I really like this chain having been to the one on Westpark a couple of years ago. They are relatively cheap compared to their competitors in the area like Spanish Flower and Teotihuacan and their food taste better than Ruchis and Arandas. I came here on a Friday night around 9pm. I was one of only three tables eating in the restaurant. Waiter was nice and quick. Ordered the enchilada dinner with queso fresco. Their homemade red sauce that goes with the enchiladas is delicious. I don't know how to describe it beyond that. It's not spicy. The green and red sauce that comes with their chips is also delicious. The only thing rather than standard was their rice and beans but that's okay. The server, who was also handling bartending, charged me for double shots even though the drinks were clearly singles. When I asked about it, management stated that they consider 2 oz to be a double shot, which doesn't align with typical industry standards. If alcohol is being served, it's important that staff are properly trained and that drink measurements are clearly communicated to customers. read more

I've eaten here with my best friend a few times and love it. He says the food reminds him of home (meaning Mexico). Since he wasn't feeling well, I stopped by to do take out so he could have some caldo de res. I pulled the location up in Yelp and place the order by clicking order. Very easy process and the menu provided was easy to follow and pick out what I wanted. The food was hot and ready when I got there at my selected time, and the wait was brief to get it. The food (and the quantity) is always amazing for the price. He said his caldo was excellent and the taco salad I had was full of great tasting ingredients - so much I couldn't even eat the taco shell bowl it came in. This may be the worst meal I've ever had in Houston. I came at 7pm on a Saturday and ordered the Camila. Everything was cold. The rice, the enchilada, the quesadilla, and the flauta. The flauta had the smell of chicken that had expired. The services were good though and staff moved through quickly making sure cups were full and things could be removed. It was 10:15pm, we paid, left a tip (even with the bad service) and the server chased us outside to see if we can leave cash because the manager already closed the registers and did her numbers. Accidently stumbled upon this place because Taco Fusion was closed. This place was clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Happy hour 4-7p, was given the happy hour menu at 7:01p but they wouldn't give the happy hour priced drinks. Ordered the Laredo, barbacoa tacos, and fajita beef queso flameado. Best dish was the appetizer (queso flameado with fajita beef), the torta was not that crispy, the beef tacos were like a store bought taco kit but with less taco seasoning. My girlfriend asked when ordering if the chicken in the soup was shredded or on the bone. Our server told us it was shredded but it came out on the bone (hard to eat). Later, my fajitas came out five minutes after my girlfriend's soup. During this time, I watched our server make three or four trips back-and-forth from the dining room to the kitchen. Both of our entrées were good, not overwhelmingly flavorful but not disappointing either. Portion sizes, especially the fajitas, were big. The red and green sauces for the chips were very tasty.
