    Wine ($8) & Double Jameson Neat ($18)

Date: Friday, November 8th, 2024 Time: around 8:30pm Party of: 4 *Old Fashion ($12) *Wine ($8) *Jameson and Ginger ($9) *Double Jameson Neat ($18) x2 *A Beautiful ($24) *Glenlivet 12 ($14) My group was in Fremont and looking for a spot to grab a few drinks. A friend suggested Tequila Shots since he's from this area. We walked in and found a table by the door. We took turns going up to the bar to order rounds. I believe the recap above only encompasses two rounds of drinks. One of my gfs is a wine drinker, so she ordered a glass of wine. Their offerings for red wine were limited, but the pour itself was very generous. My default drink at bars is Jameson. It's typically not too pricey and a reliable irish whiskey. Tho the pour for a double was inconsistent. I did get my first round in a snifter which was a nice touch. The power went out while we were here which was kinda funny. Not sure if they have a generator or anything for blackouts, but everything came back up in a few mins. There was a table filled with lit up sports gear, so that helped light the space when the power was out. A nice bar to grab drinks. Funny enough, no one in our group ordered tequila. I believe they do happy hour 10am to 6pm every day. (I may be recalling the sign I read incorrectly.) If I find myself in this area during that time, I wouldn't mind coming back. REVIEW #3621

Great food and drinks! We love seeing the Silver Dragon and his staff to accommodate us with good drinks and food. We like ordering his signature cocktails - Strawberry shortcake and Scooby snack. I love ordering my midori sours and mai tais when I'm with friends. We ordered quesabirria tacos and the flautas. The tacos were super cheesy and came with the consume. It had so much flavor with the onions and cilantro in it and in the tacos. They each were about $4. The flautas were crispy with creama, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa served on the side with the cotija cheese to sprinkle.

My cousin told me about this place years ago and I finally got to check it out. I was in the area and was glad that their happy hour is everyday from 11am - 6pm. Its a nice spot with parking next to the building. The service was great! Bartender was very attentive. They do sell food, so I decided to try out a carne asada tacos and al pastor and it was surprisingly good! I will most definitely stop by again whenever I'm in the area and try other food items.

Nacho Fries, cheese all the way through not just on top. Fries are like double fried to hold up to a crunch too

What a great place, the staff is friendly too. It's not a huge place so it's kinda intimate in a way. I have never seen any sketchy people here not even once. Food is really good, I have had alot of their items. I rather spend my money here and I drive about 20 minutes just to get here. They have sports on all the time, 7 tvs with good sound as well. Very affordable and it's always clean as well.

I hadn't been here in years, and we decided to visit this past Sunday (night before National Tequila Day!). The place was far more modern, more colorful, and a lot brighter than I remember (that's cuz it was really dark and drab before). A casual atmosphere offering a pool table, dartboard, ample seating, a few TVs, and random decor to go along with the random music (rnb, rock, oldies, and more). The cocktails here (whiskey sour, lemon drop, kentucky mule, etc.) were fine, pretty good actually, but not good enough for me to want to return anytime soon. The wait for drinks was ridiculous, even with the place neither crowded nor busy (some drinks were 10-15 minutes wait, others 25-30 minutes wait... for one drink). There was only one bartender and he was seemingly doing his best, making everything fresh (chopping up the garnish for each drink, etc.), a friendly guy, just slow. At least he gave me a little extra when he made my last drink. I'm pretty sure this establishment has better days, maybe when more than one bartender shows up to work. By the way, they serve food till 11:45pm (bar closes at 2am).

The meat vs tortilla ratio was great, although lengua was a little skimp. Meats were tender and cooked well. The salsa portions are small and I would have enjoyed more instead of having to ration my portions but it was still good. 4 stars for my first try with Joe's Taco Shop. Plating was good even in the hectic environment and I really enjoys the grilled onions. Cucumbers- not so much [I thought that was kind of random]. I would absolutely dine here again.

Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

I'm not sure if I completely missed it, but I couldn't find the salsa bar that so many other reviews mention. I checked both the indoor seating area and around the food truck itself, so maybe I was just blind that day. The sauces themselves were honestly really good though, maybe even a little too good because I feel like I drowned out a lot of the actual meat flavor in both the taco and burrito. The orange sauce has a really nice spicy kick that I enjoyed a lot, and the green sauce tasted super fresh and flavorful. They also gave extra grilled onions on the side, which seriously elevated the whole meal for me. Service was pretty quick and everything came out hot and fresh, which I appreciated. I did have a little bit of difficulty communicating with the cashier since there was a slight language barrier and my Spanish is pretty limited, but we still managed to get everything sorted out without too much trouble! I recommend taking the food "for here" if you have some time to spare so you can experiment with their salsas, which are the stars of the show. Just be careful and try not to load the tacos up as much as I did, because the salsas tend toward spicy (my favorite). Don't miss out on their pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños. All tacos come with grilled onions and lime, which are excellent additions. I tried the Al pastor, asada, carnitas, and chicharrón. My favorite were the carnitas, which were well seasoned and tender. The Al pastor had a good balance of sweetness from the pineapple. The asada was solid. The chicharrón was kind of gelatinous and I didn't enjoy the texture but that's more a stylistic choice than me thinking they were bad.
