I have come here for their teriyaki before, and the meat portions are pretty solid for a lunch box that is under ten dollars. The sushi, on the other hand, is very mediocre and kind of expensive. It is twelve dollars for an eight-piece dragon roll, and the eel is so thin you can barely see it when you look at the cross section. The cucumbers are also cut pretty thick, so you miss that finely chopped, crisp texture you usually get in sushi rolls with cucumber. All in all, just stick to the teriyaki. One upside is that the staff is actually very accommodating with customizations like less sauce, more sauce, more vegetables, or fewer vegetables, which is always appreciated. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the customer service I experienced at Teriyaki One was extremely disappointing. I walked in around 8:50 PM to order dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After placing my order, my family and I sat down at a table, only to find it was filthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Trying to be considerate, we asked the employee if we could have a rag so we could wipe the table ourselves instead of bothering him. His response was, "No, your meal is to go." I was confused because I never asked for my order to be to-go. When I pointed that out, his attitude immediately changed, and it felt like he was trying to force us to leave. Meanwhile, there were several other customers sitting inside eating their meals. Why were they allowed to dine in, but we were being told we couldn't? When I explained that his behavior was rude and poor customer service, he responded by saying, "Well, if you're done in 15 minutes, you can stay." That response was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. It wasn't about the 15 minutes--it was the way we were treated. Food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and prepared quickly as we watched. The only suggestion is to put more salmon in Teriyaki Salmon, so it's comparable to Teriyaki Chicken on amount of protein. This place reminds me of any mall food court Japanese teriyaki place and I'm here for it! I don't live in this neighborhood anymore, but still come to the stores in this complex. Hadn't noticed it before, but finally did and decided to check it out for lunch. We ended up getting the chicken teriyaki with noodles and it was the nostalgic taste that I been craving, albeit a little blander. The sauce feels thinned out and they don't give much so it takes away some of the enjoyment. The noodles were fine, but also kind of bland so next time I'm just going to go with the rice. This place is located on the corner of Caesar Bay. It's a bit hard to see the restaurant depending on the direction you are coming from. I was there around lunch time. There was a worker mopping the floor which I think was inappropriate. Mop after lunch hour where it's going to be less people. The floor doesn't seem dirty or wet. The food are cook per order so you will always get hot food. The dumplings skins are a bit chewy and there isn't a lot of filling. Anybody who has ever been to any food court in any mall, will know exactly how I feel about this place. The food tastes exactly like that. Like I just spent 3 hours shopping, the guy standing outside the food court with the tray of bourbon chicken that you just take three, or five of, leaving only the toothpick for carnage. Only this time there is no guy standing outside. You have to go inside to get this chicken. Whether or not it is chicken remains up for debate. At least it tastes juicy. I changed it up a bit and got beef and shrimp. Whether or not that is beef is up for debate, but it is hard to disguise shrimp. Thankfully, I was able to switch up the rice for noodles. That should be the go-to. The noodles act as a better conveyor of the meats than the rice. Therefore, I recommend noodle over rice here, and you get plenty of them. In general, you get plenty of food, meat included, for the price. The issue is the high salt content in the food. One drink simply is not enough. You will need at least two, or three if you are like me and get a dry mouth fairly quickly. That only adds to the bill, and likely where they get you in the end. Unfortunately there is no guy who serves free water cups with your meal either. That one is on you. read more

I liked the chicken more than the beef and the fried rice was very flavorful. Besides teriyaki they have other items on the menu as well but I wouldn't recommend getting those since they did not look appetizing. Reminds me of the mall set up with your Chicken Teriyaki, but they also have Poke bowls and sushi rolls. Walking in, you can see there is plenty of seating. It is immaculately clean, which is always great to see at a food establishment. Their service was quick and efficient. The cashier up front gives you all the options and reviews your order with you one more time to make sure it's correct. The place is well ventilated too, which is important for the large grill they have operating all day long. I tried the Chicken Teriyaki, Salmon Teriyaki, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Fried Chicken Dumplings, and an Angry Dragon Roll. Food was great, with generous portions. The sushi roll wasn't the best, but Rice is perfectly cooked, vegetables that come with the Teriyaki platters perfectly seasoned and steamed, and the meat was grilled well with a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce which the rice soaked up finely. Although the place was busy, it still seemed clean with staff coming around to wipe down the tables. The reason I gave this a four stars instead of five stars is I was under the impression that the chicken was going to be white meat considering most teriyaki places only serve white meat and I'm not a huge fan of dark meat but overall it was pretty darn good.
