a piece of salmon on a piece of sushi

I like their special roll. And I want to suggest to make less rice on the simple salmon roll. Price was so resonable.

By looking at the place you would think it's your regular fast chinese food joint. It is definitely much more. This is Japanese food at its best. This was my 1st time visiting this establishment And I was not disappointed. 1st of all its family Owned. The chef putting attention to detail And flavor. I ordered a bento box (number 31) chicken bento. Steamed rice with Delicious chicken. A California roll included in this tasty dish. Also included was vegetable tempura And a tasty salad . Came back in November. Ordered the same bento box, it was loaded with sodium tempora vegetables were super greasy. I bought down their stars. Very disappointed. What more can you ask for?? 10.99? What a great deal for your money!! Definitely recommend this wonderful Japanese place And don't be fooled by the outside appearance. This is a must try if you're a foodie like me!!!

I've been to high price sushi spots with low light ambiance and sultry music with water fountains and all. But not one has blown me away with it's menu such as this little hole in the wall spot. The food is fresh as it is tasty and beautiful an CHEAP:.) Next time I go I'll be sure to take pics as I usually do but I just get so excited everytime I get my food an go in immediately.

Happened to be in the city with a friend who lives in the area and decided to try a sushi place neither of us had been to. I would say that the sushi was ok nothing phenomenal or a spot that I would want to revisit. The waitress could barely help when we asked for a recommendation on what was the most popular roll let alone what was her favorite. I ended up getting the red dragon roll and two spicy salmon rolls. I love tempura/flakes on my crunchy rolls but neither my friend nor I had asked for our spicy salmon rolls to have any on them. If I had ordered a crunchy roll I would've expected that but we just wanted classic spicy salmon rolls so it was kind of disappointing. I asked for a Thai iced bubble tea but they were out so I opted for lychee instead, and it tasted watery. Overall I'd say it was 3/5.

I've also turned my family and friends on to this restaurant as well. I usually do pick-up, but I've had delivery here as well and have eaten inside only once. This place is small but very clean. They recommend BYOB, but the ambience really isn't there for dinner - which is fine! It's a take out shop, what do you expect? The most important thing to remember is everything here is MADE FRESH, YA'LL!!! They make everything to order so you may be waiting a few minutes for your meal. RoP's popularity has really picked up over the past year, so sometimes the wait can get a little long. My favorite things are the wraps (the Supreme Wrap is my OG to go, but the chipotle wrap is a close second), the chicken fingers, and the fried chicken sandwich. I've also had their salads which are fresh and tasty, and a bunch of their sides - the cornbread, the creamed spinach, the mashed potatoes, and the coleslaw are all stars. (The mac n cheese is just ok! ) I've not had the Rotisserie or BBQ here, but my friends who do have said it's amazing. They also do lunch specials which is great! My favorite thing about this place, however, has to be the handmade fries. They are EXCELLENT - some of the best French fries in the area! Also, the staff here is always so pleasant and kind. They always make a note to thank you for your tips, even when placing an order online. Overall, this is a great small business to support!

I like their appetizer sampler (Aperitivos Mixtos) it brought ham croquettes, meat patties, & pork rinds. I went with my immediate family, we were a group of eight people in total. The service was okay, they mixed up my bean order but I still ate what they gave me it honestly wasn't the biggest deal it was still quite delicious. I ordered Camarones al ajillo with black beans and white rice. It was phenomenal! My mother ordered herself a bandeja paisa, my brother in law ordered himself a skirt steak. We had a sangria to share as a family and it was quite tasty. I forgot to take pictures of the food as I was way too hungry. Overall, this is a super tasty Cuban restaurant in West New York, NJ. 10/10 recommendation.

Finally made the pit stop for a lobster roll and checked out the soup board. Not gonna lie, I'm not really a soup person like that, but if I see jambalaya, I'm in. Saw it on the board and that was enough for me. They've got a menu board on the right with all the names and prices--everything's pretty affordable, and honestly any of the soups are a solid add-on to the lobster roll. The lobster roll is kinda small, just keeping it real, but it's really good. Lobster's cold, bun's warm and buttery, and yeah... my hands were fully coated in butter by the end. Messy, but worth it. Usually only like two people working, so if it's busy just expect to wait a little. Only downside is there's nowhere to sit since it's a food stall. But quick tip--go across the street and walk up like a minute (between the Mexican spot and that apartment building), there's a small park with a couple benches. Or if you don't mind walking a bit more, there's seating outside the Shake Shack by the HOPE sign. Lowkey a hidden gem. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the city. And if they've got jambalaya that day, just get it.

It's been hyped up by Seinfeld lore but to be perfectly honest the soup at this current juncture is unremarkable. I will say it's not on the level of coasting off of Seinfeld fame as Tom's Restaurant. Anyway, I came here recently and ordered the beef chili, the chicken Gumbo, and the tomatoe bisque. All were okay but definitely not something to put on a list of best soups in New York City. I would recommend stopping by for the Seinfeld nostalgia and not necessarily as a foodie/culinary experience. My order was processed pretty quickly. The space itself is to go.

I know this is an absolute staple in the area and it has its own regulars and cult following. However, if I wanted to go out for Italian food, I would not pick this place. In fact, every time I go here, it's always because of someone else's suggestion. There are some things on here that are fine - the pizza, for example, is sufficient. Their salads are also decent - usually large and fresh. But I've had some of their other hot foods and have been majorly disappointed. The calamari - from a bag, greasy. The grilled chicken panini - no flavor at all. I asked for balsamic vinegar and they had none, which is wild for an Italian restaurant. Even the wine tasted stale the last time I went here. I will give props to the waiters who are always very accommodating and pleasant. The vibe here is nothing fancy - more like a step up from a pizzeria, great to go after a movie or another activity. Like I said, this just wouldn't be my first choice for Italian food because there are much better places in the area, IMO.
