This is a true hidden gem! We arrived during the winter break and our first night here was perfect. We didn't had a reservation, but we were able to find two seats in the bar area. Our bartender was super nice and fast. He came and brought the menus really quick. Our drinks were really good and the food came out really fast. I believe the first night we had the wings and the homemade chips, as well as the ramen !(the wings and chips were perfect). The Asian inspired dish was a little bit spicy but very tasty. The second night we tried the mushrooms crostini and again was perfect. Decent burger, I would have loved the bun a little bit more toasted, and the cheese a little bit more melted but other than that was good. I had a fish dish that night. ( not too crazy about the Brussels sprouts but other than that was good) . Yes, we came back for a third time for New Year's Eve. I really wanted to try the miso Caesar salad and again it was 10 out of 10. Probably the best Caesar salad I had so far! My husband had the steak that night and I had the pasta. Both good. Ma favorite? The salad and dessert. ( apple crisp with ice cream, a must ). The ambiance was really good, we loved the cozy vibes at the bar, the decor, dim lights and especially the 80' music. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Closest restuiarnt to Jiminy Peak and Vacation Village resort. Kid friendly- many on outside porch. Very limited choices on the menu. Seems like a better choice for vegetarian dishes. Appetizers were ok-could use a soup choice. Main course was very good with large portions. Very heavy on garlic potatoes and entree sauce. I'm giving a 4 star rating because it's so close to where we are staying! The vibe is lively and the decor is quaint. Every time we've been it's full. The service is great, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is ok. I did enjoy the hangar steak (although it was bit dry since I don't put barbeque sauce on my steak) and the salmon was good, but the side couscous with the salmon last night was cold. Tonight we ordered the pork chop (delicious), but the sweet mashed potatoes had the skin on them (?) so I couldn't eat all of them. The Mediterranean baby kale salad was very good, but the chicken was dry. The paper planes cocktails are excellent! Overall a very good experience and definitely recommend. read more

Bluebird was conveniently located near the resort where we were staying. The staff were friendly and sat us quickly, even though we did not have a reservation. The decor was warm and lovely. The food was presented well. We enjoyed the soup and appetizer, but the salmon didn't taste fresh and the pork chops lacked flavor. This dampened our experience. read more

Our family is staying at the Country Inn up the street, and we walked down on a whim for dinner. They were busy, but did everything they could to get us a table. We sat outside on the beautiful patio, and had an equally beautiful dinner. We would really recommend the fish entree and the berry cobbler. The Paloma was also our favorite cocktail. Our family of 5 finally got the chance to check this newish place out. Situated and the bottom of Jiminy Peak Mountain. Beautiful inside with light wood floors. Comfortable chairs and good amount of space. The menu is very limited but our family had no issues making selections. The kids all ordered tenders and fries. We were very shocked by their choices We ordered the buffalo wings to start and they were really good. Flavorful, meaty, crispy! The food came out ridiculously quick. That is probably in part to their limited menu. I ordered the ramen and my husband ordered the smash burger. Both were outstanding. I do wish the ramen had more noodle ratio. The wait staff and hostess were all really nice and helped me make my choice between meals. They also have desserts. The crisp was my favorite! The cost was comparable considered the location is at the base of the mountain. So it was a little costly especially the non-alcoholic drinks for the kids but it is to be expected for where we were. All in all, any play that satisfies the kids and adults, is a win in our book. Out in the middle of nowhere is a surprisingly tasty restaurant that is hindered by an extremely limited menu. You may not find something you want. Let's start with the good. For a restaurant at the bottom of a ski mountain, the chef-inspired choices are craftily prepared with unique flavors. The wood paneled room is intimate and warm. And the waitstaff, while small, is fast and efficient. The problem is the selection is limited which forces many to compromise. I ordered the fish, but could not eat the yogurt sauce. As a result, it tasted plain. My wife ordered the chicken, which is only dark meat. If you are lucky, the food will be great. But, I am not sure that I will come back. read more

The staff handled my food allergies very very well - some of the most contentious and caring service I've ever experienced at any restaurant. They made me a delicious salmon dish. Place was very cool and laid back inside, got smash burgers and wings. Burgers were seriously good, seasoned and made perfectly. We had a lovely time here the other night with friends. We enjoyed our meal in the picnic grove out back. The kids had a great time playing. We had it to ourselves because most people are choosing air conditioned service inside in this muggy weather. Our server was very friendly and attentive despite the fact that we were her only outdoor table and it as 85 degrees. The food was good. There were not a lot of choices on the menu and most of our group got the Oaky burger. It was tasty but I wasn't a fan of the smash style burger. Nothing else on the menu seemed very appealing to me so, I'm not sure I would return. We happened upon this place while staying a week in The Berkshires in October 2023. It was definitely to our liking- The service is outstanding- the wait staff, the hosts and bartenders were all nice & helpful. The ambiance is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Depending on time of year or time of day, there is a charming outdoor seating area along the creek- The food is delicious and perfectly portioned. We liked it so much we had to go back a second time. The owner was there in the second evening and it was really fun getting to chat with her- we watched her visit each table greeting all the guests and talking about their experiences- 10/10 recommend. read more

Food was amazing when it was the Powder Hounds and this new place does not compare. i think they would be better as a bar/pub type menu than higher end as the food orwas only mediocre and either under or over seasoned. We've all made kale salad before but not until tonight did I realize I had never truly tasted kale salad as god intended it. Zaatar. BAM. Lemon, Olive oil, Pecorino. BAM BAM BAM. The warm wooden paneled walls beneath a freshly laid classic yet modern wallpaper (a lost art) could hardly contain the quiet joy I felt inside my heart when I tasted the first morsel. It was a bite of lemony feta cheese accompanied by the perfect cracker. Thank goodness I had finally arrived. Let's get back to the morning - 4 hours driving to vermont to see the eclipse. Astounding. 3 more hours on the road, by 7:30 we were famished. Luckily Bluebird appeared. Out of nowhere. The rest of the meal was delightful, wouldn't change a thing. I am a local and have been here twice. Once when it first opened during the summer - such a cool outdoor seating scene and then I went one week ago with my husband. I think they do a good job of catering to the skiers that come in to Jiminy Peak right next-door, but are also mindful of the locals. Collectively everyone locally was excited to see the old Powder Hounds location finally getting reopened following years of being closed. Unfortunately, Bluebird & Co is a serious downgrade from its predecessor. No notable changes to decor other than the unsightly wallpaper added to the bar area. The menu doesn't make much sense - it's almost self-sabotage not to have a single soup on the menu 3 weeks into October. Why are there 6 different salads on a menu that only has a dozen items? Why is the kale salad so salty? The bartender is limping - is he okay? Why does the chicken smell like fish? I won't be back to ask, so perhaps I'll never know. read more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal outside along the river. Great vibe with the cornhole, horseshoes and disc golf. Apps were fresh and tasty. Smash burger was spot on and the chicken cutlet was moist and crispy. Killer berry cobbler -keeping the fruits somewhat tart complimented the great ice cream.
