However, there was no compensation or any additional effort made to address the situation. What was most disappointing was how little concern the restaurant seemed to show about the issue. Between the extremely long wait, finding a hair in the food, and the lack of response from management/staff, I left feeling very disappointed. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't particularly good either, which made the experience even more frustrating. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The combination didn't really work, and I wasn't a fan of the sauce being on the bottom instead of on the side.The arancini was better, but still odd. It was served over some kind of Alfredo sauce, which again felt unnecessary. It seems like this place really likes putting sauce on the bottom of dishes, and it didn't enhance the food. The real highlight of the night was the drinks. We both ordered espresso martinis, and they were honestly the best espresso martinis I've ever had. There were several other cocktails that looked great as well, so we'll definitely be back to try more drinks. Overall, the food was underwhelming and didn't meet my expectations. I wouldn't come back for the food, as their takes on classic dishes just didn't work for me. That said, if you're looking for great cocktails, Soma is absolutely worth it, especially for the espresso martinis. Get dinner elsewhere in Beverly and stop by Soma for drinks!
