Saw an ad for Teriyaki Madness on FB and decided to give them a try. I usually like places like this so I was pretty hopeful for a good experience. Walked in and took a minute to figure out the menu. I ended up ordering the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Power Bowl (just chicken and veggies- no rice) and a chicken egg roll to go. Service was a bit slow, but I'm used to a place like Chipotle where everything is already cooked...here they cook it to order so I didn't mind. The meal was pretty good. Pretty good portion of protein, but I actually feel like I didn't get a full serving of veggies as the bowl wasn't quite as 'full' as I had hoped. Seasoning and sauce were tasty and I finished the whole thing so I was still pretty full. Egg roll was mediocre at best...I won't order that again. Overall a very good first experience- good food, pleasant service, place was clean and seemed pretty fun. I'll be back.

Teriyaki madnesss......we checked out this place to see what all the hype was about!!! Not bad for a Japanese American restaurant!! We did dine on a lull so the food was well made and quickly served! The spicy chicken isn't spicy FYI lol but it was tasty. The restaurant has about 4 to 5 tables I can't remember but very clean and organized. If you have one near you definitely a choice for lunch. Enjoy!!

Love the food here! 2nd time here got the 2protein bowl chicken and steak. Great size portions. Chicken potstickers oh my!! So good! Jen got the orange chicken. Really good also.

We must've had an off experience because there's no way this place has so many great reviews and is still in business if everyone's food was the same as ours. We got the chicken and steak bowls. The food didn't seem fresh at all for either bowl. The rice was both kind of hard and wet, and the vegetables had a certain stank. Thankfully we didn't get sick. The meats seemed like they were pre- cooked a while ago and reheated. They were barely lukewarm, not hot. The chicken had a nice grilled flavor, and I think it would be quite good if fresh. The steak was very tough and hard to chew. My mom said she would rather go to Sarku in the mall. We are too scared to even try this place again.

Really good Chicken Teriyaki. I was surprised for a chain how good the chicken was. It tasted really fresh and was grilled crispy and juicy with teriyaki sauce on it. Noodles are good , veggies are fresh steamed. The fried rice is super awesome with egg in it like it should be. The spicy Tofu is definitely spicy but has good flavors. The restaurant is not that big. Maybe 6 or 7 small tables it seems it would fill up quick but service was fast. I would stop back when I'm in the area and try some other items.

Was very excited to try out this new place near Rockaway Mall but my excitement faded whens for $11+ I got a small portion of meet and most of the bowl was mushy. The chicken teriyaki had fried rice and that was even mushier and wet (couldn't eat it). The meat was very well cooked, tender and seasoned . The veggies weren't cooked all the way so if you like raw and chewy then this is for you. Seating limited but seems to be just enough. Wasn't too cold inside, the staff was friendly. There are three size bowls junior, regular and large. The pics show the regular size. Cashier handles the money and the packing of the food which includes touching opened utensils to place in your bag after touching keypads, money etc. Just opened recently so I'm sure the rice will get better but for now I'll just head inside the mall to sarku japan for my teriyaki chicken as the portion is a little more for the same price. Quite establishment. But I was hoping the food was better than it was. Definitely give it a try as your experience might be different.

The place is a simpler local eatery, so decor wasn't exactly a designed by some of the best New York interior decorators, but it was pleasant and very calm. The food is a fusion of various Asian cuisines but it is picked very well and cooked to perfection. Kids loved the Baos and Ramen which is probably one of the best indicators of the quality. From what I can tell it is family owned and run, so service may be a little slower than most similar places but it is definitely attentive and friendlier then most.

We shared some small plates and tried to get a good feel for the menu. Higher end vibe with some cool fusion elements to the options available - it's clear ingredients are high quality and presentation is very important to them. Even the drinks have fun little lights in them! Service was very kind and attentive but also lets you take your time - which is lovely! We had reservations which I don't think was necessary on a weeknight, but would recommend it for weekends. They mark your reserved table with a cute sign! Overall prices were a bit high for the portions but I understand it's likely for quality. Be prepared to spend if you're hungry!

I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

We were very excited to discover Malay nearby in Morristown, and we had to check it out. We ordered the Malay Prawn Mee, Chicken Sambal, and the Roti Canai. Roti Canai is one of my favorite Malaysian dishes, but this didn't quite hit the spot. The roti wasn't soft and dip-able. It was kind of flaky and kept falling apart every time I tried to use it to scoop up some curry. The curry was a little watery and not all that flavorful, and I defintiely would've appreciated more than just one or two chunks of potato and chicken. The chicken sambal and soup were additionally a bit disappointing. The chicken sambal was just okay for me, and the flavor didn't really blow me out of the water. It almost felt like something I could make at home. The soup similarly did not have a particularly rich or flavorful broth, and left me a little dissapointed. Another thing that really influences my review is how cold it was inside. It got even colder when people opened and closed the door. It was so cold that our food didn't seem hot. I think the cold air cooled it off instantly and we were left eating room temperature chicken and soup.
