I have been coming to Teriyaki Grill since high school. Even when I moved away as an adult, I would drive all the way to Lynnwood to have it. The owners are kind and attentive and efficient. And that man is a CHEF! First of all, the teriyaki is chicken THIGHS and it tastes charbroiled - they don't add extra sauce either at the end. Just marinated chicken the way the lord intended. Delicious, no frills chicken teriyaki. And their macaroni salad? Best I've ever had, bar none. You want delicious Mongolian chicken? T-Grill. Amazing fried rice? Teriyaki Grill. THE BEST SALAD DRESSING YOU'VE EVER HAD AT A TERIYAKI PLACE? Look no further. I genuinely love this restaurant and will patronage for as long as possible. Amazing!!! This teriyaki place was recommended by a friend who gave it rave reviews. It's fantastic! The portions are huge and the chicken lunch special was so good. There is a wait, but I don't mind that since the chicken is cooked to order and super fresh! My first time coming here. Everything was perfect. Perfect. Great portions at a reasonable price. Well packaged for take out. I had shrimp tempura and beef skewers too, but those vanished quickly. I've been going to this teriyaki grill for at least 15 years now!!! Honestly I've eaten at a bunch of teriyaki places and this place always replenishes my craving. The only reason why I think this place doesn't have more stars is because of the condition on the inside, it's just never been updated. Looks exactly like it did 15 years ago. Man.... after a long day of work, i was soooo hungry, figured teriyaki chicken would be a good choice. Simple, quick, a little healthy, and hard to mess up. Well I was wrong, atleast for ordering from here. The chicken was extremely dry! It was like eating chicken jerky!!! Been going to this place since I moved here in Lynnwood. It's always quick and good food. Usually always busy, a popular place. I usually get take out for home since my apt is so close and the seating there is limited during busy hours. Only 2 small tables and counter inside but always an outdoor table when the weather is nice. I usually get the chicken & beef combo and i like the macaroni salad that comes with it. I've actually been going here - thanks to my husband who used to live right by this place, for over 10 years. Everytime my hubby and i got up to Lynnwood and can't decide on where to eat, this is where we go. What's also pretty cool about this place is that you always see the mom and dad who are pretty much running the place every day. The space they have is really small, and during the winter it can be very cold inside. We always get the teriyaki chicken and bubble tea. They have some of the best bubble tea in the area. The teriyaki, yakisoba and spicy teriyaki are our go-to items. Go for the salad as a side rather than the macaroni salad. Our family gets dinner or lunch here twice a month if not more, and we have always had great service, our orders are on spot and the food delicious. My son is making his way thru the 15+ bubble teas. I do not understand the 4 and 5 star reviews at this place. Besides the fact that it is a home in the wall (duct tape is a primary element in their decor) they are slow, unprofessional,unsanitary, and worst of all, the food was not good. First- They are slow. I waited 25 minutes to get my food, and there were only 3 people in front of me. Each of them only ordered 1 item. Maybe they only have one working burner, I don't know. Second- They are unprofessional. The man who was cooking the food was constantly yelling (angrily) at the woman at the counter. There was no curtain or anything between the check stand and the kitchen, and she was only about 4 feet away. It was unnecessary, especially with customers right there. Third- They were unsanitary. One of the options when you order teriyaki is either a salad or macaroni salad. Because you can see right into the kitchen, I could see that they kept the macaroni salad sitting on a cart about two feet from the hot stove. I don't have a food handlers license and even I know that food like that is required to be kept at temperature. Allowing it to get warm like that creates a breeding ground for dangerous bacteria. If you choose to eat here,I would not order the macaroni salad. Lastly- The food was not good. I ordered a regular chicken teriyaki, my husband had pork teriyaki, and my daughter had chicken yakisoba. As my husband put it, "How do you screw up steamed white rice?" Additionally, my chicken was extremely overcooked, to the point that it was actually crunchy. There was very little pork on my husband's rice. Doesn't seem like they should charge you $2 more and then shortchange you on the amount of food. My daughter liked her yakisoba, so there is always that. Then, the icing on the cake, the side salad. How could you possibly mess it up? It is pre-bagged American salad and dressing. But the dressing... It was thick and brownish. I tasted it and realized that it was teriyaki sauce mixed with mayo. I kid you not. Besides being unappealing to look at, it tasted awful. The only thing that was really good was the gyoza, and they probably just buy them at Costco. So, to sum up. Dingy store and yucky food. It was cheap though. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are broke and this is your best option, I suggest skipping the macaroni salad and ordering your side salad without dressing. read more
