I thought this place was great the first time I went, but upon a second visit it's just OK and I would probably try another Chinese place in the area before returning. Both visits were takeout based. I think that most of their business is takeout, and they do a great job of packaging everything up, even for big orders. They have an online ordering system, which is very convenient as well. We've ordered a few different things from here, and the portions are massive and the ingredients are decent. However, the food is on the bland side. I've asked for spicy dishes and they never are. So it's great if you are someone who can't tolerate spice, I suppose. It suffers from the issue of everything then sort of tasting the same. Nothing there is bad, but nothing is very interesting. I think my favorite dish, out of the 5 or so that I've tried, are the fried string beans. read more

Haven't had this food in quite some time about 8 or 9 months. The crab Rangoon was cold and not very much flavor.. The steamed dumplings were not even lukewarm and uncooked or very undercooked.. the pork fried rice was warm at the bottom but very flavorful. I can't even complain about the flavor. It was excellent.. The barbecued spareribs were kind of warm but extremely tasty so those were the star of the meal.. the orange chicken was not hot at all and a little mushy. As far as the flavor goes, they're pretty good but they used way too much orange rind so the whole dish tasted like orange rind. The egg drop soup was only lukewarm warm which is a pretty good indicator of how long this food took till the time I got to eat it. In one of those soup containers that typically keep things extremely hot for a very long time but in this case was a telling indication of the problem. This place is definitely an example of the iron triangle where you pick two between fast, cheap and good. Dragon wok meetd undef the fast and cheap category. Prices are just right and you get more than what you would get at a fast food establishment. The lunch specials are especially great they all come with fried rice, egg roll and soup for under $10 which is hard to find these days. One gripe is that the fried rice really isn't real fried rice since it doesn't have egg nor does it come with a lot of veggies. The soup options are egg drop or wonton. I liked the egg drop more since the wonton soup had big wontons in it with hardly any meat. The soups gets thick as they cool off. The egg rolls like other reviewers have mentioned are a bit peppery. I don't mind it but if you are not a huge black pepper fan you might not like them. I add extra Sriracha or sauce to mine as I eat them and they are very filling. For the entrees I've had the Kung Po chicken and the Beef with vegetables plates. Both are good but not the best out there. Again there is something in the sauces that are a bit thicker in consistency but the veggies and meat are decent. The portions are more than enough for me. I usually only eat half and save the other half for another meal. I would definitely recommend this place over fast food since they are fast and locally owned with great prices. Prices are fantastic, portions are huge and they have a great lunch special (that includes fried rice, an egg roll and choice of soup). I ordered the Chicken w/ Broccoli and General Tsos. The Chicken and Broccoli was tasty and the Fried Rice also was solid. The Broccoli could have be a bit more cooked but was ok. The General Chicken had poor quality chicken and some pieces had brown sections. They put too much corn starch in the General sauce making it very thick. The Egg Rolls looked great but had a bit of weird taste to them (maybe due to freshness?). The Wonton soup was ok but I was expecting a tender pork filling in the Wonton and instead it was some dark meat. I guess you kind of get what you pay for regarding meat quality here. Delicious! We've gotten takeout twice lately. The lunch specials are amazing. Inexpensive, huge portions and flavorful. The General Chicken had good crunch but still tender inside. There's enough sauce to cover all the meat. The Kung Poa chicken is probably my favorite. The chicken is good, the veggies are good and the dish is spicy. Egg rolls were well cooked. We had been going to this establishment for several years. It appears that the ownership changed and the food quality as well. Each item on the menu used to be excellent. After the change in "ownership " things went downhill. So we stopped going there. We had heard that that they had recently improved. We ordered a main entree egg fu young , with a side of egg rolls and soup. Every item was so saturated with salt that it was inedible. There is no way I can recommend this restaurant! read more

Dragon Wok is in the Sycamore Plaza off Academy Road in between bárre3 and SuperCuts in the small business area across from PetsMart. There was no greeting at Dragon Wok when I walked in. A young child, who I would estimate was around 10-12 years old and hanging out in the lobby, eventually took my order and worked the register. There were three adults working in the back of the restaurant; I'm not sure why a child was working the front. The $9.99 lunch special came with the entree, a choice of soup, an egg roll, and a fortune cookie. My soup selection, the egg drop, was quite thick and served in a to-go container with wontons on the side. I didn't enjoy it, nor did I eat it after two or three spoonfuls. The egg roll had an odd taste, and I didn't enjoy that either. The orange chicken entree was served in a to go container. After dropping off the food without a word, I never saw another employee again. I believe the "fried rice" was actually just brown rice with a few veggies mixed in. Like the egg drop soup and egg roll, it was not enjoyable. The orange chicken didn't have an appealing taste, and the chicken was overcooked so it was somewhat dry and tough. My plastic fork couldn't spear some of the pieces because of the toughness, so I had to use my fork like a spoon. I ended up tossing most of the meal in the lobby trash. As I left, I was also ignored. Given the poor customer service, no greeting or ordering from an adult employee, unappetizing/poor tasting food, toughness of the meat, and to-go containers for dine in, I would never spend money at this establishment again. 1 star is generous. read more

This is the standard of good fast and delicious Chinese food. I've been getting take out from here for over 15 years. they still have the excellent quality of food and providing plenty! I eat here a lot, it's so good. The soups are my favorite especially the hot and sour! The Kung pao is incredible with a lot of fresh veggies and meat. You get a lot of food for the price. They're always busy and that's for a good reason, you need to try this place!!! You can tell the ingredients are super fresh and cooked to order with no skimping. It's more of a to go place not necessarily sit down although I think you could if you wanted to. The dining room is not that private so if you did want to sit down you would have the high volume of pick up orders going on next to you. I recommend getting your own to go soy sauce/duck sauce because I don't like the brand particularly but I don't mind it in a pinch. I don't care about this though because their food is just insanely good and refreshing. The family that owns it is always working hard never standing around, and they are really nice! We had never been here and came to dine in. This is NOT a place where you'll want to dine in - they just aren't set up for that. We were the only dine-in customers with a non-stop stream of carry-out patrons. The dine-in food is served in carry-out containers - even the soup, which was in a plastic lidded container. Silverware consisted of a flimsy plastic spoon and fork and since meat pieces were large, it was challenging to eat. The food itself was mostly quite good, although egg rolls were sub par. The portions are enormous - even the dinner combo could feed two! We took home most of our food. I can see returning here to pick up a carry-out order, but never to eat in again. Hats off to the young man (age 12 perhaps?) who took all phone orders, waited on us, handled the carry-out distributions, and ran the cash register, all with good-natured charm. read more

Booked an evening delivery through Uber Eats because the review on Uber Eats was high-was super impressed with the singapore noodles, they have a curry base with lots of big chunks of protein. The only negative as it was little on the salty side, as is with most asian cuisine. Next time we will request low sodium. First of all, when you walk in you hear them speaking a different language and anyone who knows knows that that food is going to be bussin. The customer service is absolutely phenomenal! Employees are attentive the moment you walk in the door, they don't crowd you like right away but once you've taken a couple of steps in they've already made eye contact and they're ready to engage in conversation or assist with your order and that is really great. The food is fire. I really love steam buns and it's hard to find some good steam buns around town, I've only found two locations that serve them and they're really good. Dragon Wok is one of those locations. The actual lobby of the restaurant isn't super fancy but it looks nice. It definitely has a comfy feeling and it's not too crowded either so if you are claustrophobic or have social anxiety, there's a reasonable amount of space in the lobby for not only just waiting for your order but also if you're going to dine in. The prices are also reasonable. I feel like some people might look at the prices and complain but realistically you're getting really good quality food for that price and that food could easily be more expensive. These people know what they're doing and they deserve every penny that they charge for that food. There is also pamphlets right outside the restaurant with the menu on them. I think this is also helpful! I like this place, I like the employees, I like the food, the customer service is amazing, the food is amazing.
