menu is great it's all cooked to order it's fresh everyday you can't ask for a better variety of food and sandwiches. Definitely worth the stop if you're on the way through the hill towns and want something really fast and quick and filling. The owners as far as I know are still working the bar and kitchen and it really makes a happy home town feeling place. They make everyone feel welcome just like family. Even when you haven't been there in a long time and walk in the door they still remember your name and remember what you like to drink. That to me a person who travels a lot for work makes me feel like family. I am so thankful for that. read more

I got rotten lettuce on my burger. I asked if I could have another, better, piece of lettuce. The owner then said to me "the lettuce is shit lately"....and I thought to myself "well thanks for putting it on my sandwich". The waitress then came over with two nice pieces of lettuce (guess the owner lied to me). I put it on my burger, ate, paid, and never went back. I had been a customer for years, roughly twice or more a week and left them at least 20% tips. That is not how you treat a good customer. Also, the place is nasty, though I overlooked it because there isn't much for lunch up there. They should thank people for even going in that dump. Shame on them. read more
