Probably 3.5 stars. Our waitress was mio. 20 minutes to get drinks. Started with Dip trio and brisket quesadillas. Both were very good and the chips were very good. Tacos are expensive and overpriced but good. The Barbados was excellent and the Chorizo and potato was very good, the sweet potato added a nice sweetness.

Margarita. The salt on the rim was oh so special!

Stopped in for a bite with gal co-workers. Our service was great and food and drink superb. I ordered a fish taco and margarita. The margarita came with such devine salt on the rim.dont know what flavor, but it was awesome. The taco was really scrumptious.

Chips. All that was left by the time I remembered to write this review and take the picture. That's how good the food is.

Food was very good. Typical choices but taste different. I like that they have three hot sauces to try. Nice staff. I enjoy that it is a place to walk to easily off the Mon Incline. Would particular recommend their lunch boxes that are two tacos and chips.

Gordo's is a great spot for a quick, casual bite and good drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We opted to split a few items on the appetizer menu and ordered some mocktails, and we were very happy with everything. The seasonal passionfruit marg is great in mocktail form, so I would imagine that the alcoholic version is just as good, if not better. The guac was fresh and full of flavor, and the patatas bravas were crispy with a hint of spice. But the star of the show were the brisket quesadillas. The blend of meat, cheeses, and veggies was phenomenal, and I didn't find it to be spicy (so if this is something that holds you back, fear not!). I couldn't finish them, and I truly can't wait to reheat them later. Our waitress was very sweet and very attentive, and we didn't wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon. If you're on Mount Washington, consider stopping by Gordo's!

Just visited this spot for the first time this weekend! My friend made a reservation for 5:30 pm on Friday night. When we got there, they gave us the choice of sitting inside or outside, so we chose outside. The patio is tucked away in the back and is quiet and cozy! The food came out so fast, it arrived before our drinks! We split the dip trio with the bean dip, queso & guac; the basket of chips is so huge we didn't finish it, and we munched on it the whole time! We also split the brisket quesadilla. I got the hibiscus margarita. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was very attentive and on top of everything, she was very nice. I will definitely be back!

You can never go wrong with a little street corn and tequila. Popped into Gordo's after riding the incline and exploring Mount Washington for a bit. Bonus was getting a chance to watch some football at the bar. Time well spent chatting it up with the bar staff and just enjoying the Pittsburgh atmosphere. Drinks were well made. Food was good albeit a little pricey.

Nice casual spot for tacos and drinks! I liked the outdoor patio space. It's great for groups since the menu is large. I liked their guac a lot, it comes with a lot of chips and the guac is so handmade and fresh. I liked my chicken taco since I could make modifications for my restrictive diet. They had a huge tequila selection too and I love that they do happy hour bites. Definitely need to come back and try more things when we don't have a dinner booked right after. It was a great spot for a quick snack before dinner. Service was fast and staff is really nice!

Gordo's is a quaint little spot to grab tacos and some drinks. The carne asada on corn was amazing. I didn't even add any sauce or crema. I got the elote also which was spicy but that was filling. We also got the chips and dip trio. I highly recommend it for a chill night. The service was friendly and attentive even as her section began filling up. Definitely a must stop in Mt. Washington

We love the food, margaritas, and the staff! A great neighborhood bar! The upstairs is beautiful with a fireplace, lounging couch, and chairs. You can rent out the upstairs for parties. Can't wait to go back!

Some of the best tacos in Pittsburgh! Definitely a bit pricey- but worth it. Really great quality tacos. I've tried at least 3-4 different tacos from here and their quesadilla. Can't beat the authentic flavors! The passion fruit margaritas are soo delicious and fruity- I wish they were permanently on the menu (they do a seasonal rotating marg) The employees here are always cranky and they all look very miserable especially on the weekends- but the food is just so good. So, I'm sorry, I will keep giving them business They also do a good happy hour and Taco Tuesday if you are trying to save a bit on their pricey tacos. They serve the tacos on halves of skateboard decks which I also absolutely love. So unique and cool!

First time here and I was really excited to try some unique tacos while also enjoying a classic margarita . I really liked everything, I just simply didn't love it . Food: I ordered a Mexican Caesar and a premium taco box with the steak and shrimp tacos ( queso/chips) as the side. My husband ordered the brisket quesadilla . I reaaaallly enjoyed the salad and a bite of the hubbys brisket. I didn't care too much for the sauces in my tacos nor the corn shell, so I ate the shrimp and steak right out of them, which was delicious may I add! Next time I'll get the flour tortilla. The queso dip had an odd texture to it, I was very underwhelmed if I can be honest. Beverage : I ordered the classic margarita and was not very impressed. It was neon yellow which usually means there's a ton of sours in it . Though it didn't taste sour by any means , it was quite sweet and little to no taste of tequila. Maybe it's a drink for someone else, but not my taste buds! I was happy to see they had high noon tequillas which is rare to find up by my way so that was a perfect ending to my meal! Service was decent for lunch. They weren't very busy , server was attentive enough. Parking was confusing as one side of the building is parking for another restaurant only. We found a spot on the street , though I'm sure it's harder to find during an evening. I wouldn't mind coming back, I'm just not in a rush to do so if you get my drift !

The staff they had at the convention were all super-cool people. They served great drinks. I haven't seen their drink menu, so I just said a few words about what I like, and they mixed up good stuff -- at reduced alcohol per my request. Perfect! Best of all, they had the acclaimed science fiction and fantasy author Mary Robinette Kowal as their special guest. (But she lives in North Carolina, so don't expect her as a regular in the Pittsburgh location.) Space Bar is obviously LGBT+ friendly, but it's an everyone bar. OK, maybe not everyone: it will be more fun if you're interested in science fiction and fantasy, and don't upset the vibe. I'll be sure to visit the in-person location next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

The cocktails were creative, playful, and impressively strong without sacrificing quality. I had the Seoular Flare, which had a noticeable kick but was still very drinkable. It came with BBQ chips, and when our bartender--the same guy from that morning--noticed how much I loved them, he brought me extra. Such a thoughtful touch. The rest of our drinks were equally inventive and well-crafted. I admittedly had some doubts about whether the creativity would translate into cocktails that actually tasted good, but they completely proved me wrong. A fun concept backed by genuinely great drinks and hospitality.

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.

We sat outside, which was first come first serve. It took awhile for anyone to approach us but I was in the restaurant industry for some time so I surely realize it happens for many reasons ! My friend ordered two speciality drinks which we were then told they didn't have the ingredients to make those cocktails...Okay - it happens no problem . We then ordered food from the brunch menu ( also out of the first item we asked for , there are only about 6-7 items on that limited menu). We asked if the regular menu would be available that day and we were told "no not on Sunday's." We proceeded to order and consume the hot honey chicken and waffles( good but not much of a hot honey taste and be aware it's BONE IN chicken), French toast with berries ( delicious ), and the shrimp and grits (made to perfection). I ordered the Texas medicine beverage , which was exquisite! (Tequila cocktail, Pictured). We also had the Petal and Pearl , gin and procecco cocktail ,not pictured but very good as well. After we ate, we moved to the bar to grab one last beverage. Again, it took quite some time for someone to approach us, which was odd because many of the girls were making eye contact but walking by us. Finally a gentleman with curly hair came over to take our orders - thank you. We noticed people at the bar were eating wings and food that was not listed on the brunch menu. When I asked how they ordered that, they said the regular menu starts at 3 on Sundays! We were extremely disappointed our original server did not tell us this nor was enlightened that the menu was released at a later time on Sundays. Concerning. It was nice to sit on a roof top in Pittsburgh on a sunny day. They have the atmosphere done with perfection. The food seemed delectable and the beverages done with beautiful presentations. I really hope to give this place another chance and revise my review !
