I needed a termite inspection for the sale of my property in Springfield, Pa. Searched in Yelp and every quote was $150 for the report. I called to order the report. Sean, called me back and explained the price had to include prevention which a cost more than $600. Explained to Sean I have the quote $150 from Yelp to which he would speak to Dan in the office. Waited a week before I called back. Sean said Dan wouldn't budge on the price. Somehow, I didn't trust, nor did I get warm fuzzies from Terminix in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. I searched for another and found one in Yelp with 4.9 reviews and right down the street in Morton. Prodigy Pest Solutions, a family-owned business in Morton, Pa., made me feel much more comfortable in booking with them. read more

This review is about Terminix's business practices, specifically the location at 11221 Dolfield Blvd where the manager is James Kirk. I'd been with Terminix since 2023 and up until Tues Feb 3,2026 had been very satisfied with their service. Here's where things went south and why I am no longer a customer. My regular service person Jeff White whom I adored, always calls me every quarter to schedule an appointment (which is due this month February). On Tuesday February 4th 10:30am , a Terminix person shows up at my door unannounced! Stating Jeff is out and he's helping see his clients. No one called me from this office to set an appointment. He asks if i was having any issues inside my home. Im like no but , my regular service person always comes in to check the traps and refill the bait boxes , which is why I have no issues, but Im not there to let you in to do that. He asks if he can spray around the porch (which was icy and snowy so I don't know what he accomplished) and reschedule the in house part. I say ok to the outside spray and tell him to have someone call me to reschedule for a Saturday other than 2/7/26 because I'm not available that day. Jonathan (the fill in service person) sprays ice and snow, then schedules me an appointment for Sat 2/7/26 ANYWAY despite me telling him i was unavailable. (I know this because of the 154.00 charge to my account I called the toll free number about) I call the toll free number to dispute the charge, customer service person says she'll send my complaint and refund request to the local office for them to reach out to me. No refund! No call! Customer service says refund denied because he provided service. This person DID NOT provide the service my contract is for (mice and rodents) he intentionally showed up unannounced , rescheduled my appointment for a day I wouldn't be home and charged my card to get his commission! The coward manager Jim Kirk never called, and customer service won't give you their email addresses or direct numbers for them. What business model is that, that your PAYING customers can't talk to management? Please do your research when looking for pest control. Terminix's business practices are very questionable, which is probably why the manager hides behind 800 customer service persons. read more

The service at this place is awful. Scheduled a call for bats in the attic. They've been out 3 times and the only thing they've done is put a one-way vent on the attic. Nothing has been cleaned out and no follow ups. A different person comes out each time and has to start over with no prior knowledge of what has been done. If we didn't call 2 other times to follow up, they wouldn't have scheduled anything, and we've given up at this point. They just want to sell you the year long plan and then they don't care what gets done after that. Scam of a company. Avoid at all costs. read more

I contacted Terminix to address a bee hive located in my dryer vent. During my conversation with Joshua, I agreed to an additional charge to have the dryer vent replaced, since bees were entering through it. When the technician arrived, he did not remove the hive as I had expected. Instead, he sprayed a chemical to kill the bees. When I asked about replacing the vent, he said that was the responsibility of a different department and that someone would follow up. A month later, the vent has still not been replaced. Terminix customer service now claims that vent replacement was not part of the service, despite it being clearly written in my contract, and they refuse to issue a refund. To add to the frustration, I was billed $60 today for a service contract I canceled, and they refuse to credit me, even though no service work has occurred since the initial bee-hive treatment. What a surprise, Joshua won't even extend the courtesy of a phone call to discuss my issue. read more

Had an awful experience with one of their exterminator for last 2 1/2 years and when we entered a complaint, we were ignored and the obnoxious exterminator was never replaced but became intolerable forcing us to terminate our contract. Not sure if Terminex is blind to the safety of their customers but when a complaint is issued a call to the offended customer should have been placed to discuss the situation directly with the offended person...not a single call or any expression of concern. Very poor service. They promised us the moon and made us sign a one year contract. We were told by the sales rep that we can call them anytime we notice a problem in between servicing. After the first service itself we started noticing problems. Called them twice, they gave us an appointment and I stayed home for them, but they never showed up. Once a month is all that they come. They do not even spend more than 10 minutes treating your property but spend half an hour selling you additional products. Absolutely unaccountable company. Makes their field workers work so hard by giving them unreasonable number of houses to visit, but do not care about customer satisfaction. read more

I was refinancing my mortgage and needed a termite certification. Last Monday, a guy came and tried to convince me to sign up for a preventative service. I told him I only wanted to the certificate. He explained that there is a $300 fee, but, he could not do the form. The Senior inspector needed to come and do it. I made the appointment for Thursday. I was to text him when I finished work When I did, he answered by saying he was sick and hoped he would be able to come Monday. I reminded him my closing was scheduled for today(Wednesday). He said he informed his boss. Monday I was told he was still sick. Nobody else could do the inspection and form? I was told yesterday that the manager would use the information from last Monday's walk through. Very late last night the sales rep texted me that he sent me the e sign document, which I never got. He told me to call him this morning, which I did. He never answered. I texted the senior inspector and he called me. At that point, I was forced to leave work at meet him to do another inspection and complete the form. I asked him to email the finished form to the bank, since my closing was in about an hour and a half. I got to the settlement table, no certificate. The bank kept checking, we completed all of the forms and still nothing. I checked my email and it was there. Not where it was supposed be sent and of course late for my settlement. Don't use this company if you are on a deadline. They will not come through for it. read more

We are incredibly dissatisfied with our experience with Terminix. We have spent thousands of dollars on rodent infestation per the expert advice of Terminx. Not only has the rodent infestation become worse, but the Terminx representative never showed to the follow up appointment, never called to cancel or change the appointment, and never called back regarding this missed appointment. Since then, it has become impossible to get a representative to our home, the mouse presence has increased throughout the entire home, and we are incredibly dissatisfied. Terminx does not care about its customers, only about making money -- as they took our $2,000 and never ensured the job was sufficiently completed. read more

We purchased a bait system for termites. Our contract states that the system shall be inspected annually. We have scheduled the bait inspection and the technician has failed to show on three separate occasions. We have not been able to talk to a manager at the local office. If I could pick ZERO Stars I would. I have been a customer since 2009 and recently had a termite issue. I have had the termite protection all this time as well. After FIVE calls to come out and inspect the damage, they have done nothing. Everytime I call, they say they will have a branch manager call me within 2 business days. Then they say it will be elevated and they do nothing. Then "Jim" called me and said he would give me 2 years of the termite protection plan for free if I did not cancel. He said the credit is on my account...BS!!! Then he scheduled someone to come out and of course, they never showed. The issue is they do not want to cover or make good on the termite plan that I paid for and they are waiting for it to expire. A horrendous company, branch and people. DO NOT USE this company! This company is so unreliable. We had our initial service in April and since then (it's July)) we have not had anyone come by. Every time something is scheduled they don't come and it's not put in the system when we call for support. then they'll schedule without telling us and say they're on their way when we aren't available and without talking with us first. We have to leave the house with our two dogs and it takes a lot to coordinate during the work day. I've taken off work for them just to no show. Update: Terminix called after seeing my review and apologized for dropping the ball on my critter situation. They sent an inspector to my house to see how the critter got into the house in the first place. The inspector showed me other areas critters could enter my home and he too apologized for the less than stellar response. This was a great example of how to make best efforts after a customer service disaster. I hope Terminix continues to give good service and remembers to practice great customer service. Technician was a no show to remove a critter from my wall. I have an account with Terminix, for now, and I called and scheduled an appointment to have them come get the loud creature out of the wall. I rescheduled my treatment and everything to be there on time and I was home an hour before they were scheduled to show, and exhausted. When I called to confirm they were coming the rep says, we don't have you on the schedule. She asked if I had an account and sadly I do, they come once a month. Didn't help that I had an account...She said she had a tech in Pottstown, 45 minutes away, great, right? NOPE, the Tech cannot remove the critter, she is not an exterminator. Unbelievable these folks are in business with their expensive ads. What they don't tell you is you need to have a critter in your home M-F, 9 to 5 and hope they remember to come when you make an appointment. I would have been better off calling Domino's and setting a pizza out for the darn critter. read more

I paid over $300 for Terminix to check for termites at my home. The worker planted 8 termite bait traps around the exterior of my home, then left. For an entire year, the worker never returned to check the bait traps. When I complained through the Better Business Bureau, I was told by Terminix that I should have requested the worker to return throughout the year to check the bait traps. This so-called exterminator service is a rip-off. It is not clear that a customer has to request for someone to check the bait traps during the year. 2. What reputable exterminator leaves traps for an entire year, and not check them unless the customer asks? Customers shouldn't have to ask for a worker to check bait traps throughout the year. Terminix is too inept and cheap to have workers follow up. I could have bought the traps and stuck them in the ground myself and check them for a lot less than $360. 3. What reputable exterminator leaves 4 inch diameter, 6 inch deep holes throughout a customer's yard without refilling them, and still charge over $300? Terminix stated that I canceled my subscription so they didn't have the opportunity to check the bait traps. That is a lie. I wouldn't cancel so close to end of the year-long contract. Besides, Terminix would have charged me $90 to cancel. I was a few weeks away from the end of the service contract, so I called to tell them not to renew my contract for another year. This company is an expensive ripoff and the public should be forewarned. read more

Terminix opened a fraudulent, duplicate service account on my property without my knowledge or permission. It took months to get it sorted out over the phone. You will never be connected with your local branch, even if you ask directly for names and phone numbers. Their agents repeatedly admitted that this account should not have been opened and they didn't know how it happened. They finally closed the account and issued a refund but they continue to send me bills that increase every month, along with letters threatening to report me to the credit bureaus for not not paying their fraudulent bills. I cancelled my original contract with them because this has been a total nightmare. I'm getting multiple bills and warning letters each week now. They sent ANOTHER request to this person and supposedly the supervisor, and he/she was supposed to reply in 48 hours. It's 96 hours and nothing. This entire issues has been going on since beginning of August. It's time to call the BBB and find their headquarters. I just wanted my money returned ($600+). Very unhappy with Terminix. Was a quarterly customer and was satisfied for the first two quarters. Then, my technician was a no show 6 times in a row! Two weeks ago I called, spoke to a customer service rep, and was told someone would be getting in touch with me by the next day to set up an appointment. Nobody ever called. I then sent an email asking for someone to please get in touch with me to discuss the issue and to be refunded for a quarter that I never received service for (5+ months). Had my first visit with Terminix after moving into a new house and they set mouse traps on 5/17, it is now 6/8 and the smell of dead mice is all over my house. I called customer service about this, and about bees and ants (put tickets in on 2 different occasions) no call no show!!! Oh and when the Manager from Levittown finally called me after I requested it numerous times for a call, he hung up on me after I told him I wanted to cancel my membership. I told him that I used to use Green Pest Soloutions and he said "Oh I used to work there, now I am here." Lovely customer Service!! Called support and talked to Paul, and wanted to cancel my contract, they told me I would have to pay $1370.16 in an early cancellation fee AFTER paying them up front of $1900. This early term fee is above and beyond what I paid. Advice... Don't pay up front and don't sign a contract on the spot.. READ IT ( OH BTW, I never got a copy of my contract because the sales guy had a ipad and was unable to print me one, so he said he would email it.. still waiting). This is a scam! I threw out the dead mice myself, removed the behive from one of my interior doors and sprayed for ants because I can get NO SERVICE FOR $1900!!!! Scheduled an appointment for this morning for someone to remove bees. A $300 per payment was required. Technician was a no show. After several phone calls with Terminix and one with our credit card company we are hoping we won't be billed for service not provided. Definitely would not recommend! The service and my experience with Terminix has been horrible. I was referred to them by someone I know because of what I expected was a squirrel problem. I contacted them and a young lady by the name of Shyloe came out to do an initial inspection. She claim that there was some activity in my attic and Terminix had what's called an Inclusion service that would do a number of things to address this issue. She said two technicians would come back and thoroughly inspect and if needed block entry ways and access to my attic and lay traps. This service cost about $1500 and included a full year service as needed. I paid up front but was told they would only bill me after the two technicians came back and did the work. One technician showed up another day and he went into my attic. After his inspection he said he didn't see what Shyloe indicated and said I didn't need the full inclusion service. He laid a few traps for mice and left. Terminix billed my account $1500. I called Shyloe and voiced my complaint about the discrepancy. She advised that if I didn't need the inclusion they would refund me. Another rep came to my house but didn't have the equipment and left. I called again to complain and they scheduled another rep another day who never showed up. Now nobody is responding and they have my $1500 for simply laying a few mouse traps. I would appreciate someone from Terminix to get in touch with me asap and refund me my $1500. I'm at the point that I prefer to no longer do business with them. read more

I would pick 0 stars if I could. Whatever you do avoid this company. I have been a customer for almost 4 years. When I signed up for the service I was required to do automatic monthly payments for the service. I mistakenly allowed these payments to come from my bank account. They eventually withdrew thousands of dollars from my account. They have nothing that I would pay thousands of dollars for. When I alerted them they told me it didn't happen and it must be someone else. I provided my bank statement which shows the deduction was from them and they said someone must have entered a wrong number and that I just needed to contact the branch manager to have my money returned, I heard nothing - after continuous calls, instant chats, and emails I am still waiting to have my money returned to me. No one will even call me back but when I call them I'm sent to the branch manager again and told I would have my money returned, I am still waiting to hear from someone about this. I am still trying to get my money and will likely have to take legal action. Learn from my mistake and stay away from this place! read more

We were looking to have preventative treatments done on our home and the inspector added a service we clearly stated we didn't want. We finally got a hold of the branch manager Kenneth Johnson, who over talked us, clearly stated he could resolve our issue BUT wasn't going to. This company is absolutely horrible. Steer clear. I've had a termite contract with Terminix for three years. They installed bait stations outside of my property at the onset of the contract. Every year they come out to inspect the bait stations and refill if necessary. Some of my bait stations are inside of a locked courtyard at the property. I schedule all appointments for when I am home so that I can let the technician into the courtyard. At my first annual inspection appointment, the technician apparently showed up and inspected the bait stations outside of the courtyard. I was home, yet the technician did not let me know he was there so I could open the courtyard. I received an email with a report hours later. I have 6 bait stations total-- 2 in the courtyard and 4 outside of the courtyard. The report indicated that the technician had inspected ONLY TWO OF THE SIX bait stations. The service cost $1,250 initially and the contract costs $300 per year. I've given over $1,500 to this company. What am I paying for? The technicians don't know or don't care where the bait stations are. I was furious, but figured this had to be a one-off bad experience. I had another tech come out and inspect the remaining bait stations. A few weeks ago, I had my second annual inspection. Again, I scheduled the appointment during a time I would be home. This time I even called customer service and very clearly communicated that the technician needed to call me to gain access to the bait stations in the courtyard. I never heard form the tech and then received an email stating that the inspection was complete. The report indicated that the tech had inspected ONLY THREE OF THE SIX bait stations. I ran outside and the tech was still sitting in his truck. I dragged him back to the property and had him inspect the other bait stations. He actually needed to replace the bait in the two stations in the courtyard. When he re-installed the bait station, he didn't even install them correctly. They're supposed to be completely submerged in the soil, yet when he reinstalled them they are now sitting about 4 inches above ground. I am furious with this company. In April, I signed up for the termite monitoring and service along with pest control. They mentioned that the bait stations for termites were out of stock and they would be back to install. They never contacted me to install so after being patient I started contacting their customer service in August. Each time I called customer service they told me they would reach out to the branch to contact me. The branch never called. I called customer service 8 times through August, September, and the beginning of October with absolutely no help. Finally, the branch manger emailed me and said they apologize that this took so long and would refund me. I received one of the charges back but not the second that they approved. Additionally, the branch manager told me the would terminate my service with NO charges. However, after checking my credit card statement today I found that they charged me for the monthly serve and a random $600 charge. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I am picking 1 star because it will not allow me to not pick a star. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TERMINIX AT ALL!!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ORKIN! I had a horrible experience with Terminix. I was experiencing an infestation of carpenter ants. I called Terminix and was able to set up an appointment relatively quickly and all seemed well. They confirmed the appointment and a day prior to the scheduled appointment, they canceled! I called back and was stuck on an automated system on hold waiting for a representative for 30 minutes before I was told to call back later and disconnected. I called back later, waited 30 minutes on the automated system, and was again told to call back and was disconnected. When I finally was in touch with someone, we rescheduled the appointment, and two hours before the scheduled visit I received a text canceling the appointment!! When I called back, went through the automated system issues, I was told that they could not see me for almost two weeks! At this point, I went to Orkin. Orkin was amazing... I set up an appointment quickly and easily, they showed up on time, were extremely informative and I will be using Orkin as my pest control company. I am shocked that Terminix has been in business for as long as it has with such poor customer service and an obvious lack of care, lack of communication, and lack of professionalism. There is no way to speak to an employee at the branch directly since everything is handled through the call center. They have additional broken appointments without notification and rescheduled appointments without notification.
