@Terminix -- for the SECOND time, your technician left our gate open after service, and our dog got out. The first time, all three of our Rottweilers got loose. This time, thankfully, it was only one -- but that doesn't make it okay. And this time? There was no effort at all to secure the gate. It was left wide open. We have cameras, and the entire incident was recorded. We have clear signage on every gate and entrance stating that we have Rottweilers on the property -- there is absolutely no excuse for this. We have THREE Rottweilers. This is not a small mistake. This is a serious safety issue. We are extremely fortunate that we've invested time and money into training, because she didn't go anywhere. But let's be very clear: The dog that got out this time is NOT dog friendly There are people walking their dogs in our neighborhood constantly There is even another Rottweiler nearby that is also not dog friendly This could have ended VERY differently. My husband wanted to give you a third chance. After thinking about it, I absolutely do NOT. You don't get a third chance when it comes to the safety of our dogs, our neighbors, or anyone else. This is completely unacceptable and negligent. We trusted you to service our property -- not to create a dangerous situation. You have lost our business -- not only at our home, but at our other properties as well. We will NEVER recommend you to anyone. read more

Very over priced, poor quality and incomplete job. Told one thing over the phone when we made the appointment then once they arrive the technician says they do not do the service we had inquired about and explicitly asked about on the phone call. Called the office after the technician left and was told "I was also under the impression we do that" by their employee, who also seemed confused about why they didn't. I had them come to my house and provide me with a quote. They quoted me with a high quote, but I was not interested in the service that quote was for. They then offered a lower price option that I was interested in, they said that was fine and promised to send the quotes via email. I waited, but only received the $800 quote they had initially given me. I called to ask about the lower quote, and they told me they didn't have it and advised me to call back so they could contact the inspector. I feel like they wasted my time, and I'm relieved they showed their true colors before I decided to do business with them. read more

It's extremely overpriced for what they came to do... from the beginning we continued calling back after each spray, since we kept seeing more spiders and other bugs crawl out in our front and backyard. The only bugs that did stop coming back were the ants. We had them for 2 years, we recently even asked the tech to spray the crawl space and he said they didn't do that, we called their corporate office and the op. Actually said that they are supposed to do it. They apparently only have one tech for the sparks area and other(s) for the Reno are because when we would ask to send someone else, they continued to send the same person and apparently if you add notes on your service request in you online account, they don't bother reading them or they just read parts of it..... we finally had it and cancelled their service since once again they couldn't find anyone else to service our home read more

I work with Veterans and VA home loans. I have scheduled appointment with Terminix on multiple occasions, mainly only if I have no other choice. They have never gotten the job right in the 20 times or so I have been forced to use their services for clients. The routinely will not show up for appointments that were scheduled, they do not sent you the reports when they are completed, do not provide the required signatures with the report and then try to charge the clients thousands of dollars for unneeded services. I even had an instance where they sent in the report saying the client did not have Termites but then tried to charge them $2,000 for Termite service. Then when there is a problem, you cannot call the Inspector or the local branch to get a problem resolved. You HAVE to call the 800 number, there is no other option, and the call center, of course, has absolutely no idea what is happening and NEVER, literally NEVER gets the problem resolved. You will have to call at least 5 times and speak to a supervisor to get even the smallest problem rectified. You are better off using any local service or any other company, period. Do not waste your time or money. I would get them 0 stars rating if it was possible. read more

Update to my review. Three weeks ago we heard noises in our attic and called my contracted pest control company, Terminix, to have it checked out. May 4th, Adrian came out and checked the attic and found some areas where something could have gotten in. It was a hot day, so he said he'd be back on Saturday, early before the attic heated up to further check it out. Saturday came and went with no call and no Adrian. The next Saturday came and went with no call, as well. I called Adrian early the next week and we decided he'd arrange for an inspection to discover access points where our mysterious attic visitor might be entering. Long story short, no appointment was ever made. I finally called and set an appointment for May 24th between 8-10 am. This time Terminix employee Sean was a no show. I called Terminix and got apologies and a new appointment of May 25th from 3-5pm. Guess what? Another no show! No call even after I called and left Sean a message. My advice is to find a reputable, dependable, customer focused pest control business and avoid Terminix. One star is one star more than they deserve. read more

THE WORST PEST CONTROL COMPANY! I ordered an elm beetle spray because as we all know when the trees start blooming those beetles come out. I somehow got roped into a quarterly spray for these beetles which is completely unnecessary, since it's only needed once a year! I got a big bill and I'm furious that I got tricked into this contract. I will only use local pest control from now on, this is one more reason to use local. Called Terminix to deal with an ant issue. This was very important as I has a roommate who was threatening to move out if the ants in his room were not dealt with. I informed them of the importance beforehand, and the tech who who'd up the next day. Fir a "professional" the guy seemed a bit clueless, but being my first time dealing with this issue, I let a lot slide. He kept forgetting about all the areas I had mentioned needed treatment and I had to remind him 3 times to take care of certain areas or tasks. I had paid for a package that guaranteed their work for 3 months, and less than a week later, I started noticing anta again in 3 different areas of the kitchen. I called them and let them know and the earliest they could schedule me was 4 days out. I was very nervous because I didn't want my roommate to notice the ants and take issue, thinking I had not taken care of the pest control promissed. Come the day I'm scheduled (which was done robotically and not with a human), and I'm at home ALL DAY. I called to double check what time the tech would be out and a recorded message said between 4-5PM. I waited and waited, and come 5:30, I gave them a call asking where the tech was, as usual, it's impossible to reach the local office and was routed to to India to deal with a problem that should have been resolved already. The operator told me the tech had come by at 3pm. Mind you I was home ALL DAY. I told him about the urgency of fixing this and he said he would have someone from the local branch reach out to me, as the earliest they had avaialable was 2 days out. I said fine and waited for my call. Come the next day, it's 2:15pm, I've been home ALL DAY again, and no call or contact of any kind. I called them up at 2:30 and the operator in India tells me they can schedule me 10 days out. I asked to speak to a supervisor (who was also not located in the local office), and when she said she couldn't help or even contact the local office, I was done. Absolutely terrible service. Wish I had checked Yelp earlier (and seen they had only 2 stars) before booking them and wasting all this time. Trying Orkin, who answered their phone personally at the local office and were able to schedule me for the next morning within 2 hours of closing time. Also got a better rate. Hopefully that goes better. Wish I could rate Zero Stars. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received. Called and made the initial appointment, even received a confirmation email. When that day came, nobody showed and when I called they told me my appointment was a completely different day. So after MONTHS of back and forth, I requested their money back guarantee. I was not happy. The guy kept saying he came out, but I work at home, I'm HERE. He'd have to walk in front of me and I'd see him. He wasn't here. Yet they still charged me. I said EVERY VISIT, he must come IN THE HOUSE. Nope, didn't show, but was charged. The central billing office doesn't care. It's impossible to get to the local office for resolution, and now they sent the bill to collections despite the fact that I had NO SERVICE for which the bill was fraudulently charged. So, the guy came out. He didn't inspect the inside of my house at all. I told him I had a mouse problem and he said they were probably old feces I was seeing, and did not put any traps inside or outside. He said he sprayed outside, but there are more bugs than ever, inside and outside. They also tried to schedule another service without telling me inbetween the recommended services. Once I got to the cancellation department, I was finally able to cancel the year long contract that they suckered me into signing, but still have an outstanding balance that I am refusing to pay. After 8 years as a Terminix pest customer, we were going to use them to tent our house for termites. When they brought the paperwork for us to sign, they included a waiver that releases them from any damage to our roof. while tenting the house The branch manager explained that the waiver releases them from "normal" damage, but they'd cover any damage "from negligence." Huh? What's "normal" damage? We said we wouldn't sign the waiver. On the morning they were supposed to come, they didn't show. We had to call them to find out they no-showed because we wouldn't sign the waiver. We already booked the hotel, found homes for the pets, and bagged all of our food... If we can't agree about the waiver, that's cool - but they should've told us that they weren't coming. So unprofessional... read more

THE WORST service in the history of customer service. It is a shame that this is a national company because one poorly functioning branch will go unpunished from a giant corporate business. I called the local number listed for the Terminix in Reno and was re-directed to a national scheduling telephone agent who assured me I could be seen the next day between 1 and 5pm. Today I called at 2pm and the telephone agent told me that "sadly the local branch canceled your appointment." I should have read the other yelp reviews before making the appointment in the first place. It turns out the local office cancels and ignores everyone without giving notice. How are we supposed to have any assurance when we aren't even notified of a cancellation? Dear Lord! One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in all my years in office management. I've been calling for a monthly service quote for a commercial building. Waited on hold while listening to flying bugs for 45 min. Left my number. Told the representative what I needed. Miraculously a technician showed up to the site and did a service that I did not request until I got the service quote. Called back to see what the deal was. Customer service could not understand what I was explaining. Put me on hold AGAIN to supposedly call the technician. 35 minutes later another customer service employee picked up with no clue. Started all over again. He said I'll have to put you over to commercial services. Waited, waited. I finally hung up. Used their website today to have our company's email contact changed as it would not let me update. Response was a customer service rep would call or email me. Not happening. Jay and his team were great to us! We had a single family room infestation of bed bugs in our master bedroom. We first called clark (big mistake!) and they told us it would be over 2,000 dollars to treat! My wife called terminix, and Jay came out the same day and scheduled treatment for 1500 dollars LESS! They have been here twice, and made sure we were good to go and bed bug free! They have treated us with respect and always answered our calls for help (in the midst of a study session (around 7 pm) for psychology, my wife found one in her book. Crying and upset she called Jay, and he assured her he would get it taken care of, and he'd send someone out the next day). Very professional, kind, and always on time or even a couple hours early, I would definitely recommend Jay and his team for any of your pest control needs! :) read more

Canceled Terminix this evening. Asked that a technician come to the house to deal with an ant issue. Upon arrival, the technician left the fence gate open and our dog of course, bolted and ran. The technician acted like it was no big deal. Didn't even say he was sorry. Called their customer service line, after 3 different customer service reps, they mentioned in a patronizing fashion they were sorry but offered no other comments or concerns after they processed my request for cancelation. This company has THE WORST customer service. Had an inspection scheduled this morning "between 8-10am" and no one showed up or called. I had to call their customer service reps in Vegas. The first woman was exceptionally rude and didn't seem to care that their representative wasn't doing his job. We rescheduled for this afternoon "between 3-5pm". Again, no call no show... and I've been on hold with their customer service reps, again, for the past 15 minutes and counting. I called Sunday, July 23rd and scheduled service for Tuesday, July 24th from 1-4pm. I called on Tuesday at 1:45pm to let them know we would be going out of town at 3:30 and would like to reschedule if they couldn't make it to the house by 3pm. The guy told me our appointment was from 3-5. I said, "I don't know how your system shows 3-5, I was told it was 1-4pm when I made the appointment on Sunday, but that's ok we can reschedule if we need to." They put me on hold and called the technician. They came back to the phone and said the tech would be there between 2-3pm. I had my 17 year old son sit at home and wait for them from 1-3:30 and they NEVER SHOWED UP! When I called this morning to tell them no-one ever showed up, there was no apology or anything. They asked when I wanted to reschedule so I told them not to worry about it and that I would call another company who wouldn't no call no show. They may be cheap, but their customer service sucks! Oh and they quoted me $219 for the initial service until I said I would have to call around and get some other prices. Then they lower it to $169. Funny how the price can go down $50 in seconds. They were perfectly content price gouging me until I said I was going to shop around. read more

We have used terminex for about 10 years now to have our house sprayed every 3 months! I think we are considered pretty loyal customers! we also really like our routine quarterly service guy! But In the last year we have needed them to come out 2 different times outside our 3 month contract (which is supposedly included if you need them at no extra cost) .. on both occasions I had to call SEVERAL times to get any response at all and to get them out to your house.. ha.. Good luck! Corporate blames local guys and local guys blame coorpate! They are so disorganized no one knows what's going on or who is supposed to be where! One of the managers promised extra treatment to our home if I wouldn't write a bad review! He canceled the first and appointment and he has never followed through nor has he contacted me back! STAY AWAY, These guys told us we had bed bugs and that a house my kids had spent the night at several times also had bed bugs. We got a second opinion from another company and the bugs found at both houses were carpet beetles. They wanted almost $1,000 each to treat for bed bugs that are not there. The guys caused two families severe stress and anguish so they could make a fast buck. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! I will be reporting them to the authorities! read more

Are there negative stars? Asked for a VA required termite inspection. Got an offer to "pass" if I signed up for a $650 service, which I don't need. This is FRAUD. Written copy says I pass, electronic copy says there are pests present. Which is it? Can't get anyone on the phone to clarify. Reversing charges (thank you Discover Card), reporting fraud to the VA and BBB. I can't imagine a worse customer service system anywhere. read more
