Inconsistent and way overpriced! Used to love their burrata appetizer but went last night and it was just weird. Giant half sliced tomatoes and no balsamic. Very bland considering it again used to be our favorite app. Food portions suck for the price. $30 for veal saltimbocca but barely any veal. My husband and I went to Teresa's for my SIL's wedding rehearsal dinner a few weeks back, so this review is only specific to the food/service at the venue opposite the actual restaurant/deli. The service was good--all of the employees were attentive and coming over if we needed more water, wanted to order drinks from the cash bar, and taking our plates away when we were done with our meal. The food itself was simply not good. I would equate it to a lower quality version of Olive Garden. If I wanted a sub-par Italian dinner, I would have stayed home and cooked for our family myself. read more

I have the chicken broccoli ziti and it felt like I was eating it out of a soup bowl because they had so much sauce in it. The chicken was the best part but the broccoli was very hard to eat. I don't know how many times I've driven by and said I should check it out but I finally did last Friday and I'm kicking myself for not stopping in sooner! Lovely location and quite busy for a Friday at lunch. In fact, I think our waitress had every table around us and looked so busy as there were several large tables. The menu is huge. We went with the salmon (dining partner ate it in record time so no complaints from him) and I tried the frutti di mare. It was packed with seafood. I asked for a bowl for the shells and a spoon but neither came. I made do with the left over bread dishes. It could have used a bit more spice. But still, more than a great value for the price and we both had to work on it to finish it. For drinks, we went with on tap beer and the mermaid water. The drink was pretty weak. Order a large pizza and a bottle of wine . It was a pick up order. Put the order in at 5 pm and asked if I could pick it up at 6 pm. They have curbside pickup so when I arrived I called them and they immediately brought it out to my car. Pizza was was still hot when we arrived home the pizza was perfectly cooked and delicious. We ordered a 16" round Bianco pizza pizza. 4 cheeses Fontina, Parmesan, mozzarella and ricotta drizzled with olive oil. Thin crust cooked perfectly with some bubble and a touch of char. We have been to all of the other Teresa location's, T's Tavern and Grille 19 but we haven't been here yet until today! It was a beautiful day out and we decided to sit outside in the patio section for lunch and a few beers. The waitresses were all friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The lunch portions were the perfect size and it is conveniently located across the street from Richardsons Ice Cream where we went over after for some dessert. Oh how I wish I had read the other 1 & 2 star reviews.... they speak volumes and I can 100% attest to them based on my experience. This place was disappointing to say the least. Expensive prices and poor quality of food that tastes microwaved: just like other reviews said. As a first timer, I walked in with NO expectations other than hoping they had gluten-free items (which they did). My boyfriend and I arrived at 6:15pm on a Friday, expecting a long wait. There was no wait and throughout the evening we noticed they really didn't have too many customers for being a Friday night. Now I know why... I ordered the Osso Bucco which was a braised pork short rib with polenta and "vegetables of my choice." I was given a plate of microwaved meat topped with a sauce to hide the taste, on top of overly-sweet and gritty polenta, and the "vegetables" were over-cooked carrots... about 6 tiny slices to be exact. This dish was probably one of the most disappointing dishes I have had in a while. The server didn't even let me choose my vegetable. For $24 I expect to get a decent meal. Service was sub-par. I saw my server sitting down in a chair when I came out of the bathroom. I get it that you have to be on your feet all day, but go sit in the back or something where people can't see you. So unprofessional. I also had to ask to fill my water and when she did there were chunks of god knows what in it. Disgusting. Everyone else in the group didn't seem very enthused about their meals. This place is gignormous! I was quite impressed as this place was totally filled. Must of been close to 1000 people inside, so many rooms it was hard to count. We took a beeper, had a 90 minute wait, and ended up in the back bar getting a table for 4 in under 10. The kitchen must have been crankin. Here's why. We ordered drinks, appts, and dinner- appts came out in under 10 minutes- fresh & hot the soup, and sampler was piping hot and yummy. In 15 more minutes, dinner came out: Dinner was also very good, cooked perfectly, nice presentation, hot, and god sized portions. My Pollo Milan was very good. Huge cutlet and fresh pasta. I would definitely return for another try. My friends and I loved the food and service was attentive and spot on. I am always looking for good Italian on the North Shore, and this place fits the bill (though a bit of a drive for me). I've been here for both dinner, as well as drinks and appetizers, and both times had an excellent experience. The bread and oil is good, though not the best I've had. I love the calamari here. For dinner, I had the chicken broccoli over fusilli with a scampi-type sauce, and it was delicious. My friend loved her gnocchi. Portions are good sized. For drinks, I like the strawberry caipirinhia (sp?). Though it is not a true one (no cachaca), it is still good. I forget what my friend drank, but remember her liking it. And I love that the owner stops by to check on you. Service was fine. I recommend making a reservation, at least for a Friday night, as it was packed. I went in the middle of the week once, and though busy, seating did not seem to be an issue. The bar is also nice to sit at for a drink. read more

Finally, a restaurant that not only has fantastic food but fantastic staff!!! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very nice man named Sean. My family had the pleasure of having a waitress named Naiomi. She was very knowledgeable of the menu, friendly, pleasant and one of her first questions was to find out if anyone at our table had any allergies or food sensitivities. I was quite impressed as this is rarely asked. Although the restaurant was busy, not once did we feel rushed or unattended to. It is rare to go out to dinner and have the perfect meal and waitress! Awful, awful, awful! The service was horrible, not once did the waitress fill our drinks and we waited forever for our orders. The food was gross, the only thing that tasted decent was the bread. Even the water tasted gross and dirty! In fact, the water was already poured into each glass when we sat down - God knows how long it was sitting there. I ordered a salad and some of the leaves were brown and rotted. Other people in my party said that the chicken tasted like rubber, their steak was not cooked, and the pasta was mushy. My parents like this restaurant, so I visit with them every few months. We're usually a big party: me, my husband, my parents, my brother, and my grandmother. The service is meh. One time, the waitress spilled a tray of drinks on my grandmother! (They didn't even do anything other than say "sorry" to her. If she had let me make a scene, I'd have advocated for at least her meal comped.) I like the steak tips and mashed potatoes there. The glaze they use for the tips is sweet, and that makes me happy. After having many excellent experiences at Teresa's over the years while living in Andover, we ended up making a 40 minute trek from our new home to pay one of our old favorites a visit. For my wife and I, Teresa's was the spot of one of our first dates, a place we had made a point to take both of our families to and even the venue of my wife's bridal shower. Needless to say, we were big fans! It had probably been a couple years since our last visit and we were eager to make the trip back to Middleton as part of our long-awaited escape from quarantine, after avoiding restaurants for much of the year In the times of COVID, the restaurant seemed to handle things very well, so credit to them for being good about distancing, mask wearing and sanitization. However, our dining experience was unfortunately underwhelming this time around and probably the first real dud in the 2 dozen or so trips we've made to Teresa's since 2015. My wife ordered the Chicken Parm and I ordered the Chicken Milano as we have ordered many times in the past. When the orders came out, my wife's dish was swapped with another order and we had to wait about 5 minutes for the mix-up to get sorted out. No big deal, but a little strange considering we were dining at an off-peak hour and only 5 or 6 other tables were being served at the time. Oh well. In the end, my wife did enjoy her meal, so good news there. My Chicken Milano though was difficult to cut and chew as the piece of chicken served with my dish was very tough. On all other occasions, the chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, but no such luck this afternoon. I wasn't going to bring it up, but we did drive 40 minutes and the wife urged me to mention it to our waitress, who very graciously offered to have it remade. As my wife was wrapping up her meal, the 2nd Chicken Milano came out. While it was definitely an improvement, unfortunately it was still tough. I didn't make a stink of it and ate around the undesirable sections , but it was really disappointing as this had been my favorite dish. While the manager Sean did come over to the table to apologize for the quality of the first dish, he never offered to comp the meal or adjust the bill in any way. I wasn't looking for a free lunch here, but just found it odd that the manager would come by to apologize and then leave it at that. :: Shoulder Shrug:: It's a shame to go out on a sour note, but this will probably be our last trip to Teresa's given our now 40 minute drive and the subpar experience. Spontaneous date night and the service was spectacular but the food was meh. He got the steak tips (medium), broccoli and salad and I got the Chicken Parmesan with the homemade fusilli for a two dollar up charge. He enjoyed the marinade and ceasar dressing but the tips came out undercooked, way more rare than medium as ordered. My chicken parm was swimming in sauce. I've been here twice in the last two months, and I was very satisfied both times. We first saw this place on Phantom Gourmet, but I now take their recommendations with a grain of salt, because what the Phantom says is great, I've found alright. However, after being here twice I would have to agree with the Phantom for once and say this place is great. You get an excellent meal for an great value. We ordered the Arancini, which was homemade, with a very nice sauce, and it was a large one, not some teenie tiny rice ball some places try to sell as an appetizer, it was really delicious. Pork Chops with Vinegar and it was truly excellent. I don't get pork chops all the time, but I saw a waiter bring one to a table, and the vinegar peppers complimented these monster pork chops so well it was excellent. My better half got the Chicken Milanese, which was simple and very good, just like something your grandmother would have made. We were still impressed with Nick going over to every table after they got their bill to make sure everything was okay. So when Nick came to our table I started talking to him and telling him that I was impressed that he really takes to his word as in the commercials on Phantom, and is there and wants to make sure everyone was satisfied. We started talking business, and you realize that this guy really cares about the restaurant, and cares more about providing a great dining experience for his customers. He really believes that when his customers are happy, they will tell more people. The second visit was three weeks ago, and we walked in on a Saturday night at 9:00, we had the artichoke cheese drip, nice and rich served with pita crisps. And the Calamari, which was flash fried just right (R.I. style with the peppers) served with an Asiago dipping sauce that complimented the tender calamari very well. (Personally I missed the bodies, and this gave me the inclination that they were frozen and not fresh, I mean where are the bodies...) For entrees I had the Boneless Rib Eye, that was cooked just as I asked, and was just a great cut of meat, asparagus was drizzled with a Provolone fondue that just dressed up the asparagus so much, and boy was it tasty. The twice baked potato was awesome, and my GF, could not get enough of the cheese pancetta filled goodness. I also ordered a side of Fusili Alfredo, (because I could not decide) and I'm glad I did, it was a very good Alfredo sauce, not this wanna be Alfredo that is all butter, and cream with a little bit of cheese for taste. This was a hearty rich Alfredo that was nice and heavy. Not as good as my brother's but still the best that I can remember out of any restaurant in years. Still again, Nick came over at the end of our meal and chatted with us again, and he remembered us, a real businessman, running a family business. This place is has a great ambiance, you get an excellent meal, with a great value. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE SOMETHING ASK FOR NICK THE MANAGER HE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!!!! Friday and Saturday nights during peak dinner times are packed. Everyone could not stop raving about how delicious the food was, the chicken Marsala, penne vodka, and sausage peppers and onions were a huge hit. Food is great if you use their function side BEWARE we agreed on a price they changed it week of had to dig out old agreement to prove the original price. On day of agreed to use extra money towards the bar and to stop after a certain amount, they allowed group to go well over the agreed upon price so I was left holding the bag when I questioned them on what happened all we got was sorry we had communication break down. I recently went to Teresa in Middleton and talked my guests into ordering the garlic bread. In the past the garlic bread is toasted with mozzarella cheese melted beautifully. but what was so impressive was the amount of bread you got in the order. The bread was normally about 5 inches in diameter, beautiful toasted and delicious for $10. This week, i was embarrassed when the manager delivered the order. it looked like the cook took a sub roll, sliced and cut it into random small pieces 2 in long. mozzarella cheese was barely melted and the bread was not toasted at all! it was terrible. i wanted to send it back but my friends won't let me. I placed an order with their catering section recently. I ordered eggplant rolotinis and stuffed shells, to augment a dinner I was hosting recently. There was no issues with the order and it was ready for pick up at the specified time. The person at the pick up counter was helpful, friendly and efficient. Both dishes were exceptionally good, especially the eggplant. The sauce on the dishes was delicious too, just the right amount of sweet. OMG From one extreme to another. It's been a while since we have been here. Ordered lobster ravioli, penne D-CBZ Alfredo sauce with rollatini. The lobster ravioli was awesome but small portions. The penne was very good. When we taped into the rollatini, MOG. I thought I was eating tainted beef it was so sour I thought they used vinegar instead of wine. 75.00 was not what I wanted to destroy a meal. That did destroy the entire meal. Now I will look for another true Italian restaurant. My wife wouldn't let me call them so I'm posting it. Oh ya, enjoy the bread she says. They forgot it. I brought a guest to the Teresa's Italian venue tonight. We were seated promptly at a nice table and the waitress was pleasant. A very large and noisey party came in and they sat them next to us despite the dining room being empty and we could barely have a conversation. I am not sure why they would have sat them next to us with a barren dining room. The waitress came over about 4 times in 15 minutes to take our order and we told her we wanted to relax and she suggested we place the menus on the side of the table when we were ready. In a flash once we placed them she came over. I asked if there were any specials and she said only on the weekend. The waitress at the large table next to us explained a few soup specials to her guests. To summarize, we placed two very nice dinner selections and they came out in about 10 minutes and my entree was the Seafood Fri Diavlo. The clams were cold and the dish was floating in a watery diluted sauce. TAKE OUT Review (Attempted 2X). Found this spot due to North Shore Magazine recommendation. Where to begin? Tried to order a pizza last month for take out. It was like something out of a Seinfeld episode. Asked for a large pizza, half sausage and half cheese. Guy who answered phone was totally confused. Then said ok a large sausage pizza but 1/2 is just cheese. He then wanted to know if the sausage side would have cheese... listening to the person ordering we were all laughing as she asked if it was pizza, didn't it have to have cheese? This went back and forth. So long story gets longer. Ordered what we thought was a correct order and he took our CC over the phone, then said hold on and came back a few minutes later and said "oh sorry our pizza oven is down". You've got to be kidding. The order took so long to place and yet it was so funny we just tossed it up to bad luck and there are bigger problems in the world. Ok fast forward to this weekend. Called to give them a second chance. Tried ordering the same sausage pizza(s) and sides for take out and this time a woman answered the phone. She asked if we wanted a "Ravi" sausage pizza. Not knowing what that is... we asked is that a kind of sausage? She didn't know what we meant and asked "Ravi sausage for take out?" We started laughing and tried to get clarification but to no avail... and just chose to say thanks but we changed our mind. Now, because it was so comical, we decided to look at Yelp reviews and there are a lot of mixed ones. But we have been reading the negative ones for the last 20 minutes and laughing because they are truly funny and well written but our group is just happy that both of our orders were unsuccessful. A 9 year old just said...they need Gordon Ramsay to visit that place. It's too bad because the mag write up was so positive but it appears they need some management help. read more

I went to Theresa's yesterday to celebrate a birthday. We order the Theresa's manhattan and the Sangria. The Sangria was ok nothing special, my aunt had the Manhattan which she did not care for, the bartender never asked her if she liked it as it was sitting there full. We ordered the lunch raviolis and the chicken broccoli alfredo. I took 1 small bite and was immediately turned off by how acidic the sauce was, I pushed my plate away to top if bar. My aunt also did not care for hers as it sat there untouched. I spoke up to bartender and told her I did not like it she took it away without asking if her entree was ok. She returned with our bill. So quick round up we paid 40.00 for a side caesar salad and 2 drinks, we left hungry and went to dinner elsewhere. This restaurant has better than average food. They have a kids menu too and they are accommodating to families. Also they feature a lunch menu, so don't be intimidated by it being an Italian restaurant where you can get to much food. The lunch portions are smaller but still fill you up. The meatballs are delicious as the tomato sauce is great. I got the lunch Bolognese with penne and it was excellent. They serve scali bread with butter prior to the meal arriving. My son loves the scali bread. From the kids menu we ordered pasta with butter sauce and a meatball. My wife got a chicken parmigiana sub with french fries and a pickle.
