We were visiting Caro for a couple months and had our breakfast here each Saturday AM (and due to the huge size of the servings, our Sunday breakfast was the left-overs from Saturday!!!) The first time we visited this little diner on the main street of Caro, it was obvious were were NOT locals - everyone turned and looked at us! This is the place were all the locals go. There were families with young children, seniors, groups of men (old-timers), fire fighters, etc - The staff was very pleasant and we loved having Jo-Jo each time. After our first time there, she remembered what we ordered! She was pleasant and had a can-do attitude (as my husband had a special request re:his oatmeal order). Their prices were very reasonable - and as shared above, portion size very large. We typically ordered the veggie omelette - which came with a choice of potatoes and toast. They have pancakes, all sorts of meat choices (bacon, link and patty sausage, ham) - Regarding the question below - about "good for groups." Depends on the side of the group - I think 6 would probably be about as large a group as they can handle - maybe more if they have a trick up their sleeves that we didn't know about! First time here and it's a huge win. So many things to choose from, anything that you could imagine on a breakfast menu. I went with a true champion called the Southern Omelette off the 3 egg omelette menu. And let me tell you...you will NOT walk away from this place disappointed in any way after ordering an omelette. This place blows Bob Evans out of the water. The picture below doesn't do much Justice, it's an insane amount of food. I almost finished the entire thing, but had to call it about three quarters of the way through. That rarely happens at most places I've been to. No comparison whatsoever on quality. This place is a rare gem that is hard to find these days. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I look forward to coming back again when I get the chance! read more

Placed a carry out order. Food was ready when I arrived, staff were friendly. Food was great.

Great place for food, good prices and workers are friendly. It takes you back to the old type of diners fron the good old days.

We stopped here on our way back from great wolf lodge and all 5 of us were extremely happy with our meals. I got a chicken wrap and it was delicious, 2 of my kids said they had the best grilled cheese ever, my other kid loved her pancake that was loaded with m&ms. And my boyfriend who is the biggest biscuits and gravy critic says this is the place to come! The wait was short, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The regular customers are also very welcoming as well. We will be returning! read more

DON'T PASS THIS PLACE UP! YOU GOTTA GO!! THEY SERVE BREAKFAST ANYTIME!!!! THATS AWESOME IN MY BOOK!. This is a great little diner, its right downtown, on a corner. I asked an older man at walmart where there was a mom and pop restaurant in the area, and he told me about this place, he said its got the best food and coffee in town, and after going there for breakfast, I AGREE . Its a smaller, homey style restaurant, great food, great prices, large portions, and the coffee is amazing and they offer flavored creamer there too, (french vanilla), which is a biggie with me, the tables, booths and even the countertop seating was filling up just as fast as people were leaving, they seem to know everybody by name, from just sitting there, eating my breakfast, i could tell its a local favorite, i will definitely be back when i get up this way again. read more

I recently took me and my kids into this diner and all I can say it was a stroke of luck we did. The food was very good promptly served wait staff was excellent and very friendly. The menu was nice and had lots too offer.the coffee was good didn't taste burnt like some places do. The tables were clean the bathrooms were decent. They had everything you would most likely order breakfast was super awesome wish I had a picture of it because it all came out well served and well done. I would recommend trying this place out if your ever in caro. Definitely worth it! I will go back time and time again. read more
