Service was slow, had to ask for every refill on chips and drinks even though it wasn't busy. Server seemed grumpy and had an attitude. Bathroom didn't have soap. Didn't even get the tickets or togo boxes. Had to just go to front and pay because server was behind the bar. read more

To be very fair, we went on opening day so this all may change very quickly... We arrived around 2:15 PM and ordered our drinks first. I ordered Coke Zero since it was listed on the menu and they said they only had Diet Coke. We ordered our food and did wait quite a long time for it but it was their opening day. I thought the portions were a little smaller than what I expected. My fajitas were good but they didn't come with any cheese which I thought was strange. Others in my group said the chicken in their flautas wasn't seasoned much. So..we entered, the ambiance is nice, light, clean and new with some big TV's. It was quiet when we first came in, but then they turned on the music, which was just a little too loud for that early in the day, it was a Saturday lunch. The type of horn music you expect at Mexican restaurant.The bathrooms were clean and the water tasted good. Service was quick, though there was a bit of a language barrier with both servers, we've spent time in the southwest so are used to this in authentic restaurants. Ordered the fajitas and a veggie bowl as well as the queso "dip". Everything was good and the portions satisfying. We had delayed coming here after seeing numerous lower star reviews, which after visiting I think were unfair. This is not a five star dining experience, but it's much nicer, cleaner experience than a 2 or 3 star restaurant. Queso was the thin buttery kind (which I like) and a big bowl (but also $10 which was a bit steep considering our whole meal was about $50). I dipped my chicken/steak fajita in it and it was pretty tasty. Chips were hearty and the salsa was thin and mild with good flavor. I'll come back to try the tacos and some other things.. we'll see I don't get to this area a ton, but I hope they can stay open and turn the music down just a lil for the lunch crowd. read more

Music way too loud. We went in with a party of four. Chips and salsa came out fast. Waited forever for our server and drinks. After 30 minutes placed an order. It was 3 Fajita meals and a cheese quesadilla. There was literally almost no meat on one of the fajita orders. Way too many vegetables. Thought it was vegetarian and waiter confirmed it wasn't. I was able to get two teaspoons of very finely chopped chicken. Did not want to wait another hour to fix it. Sides were good. Overall the excitement was not long lived. Very disappointed. read more

When we first went here, I had the chicken fajita which was very salty. My husband got their steak, which was very thin. Although they have really good margaritas, chips and salsa that's all I found that ai liked. We went back again, a second time, and I tried a taco salad, which was not the greatest as I have had better. Service was horrible the second time as we waited for an hour to get our food with a 3,5 and 6 year old ! People were walking out after waiting for so long! Not sure what the problem was. read more

The food tasted very good! That said, we ordered a burrito megaladon. It was on the menu as 20 inches, with all kinds of things in it. It came as 10-12 inches long, with only beef and chicken, no shrimp, no chorizo, no carnitas (pork). It was not what we ordered and I did ask if it was correct. I made no fuss, but we are not going back. It's a shame that a $22 burrito was not what it was supposed to be! The waiter mumbled, but could hear me fine, so I know something was not right. The place looked great! There were flashing lights surrounding the bar, I am glad I was not next to those. There was Spanish music playing, but it was very loud. There were about 7 TVs on. read more

The service was excellent and the place was very clean. The food options were amazing especially for someone who gets very options other than beef or chicken which I cannot eat. I had half a dozen seafood options and a full vegetarian menu to choose from. All of the food we ordered was fresh and very flavorful. I have never had such good Mexican food. First, to those reading the low review and complaints, I don't understand. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to quality of food. There are few restaurants that I feel offer quality ingredients in their food. Usually only like one or two dishes on the menu. At Tequilas Jalisco I have liked everything I've tried and I've tried quite a few things in the menu so they're already winning out over other restaurants in that department in my opinion. The owners and wait staff are AMAZING!!! Quality food is important to us but how we are treated there makes it our favorite restaurant to go to. Literally the kindest most genuine people. Of some are having issues 1) if you don't say a mistake was made then they can't fix it. It's on you at that point. If the food was great besides a simple mistake than I honestly don't know what there is to complain about. 2) some say the waiters heard but don't care. We have never ever experienced that. We found if there has ever been a mistake made they feel terrible and work quickly to fix it. We're all imperfect humans. Mistakes happen. Even more so on the fast paced,exhausting atmosphere of a restaurant. To ad to that some of the waiters though they do know some English they don't all speak it fluently. It might be that they didn't understand and why they have an expression on their face that is being taken as not caring. They do care! Some might say well they should speak English then. Most are working on learning but as a reminder you can't always get authentic food and perfect speaking English combined. Generally those who speak effect English are already often times losing the authentic recipes. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Patience and kindness goes a long way and this restaurant goes above and beyond trying to give the best service they can if you give them a chance. We go often (even though we typically aren't restaurant goers) but because we are treated like family and always given stellar service and food they have stepping out of our normal routine and eating out more than we used to.
