Love their Friday Fish Special. The pollock is awesome! The open face roast beef sandwich is delicious and they serve great breakfast too.

Real nice staff. Food was better than most of their competition . Hardly a compliment but true. Worth going back.

We were visiting Caro for a couple months and had our breakfast here each Saturday AM (and due to…read morethe huge size of the servings, our Sunday breakfast was the left-overs from Saturday!!!) The first time we visited this little diner on the main street of Caro, it was obvious were were NOT locals - everyone turned and looked at us! This is the place were all the locals go. There were families with young children, seniors, groups of men (old-timers), fire fighters, etc - The staff was very pleasant and we loved having Jo-Jo each time. After our first time there, she remembered what we ordered! She was pleasant and had a can-do attitude (as my husband had a special request re:his oatmeal order). Their prices were very reasonable - and as shared above, portion size very large. We typically ordered the veggie omelette - which came with a choice of potatoes and toast. They have pancakes, all sorts of meat choices (bacon, link and patty sausage, ham) - Regarding the question below - about "good for groups." Depends on the side of the group - I think 6 would probably be about as large a group as they can handle - maybe more if they have a trick up their sleeves that we didn't know about! There are fun signs along the walls - bringing humor to our visit.

My friend lives…read moreclose to Mcpherson's and she's been inviting me to breakfast for a while, so I finally had a free morning to go. I've heard this place had the humongous cinnamon rolls and I knew I had to get one. The small could feed 3 people easily and the family size is HUGE. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon. The bread was fresh made and the gravy was delicious! Coffee is always piping hot and service cannot be beat! This place gets busy and I can see why. The food was great, service was outstanding and the homemade bread, cookies and cinnamon rolls are the stars here. If you're ever by Millington, stop by here. You'll be glad you did!

The American fries were the closest thing to what my mother used to make a long time ago. Service was excellent. She talked about the cinnamon rolls. I bought a small one to go which was anything but small (very delicious I might add). I was an hour away from home on my way through for the day's activities. My wife and I will go there soon. Thank you for a great start to my Saturday. It was my birthday too but I don't mention that to people.

Walking in feels like the universe hit pause somewhere in the best way. Same feel, same energy, same kind of place you can count on without thinking twice. It's like being teleported back to exactly where you're supposed to be. And the food? Exactly what it should be. No pretending to be healthy, no overthinking it. Just straight, unapologetic comfort. I go there for one thing every time: the hot beef sandwich. Massive. Smothered in gravy... and I mean gravy everywhere. The kind where you don't just eat it, you commit to it. Fries? Those are getting dipped in gravy too, no question. It's excessive in the best possible way. The portions are out of control. You're not finishing it. You're not even pretending to. You're leaving with enough leftovers for the next couple of days and you're not mad about it. It's the kind of meal that feels a little sinful, but worth every second. You'll deal with forgiveness later. Hometown, no-frills, real-deal comfort food that hasn't lost its identity over time. And honestly, that's rare.

We ordered a 3 piece fish and chips to share. The coleslaw was tasty and ample. The fish were very large pieces, but not the best tasting cod. Meh. The fries were horrible. Looked like the grease was old, so definitely dark brown, but not crisp. There are 2 things that made this a less than event. The cashier! She was snippy and just not nice. The 2nd thing was that we were charged .75 for an extra plate! Now, it isn't that i mind the charge, but we were not made aware of it when we ordered. Would we have been charged if we ate off the same plate? This kind of nickel and diming makes you not want to return. We paid cash, but beware they charge 3% for using a credit card. We won't return. We won't recommend. There are far better places to eat.
