    Spicy teriyaki chicken bowl.
    Carlos O.

Pretty good teriyaki chicken, had the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl, thought it was spiced perfectly and very tasty. The establishment is small, we order online and the food came out about 10 minutes which was the expected time per the online order. One of the servers was cleaning up and made it a point to say hello and a tell me she hoped I had a great night. We will be back if we are ever on this side of town. We came over from the west side just to eat here and it was worth the 25 minute drive!

This was my first time in and im glad I stopped by. I ordered the spicy teryaki chicken bowl and upgraded to fried rice. The freshness of the ingredients and flavor of seasonings was awesome. Its cooked to order which adds to the quality. The servers were nice and the establishment was clean.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again...and I'm really happy I did. I often will not go back to a restaurant if I haven't been happy with my order previously, however, I was really in the mood for some good teriyaki and I thought I would go ahead and give this place another chance. I'm really happy that I did. This time the food was amazing. It definitely tasted like teriyaki chicken! It was full of sauce, and they also provided extra sauce on the side. The rice was done nicely and the veggies were delicious. This was exactly what I wanted! I ordered carry out and the service was fast and my order was correct. I haven't been inside the restaurant so I can't comment on the ambience. I'm super happy to report that my last meal there was perfect. I will definitely give them another chance and I hope you will as well.

Well, I thought I'd give it a try again. The food is really good. I've had it two times when they opened but the last four times I tried to go I left. Today I waited until about 1:30 to go and when I got there there were people sitting at every table +4 people standing I spoke with them. They all said they had ordered. Nobody had food yeah. Once again, I walked out people just don't have time for lunch like that. The strange thing is the advertise a while back that things have changed. And it didn't. Now there is a under new ownership sign on. The problems still exist.

Had gotten coupons in the mail and decided to give this place a try. We went on Friday night and there was a constant stream of people in and out. Small shop with a few tables, but parking wasn't bad. Workers were friendly. Our order seemed to take a little longer compared to others that came in behind us though. Among the happy hour items (M-F 3-5 pm), the jr teriyaki chicken bowl was $4.99 (which the gal at the counter was nice enough to correct for us after giving the guy after us the discount, originally $9.09) and they also have 20% off for military. For $20 (with our coupon), we got two junior teriyaki chicken bowls with noodles/veggies and a regular sized spicy teriyaki bowl with fried rice. Flavor was good and chicken wasn't dry. This just might be our new favorite spot (and reminiscent of the original Teriyaki Chicken Bowl). 2024 #27

Good Food! Staff was friendly and interacted with customers. Wait was 25 minutes. Worth it. The portions are huge. You get to pick from three different bowl sizes. You can add double protein. You have an option of fried rice, brown rice, or white rice. You can choose your vegetables. The inside is small but clean and well maintained.

I don't want to give this place a bad review.... But it's not that good for what you pay. The veggies are soggy and have a weird aftertaste. Like if they were frozen for too long... I don't know. I was hoping to like this place and maybe I got the wrong thing. You'll still get a better bowl for less money at Jack N' the box... the sauces on the table are all empty and they are gross, picture like a toddler handing you their kids tablet after they've been eating their favorite snacks by hand. That's what it feels like grabbing the soy sauce bottles. I instantly had the urge to go wash my hands...

    Brunt spicy chicken

Smelt really good as we went to the ups store. We got dinner to go... sadly you can't get noodles and rice. One or the other. The spicy chicken bowl was, well for lack of a Better term, Awful. No flavor just Tabasco and burnt. As if they dunked it in Tabasco and cooked it. Pot stickers were rocks. Not sure if they were deep fried or what. But frozen and reheated and just nasty. They got thrown out the window. Those who tried the spicy bowl are now complaining of stomach pains.

We came around 3:30pm so we could catch the masala chai happy hour. I love masala chai and rarely have the chance to get freshly made dairy-free chai. I was disappointed basically from the first moment after walking inside. The server greeted us by announcing, "We are out of vegetables today." I didn't know how this was possible; eventually, she explained that they had run out of the "veggies of the day" that come with certain dishes such as the yogi plate; they were still able to provide vegetables in other dishes like the kitchari. But I was shocked, since I love vegetables, and their veggies of the day are so prominently advertised. I asked if the other location had vegetables available today. The server was unable to tell me. We decided to place our order anyway. I had some questions about the baked goods, since I rarely get the chance to have desserts that are vegan and seed oil-free. I was curious if any of the baked goods was entirely oil-free or at least free of coconut oil. The server seemed very unmotivated to help me figure this out. When I asked about ingredients, she just repeatedly pointed me to the labels on the cookies that denoted the type of sugar each one contained as well as certain allergens, but did not have full ingredient lists. I asked if the chef or manager might be available to clarify certain ingredients, only to be told that "the chef usually only works in the mornings." I was at a loss, and eventually, with some obvious reluctance, the server went into the kitchen to ask one of the cooks about the ingredient lists. The server returned saying "Yes, the majority of the items have coconut oil." Ummmm the majority? Which ones, exactly? At this point, I gave up and just did not order dessert. I tried to order an iced chai which they were out of. I ended up getting a hot chai as well as kitchari and dal. The chai was pretty average. It wasn't particular spicy nor particularly hot. The kitchari and dal were actually incredibly delicious. It's rare to find a restaurant that doesn't use excessive salt; these dishes were perfectly seasoned with warm, nourishing spices and very little (if any?) salt. Even the fact that they were served basically lukewarm didn't detract from how much I enjoyed them. This place seems truly special and I don't know if my experience was an exception. I really wanted to love them, but they made it pretty difficult, despite having great and healthy food.

Make sure you take the time to walk around and see the entire property--it is HUGE! It feels like you're stepping into a beautiful Spanish-style hacienda, yet it still manages to feel warm, homey, and down-to-earth. The restaurant is very spacious, has beautiful areas for events, and is also dog-friendly. We made reservations, and I definitely recommend doing the same--you NEED them! We were seated right away, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. Now, the food! I loved that you can order your chile "Christmas" style and get both red and green. And FYI--endless chips and salsa! The margaritas were strong and delicious, exactly how a margarita should be. I highly recommend the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was moist, tender, and perfectly shredded. The tacos were also great, and the mole chicken was delicious. My only wish is that the menu offered a few more seafood options. Between the atmosphere, great service, delicious food, and margaritas, El Pinto was such a fun New Mexico experience. My parents lived in ABQ for years and always thought that the atmosphere was great, but the food was so-so. However, on this instance, we all thought the food was quite good. Flavorful carne adovada, although it was a bit tough. Red chile sauce was spicy but had great flavor. The green chile sauce was hot and tasty. Posole was also good. The gold margaritas were also good - to anyone complaining about the price - at $14.50, the price is very fair considering the cost of ingredients. If you want a cheap junk margarita that is more sugar than anything else, go somewhere else! Our gripe... The place is huge and has an abundance of great places to seat guests. We had a pretty large group - 7 people celebrating a family reunion of sorts. However, they sat us right next to the bussing station that had noisy carts, dishwashers, and other distractions. It was so loud, it was hard to hear the person across the table. There were at least 10 other tables that they could have seated us at! It seems to me that this area should be used only when the restaurant is completely full. This seems to be a poor management decision rather than the fault of the servers or hosts.
