Ordered the chicken bento box with noodles. Delicious! salad was a bit too much lettuce and 3 cucumber slices, sad salad but overall wveruthin. Else was pretty good. I would come again hopefully they can substitute the salad for something else because it wasn't enjoyable. Also please tell your customers it's extra for noodles when you ask them if they want noodles or rice. My partner had the chicken teriyaki special and said it was good rice could've been stickier like traditional Japanese food.

More like 2.5 stars, but I'll give them extra half star for super clean interior. No shade to anyone, but any "foodies" complaining about this place not being authentic Japanese cracks me up LOL What do you even expect from a place called "Teriyaki One". Do you walk into Domino's expecting Italian grandpa making authentic Neapolitan pizza? LOL This place is ok for what it is - mall style mock-Japanese fast food similar to "Sarku". It's not great, but it's acceptable as a quick cheap meal option. Chicken teriyaki special $5.95 comes with steamed veggies and white or fried rice (same price). Portion here is ok, but I think the mall places typically give you more, probably because they're super busy and they just shovel food from a mound of chicken into the container. This place was pretty empty and food was cooked to order, hence no chance of extra chicken falling into your container. Salmon & Shrimp bento box $9.95 comes with white or fried rice, 2 spring rolls, 3 fried dumplings and some salad. I wouldn't order this one again because salmon was paper thin and has 10pc baby shrimp. But I wasn't expecting a huge juicy piece of salmon for $9.95 either LOL You simply get what you pay for.

This is definitely NOT CHICKEN. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. This is definitely not chicken nor does it look like chicken or does it taste like chicken. I would never recommend you guys order here

So as I initially expected, this is just another Panda Express Knick off, AKA your random run of the meal Asian spot that you'd find at any Mall's food court. I got the fried rice, which was bland as if they left it white. I will say they made it fresh which is a plus, and that they give you a healthy portion of rice. The chicken was begging for seasoning also and was 1 notch above bland. It's like I could taste the flavor but it was a lite watered down version of teriyaki. Thank goodness for duck and soy sauce, they saved the meal smh. The lemonade or rather sugary lemon drink was very sweet and more like a sweet lemon juice drink vs actual lemonade or anything remotely close resembling lemonade. The bathroom and seating area were clean which I can't ignore and for that and plethora of duck and soy sauce available I will give them a 2.

A very 7/10 experience for me. Very clean place, fast business, and you get exactly what you expect. Pretty standard chicken teriyaki. The only thing to be improved is maybe the rice quality, it's a little dry but other than that you get what you expect from a commercial teriyaki place.

Salty sodium to a painful extreme.

This fast food Japanese style restaurant opened its doors about a month ago. Me being the foodie that I am, I had to try it. I ordered the chicken and shrimp bento box which includes fried rice, a salad, fried dumplings and two vegetable spring rolls. Warning, check your blood pressure before dining here. Thank God my blood pressure is very low! The food here is so salty with extreme amounts of sodium. I had a very hard time trying to eat and had to leave my food half eaten. Folks I am a foodie. I try different foods everywhere but their sodium is to an extreme that makes it painful to swallow. I can't and I am sorry to give them such a bad rating but this place will literally kill you. My last and only time here.

Saka has a solid offer of Any 3 Rolls for ~$20. Their selection of rolls is more limiting than other places; would love if they had yellowtail or scallop as options at lunch. Nonetheless, the rolls I got were solid! The fish was fresh and the portion was great, the rice layer wasn't thick at all which is a big factor for me, and to my surprise, it came with both a miso soup & salad. The miso soup was pretty flavorful compared to others I've had and the salad came with a sesame dressing that was so refreshing with the crisp salad. I should've kept my order at that as the Crispy Spicy Salmon wasn't worth it. The crispy rice was slightly too hard/over-fried and the portion of spicy salmon was so tiny. The rice layer should be fully topped with salmon, unlike what they gave. It didn't taste half bad but I'd probably skip it next time. If you order for delivery, their insulated packaging is great for transport and temperature control. Solid try!

We chose the salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and Philadelphia rolls. And we got it with the salad. The salad dressing was amazing, definitely up there with the best of the Japanese salad dressings. The rolls were great as well. Very stuffed with not too much rice and tasted very fresh. The spicy tuna maki was a little spicy for me but not anything crazy. We also got crab rangoons and those were also fantastic. Also very stuffed and sweet. And the sauce they came with was a little spicy, very good too. Overall, very impressed with our first dine out in Hoboken. We will definitely be back.

One thing I loved about the cocktail menu were the detailed descriptions and photos. It made it really easy to decide, and I wasn't disappointed by my choice. Since the restaurant iis known for sushi and pasta (and steak), I decided to try one of their Lincoln Harbor rolls which had crab, bluefin tuna, avocado, and wasabi yuzu. It had a kick to it and the fish was very fresh. I also had a side of the lobster mac and cheese, which was creamy and filled with lobster. A preamble (or verbal ramble, take your pick): My reviews of…read morerestaurants tend to follow a certain pattern. I write about ordering a ton of food, joke once again that I'll have to start that diet very, very soon and bemoan those days long past when I used to eat like Art Carney's Ed Norton and drink like Ralph Kramden's Jackie Gleason and never gain a pound. Well, that "very, very soon" diet has finally, belatedly, become a reality. A few weeks ago, I went to my pulmonologist, and I weighed more than I ever have in my life. It shouldn't have been a shock, but it was...a bit. I talked with my oldest friend, who is my age (I'm older by 3 months), and he weighs what he weighed in high school. I don't think that's going to happen to me, but I'm thinking if I really seriously diet and lose the excess weight, maybe I can reverse or at least ameliorate some of these medical issues I've been dealing with lately. As my friend said, "At the very least, you'll feel a lot better." So... I'm trying. In the past few weeks, I've managed to lose 15 pounds. I don't think I'm going to make high school weight (which, if I remember right, was in the 190's), but I've got a good momentum going, and I'm committed to seeing where it will lead. What possible relevance does all that have to a review of Teri Teri Japanese Restaurant in Union City? It means I'm not going to be reviewing the appetizer, or the soup, or the large, spicy meal, or the rich desert, or the headache-inducing-but-soul-satisfying Coconut Bubble Tea. In other words, I'm going to eat moderately and healthily, and the review will reflect that (even if, as is my self-indulgent custom, I'm not writing a review that's moderate or...healthy? No. Let's say moderate, concise and to-the-point). Preamble over. On to the actual review... In the past, the Lunchbox Mafia where I work used to order from Okinawa and I liked their Bento Box. Sadly, they no longer offer the Bento Box, and we haven't ordered from them lately. A few times, though, we've ordered delivery from Teri Teri, and I've been satisfied. The Chicken Combo was a pretty good Bento Box replacement, with soup, salad, rice, tempura, slices of ginger (love 'em!) and a 5-piece California roll (I loathe sushi, but I can handle the California roll). Recently, the Lunchbox Mafia was going to order from Teri Teri, asked if I wanted to join them, and I checked out the menu-- and it was certainly a novel experience for me, perusing the items offered for "healthy choices." I decided on the Salmon Plate, which came with salad and rice. Delivery was quick and the prices seemed reasonable. I can't remember what The New Godfather of Lunch or Sir Cheapness (former Godfather of Lunch) ordered, but I had 2 very large pieces of perfectly cooked Salmon, and a massive pile of rice, which I picked at sparingly. The Salmon was delicious and very filling all on its own. And the salad was comprised of quality lettuce (it has always been my experience that if you receive a salad made up chiefly of Iceberg lettuce, you're eating at a cheap...in terms of quality, not necessarily price...restaurant). Once my heart had recovered from the unexpected shock of my healthy eating, I imagined I could hear it offer up a faint but...dare I say it?..."heartfelt" paen of thanks to whatever God or Gods exist that I've finally...at long last... changed my ways? (I think my liver offered up that same paen of thanks when I stopped the drinking and the opioids). In any event, all of my usual verbose nonsense aside, I've liked what I've had from here, and whether your tastes run to heavy, spicy meals or more healthful alternatives when it comes to Japanese cuisine, Teri Teri is highly recommended.

I am always wary of trying Asian food in Union City but once again, I gave in to my Asian stomach without using any logic and intellect. New Jersey is a big state so I hesitate to throw all NJ Asian restaurants in the garbage, but it's easier to go back to my beloved Chinatown than to drive hours to a reputable and honorable place within NJ. Upon entering, the place felt unclean and neglected, already a sign of the doom ahead. We ordered the "combo" or in a real Japanese place, called a bento; one salmon and one mackerel. When the plates arrived, I could not suppress my surprise, which burst out in the form of uncontrollable laughter. The enormous plates were filled with rice and on one sad side, was a small piece of dry fish. Then, the rest of the "combo" came later, the tempura in boxes and the California roll on another plate. My companion wanted tempura sauce, but I told him that they would be very confused. And I was right, the server had no idea what it was. Chicken wings were chicken wings, nothing to remark about, except that I suspect they are always frozen, with a good margin for the restaurant. I am surprised that there is another location on Bergenline because what type of a lunatic would think that this unforgivable menu and cooking deserve two locations? I understand that the population is mostly latino in the area but it is a shame that they are introduced to Asian cuisine in such a deplorable and degraded manner.

The chef did provide a replacement piece, but still a bit of a bummer. Additionally, a good chunk of the course were different tuna pieces that really didn't wow me, and tasted pretty similar to one another. The urchin, salmon roe, and wagyu were also not great IMO.
