I have been a Terminix customer for more than seven years and paid for ongoing termite protection. When they offered me a "free inspection," they used the visit to sell me attic insulation. During the insulation installation, a Terminix technician stepped between the attic beams and directly onto the drywall ceiling above my garage, causing it to crack. Terminix initially told me they would investigate and address the damage. Instead, I have spent the past couple of months being ignored, with no meaningful follow-up and no resolution. Mistakes can happen. What is unacceptable is damaging a customer's home and then refusing to take responsibility or even communicate. A company's true character is shown by how it responds when something goes wrong, and Terminix has completely failed that test. After more than seven years as a loyal customer, I expected Terminix to stand behind its employees and its work. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that homeowners think twice before allowing this company into their homes. read more

I would like to add my 1 star review for this business. I live in a duplex and my neighbor made arrangements for a needed termite tenting. With tenting the occupants need to leave the premises for a minimum of 3 days. I was gone for 5 days. Before I left I left a note in English, Spanish and Creole to ask the workers to turn off the water to the house when they were finished. When I came back someone had used the toilet and the water was running. It had been running continuously for at least 2 days. They opened the windows to air it out but left the AC running. Again, assumedly for days. They killed my plants, tore up my shade and shored off many sprinkler heads. For some reason the Fridge was turned off. All my food in the freezer had defrosted and was refrozen. Fortunately we figured it out before anyone ate it. So, threw out a full freezer and refrigerator full of food. There's more, these are just the highlights. I texted and called and got no response except some exasperated sounding woman called and said she couldn't talk to me since the contract wasn't in my name. I pointed out they had no problem cashing my check. Part of my complaint is the financial but part of it is the disrespect of my property and getting no response from the business. read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. Terminix came out on May 1st to set traps in our attic for possible rats after I heard scratching. They came out and upsold us on pest control and termite bait stations and tried to upsell us on replacing our attic insulation with some pest control insulation? Luckily, we weren't dumb enough to go for the insulation. We were dumb enough to let them set the rodent traps and paid for a year of bait stations. They haven't been back to check the rodent traps despite us calling, texting and using their online portal thing to request a technician to come out. We were originally told they would be out every few days to check the traps until they were no longer catching anything. It's now May 18th and they haven't been out once. We've called corporate who said they'd escalate, I've messaged with their social media team who said they'd escalate and still I sit here with unchecked traps. We also noticed a few dead termites inside our house after the bait stations were set, we reached out about those too and no response. We tried to cancel our service since Terminix breached our contract by not checking the traps and they said they would charge us $1900 for ending the termite contract early and would send us to collections if we didn't pay. They breached the contract and they want to charge us? DO NOT USE TERMINIX UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! We had been with Terminix for several years. We had an excellent technician who did a great job. Recently we started to see more and more bugs and despite rework the bugs still persist. We became so frustrated we cancelled the service just a few days after the November service. It is now 5 weeks after the service date, upon calling today to demand a refund for our frustration, the supervisor of Customer Service VERY RUDELY refused to try to make it right, nor refund the money for the poor application. The supervisor IS NOT a credit to the Terminix Brand and lastly, Terminix is doing NOTHING to address the problem. If there was an option for NEGETIVE stars, that would be the one I'd choose! This company is terrible. I discovered dry wood termites un my kitchen cabinets about 6 months ago. I called several providers, and while Ter.inix was BY FAR the most expensive, Christian, the sales manager (his dumb ass will come up again later in this story) sold me on the fact that thier service is "bonded", and they come out as many times as needed. He gave me his cell as a contact, should I need service in the future. Well, low and behold, the first treatment was ineffective, so I texted Christian for a follow up appointment. I also inquired as to why I was being billed double for the service, as I was receiving a monthly bill from Terminix AND from thier financing company, SMAC. He told me he would follow up. Needless to say, that never happened. I tried to call and text, and he just disappeared. In the mean time, the termites continue to devour my cabinets. Eventually I stopped paying my bill. As they say, NO TICKY, NO SHIRTY"! I called thier customer service number several times, and each time, the customer service agent told me they would escalate the claim, and that I would receive a call bCk within 48 hours. Three separate calls and I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM A MANAGER...all while termites continue to chew! The last agent I spoke to really seed to give a shit, and she gave me her email to send my documentation. I sent her a dozen pictures of my damaged cabinets, piles of termite debris, and a letter requesting thar they resolve this issue for me, since it was clearly thier negligence that created the situation. And guess how they "handled" thier negligence... They CANCELLED MY CONTRACT!!! Seriously??? No call back from management? No attempt to reconcile an account they had clearly FUCKED UP!!??? When you call for a follow-up service since the first service (or first 7 service) doesn't work, they tell you someone will get back to you in 24 -48 business hours, Then no one ever gets back to you, so you check the website account and there's an appointment scheduled, but no one informed me of the appointment date/time. I am a real estate agent, and I cannot believe what Terminix has put my Clients through after being loyal customers since 1994. We are Under Contract to Close on the sale of their home in a few days with a VA loan. The inspector saw signs of termite wings and droppings. My Sellers called Terminix to come out to assess the situation. They told the first guy that came out, Danny Hill, that the wings needed to be cleaned up before fumigation in order for us to get a clean bill of health. Danny told them that he would have it taken care of and scheduled the appointment. The tech came out, refused to clean up the wings, stating that they don't do detail work, and said that the fogger would blow them away. Meaning they would be blown all over the attic? He left without doing the job. We called customer service. They were appalled, made notes for the tech to bring a shopvac and rescheduled the appointment. Danny Hill came back out. He said that he heard us request that they cleaned up the wings but never said that they would actually do it so he again, didn't do the treatment. We called customer service again. Again, they said that they would take care of it. Then a manager got on a call with us and told us that they don't do that type of work, that the first guy was new and didn't know what he was talking about. Apparently, no one knows what they are talking about at this company. They have now no showed several times and are holding up the Closing of their home. They have lied, run us in circles and made it VERY clear that they DO NOT care about their customers. We have spoken to John the Sales Manager several times which has gotten us nowhere. We were told that we would get a call from Kyle, the Branch Manager but so far, no return call. I will no longer be recommending Terminix to my friends and Clients. We have had an issue for over the past year with palm rats in attic , after several thousand dollars to alleviate it, the problem continues, and when you call about dead ones in traps, they can't get there for days. Response from the local "managers" David Elliott or Les Wattenberg can't seem to return a call or manage the correct specialist to handle the problem. At best a poorly run and mismanaged office. DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH!!! I originally met with Christian Cuesta for termite service. I purchased in-ground control ($2,500) and fumigation tent ($2,500). Also paid for attic insulation replacement ($2,500). The day of the fumigation the crew showed up and left without letting me know. It was only because a neighbor called me to tell me. I was dragged out for WEEKS by Christian him trying to sell me more services (after having contracted $7,500 already) and then the phone went silent. He blamed the "fume manager" quitting, then stopped answering calls/texts/emails. I must have called the office 10 times, was told Dave the manager and then "Les" the branch manager would call and nothing. It was escalated to Regional, and no one called either. They had cancelled the tenting but never refunded my money until 2 months later!!! I could not move the tenant in and lost $4k in rent and looking into legal action. do not do buisness with terminix !!!! they do not obey contract i signed a contract on 8/05/23 for a service of around 2700 which included a downpayment of 1k. ( i gave bank account info). so i only had roughly around 1700$ left for finance. after the service was done 8/26-8/28 they deduct 1000 from my bank and left me oweing my bank. so why ask for a downpayment on augest 8 and wait till augest 29 to take funds!!!!!!! nowere on the contract has it stated that downpayments are to be held till after service . nor has a representative of terminix stated . if that was the case i would of just financed the whole 2700$. also they lied about the first payment due . on the contract it stated for first payment on september 4 and that tell me it starts in october instead. wtfffff! thank you for leaveing me broke when my bills are due and thank you for the miscommunication i will never recommend this buisness to anyone read more

have had a termite contract with Terminix for more than 10 years. I finally moved onto another company and they found the home riddled with termites. Damage that has been going on for years, but I thought because we paid for a contract that TERMINIX would honor the contract and inspect the whole premises. We have an automatic gate so they cannot get in without prior call to home minder. They have his number, but dont call. They dont arrange prior access...just get to the gate and go away with zero inspection. Also their agressive billing policy is a no no. Get three letters a week with latest invoice. I am only saying this . I dont want their feedback, I am moving on to a company who does the work they are paid to do. If you think well known has to be good, change your mind on this one. read more

Don't Waste Your Money! They schedule you for service and don't adhere to the schedule since they were in the area and decided to come on a day and time of their choosing. And if you refuse the service call, they still charge you full price, without apology for the inconvenience they caused. This past holiday the tech left a message late friday afternoon on my machine for a 8:30 am apt. monday. We were out of town for the weekend and the tech shows up and I refused the apt as people were still asleep in the house. When I called customer service they said according to company policy, appointments are scheduled a day in advance so "technically the service tech was right. They withdrew the full service call amount from my checking account and I would have to pay full price for another appointment to get my home serviced on a different date. Do NOT use this company. I would give negative stars if possible. My family and I have had a terrible experience. We discovered we had bed bugs in our house and called Terminix to treat it. The tech suggested tenting and fumigation to make sure the bed bugs were completely eliminated. We agreed and he gave us an appt 3 weeks away. The day of the tenting the crew shows up and they say due to the roof being too steep they would not be doing the tenting that day. They said they would come back the next day with a crane to finish the job. They did not show up the next day nor did anyone tell me what was going on. My family and I were staying at a hotel at this point over 20 miles away. Since they didn't do the job on either day, I've tried reaching out to them to find out what's going on and the only person that has responded to me was the tech and he didn't know what was going on either. He let me know he had put in a request for them to call me but would be fired if he gave out supervisors or managers phone numbers. On the following Monday, a full 6 days after the tenting was supposed to happen the tech said he had to talked to his supervisor and they were only going to offer me a credit for the hotel and a future date of July 1st. A full 10 days away at that time and still charge me full price for the tenting and I'd still have to pay for another hotel. I have a number of animals (goats, chickens and a cockatoo) that live outside on my property and I had to go back each day to give them food and water. They offered nothing in regards to the inconvenience of having to drive 20 miles each way (there are no hotels close to my house) to get back to my house to take care of them and basically wasted 3 nights at a hotel for nothing. No tenting or fumigation and I still have bed bugs. Terminix management has made no effort to contact me directly and have made it impossible to get ahold of them. read more

The worst! Had termite inspection. Inspector said I had dry wood termites in the attic. Terminix would treat at a special reduced price of $1,296. I agreed. Next day I remembered the inspector was the same guy who tried to sell me attic insulation last year that FPL said I did not need. I cancelled the scheduled service and called two other pest control companies. Neither company found any evidence of current dry wood termites in my attic. This company is horrible, beware of doing business with them. They put termite bate stations on my property last year. The salesman that was her selling us the termite prevention told us the bate has to be replaced yearly. I called to cancel my regular service and the dry wood termite service as we were not happy with the service. They cancelled our bate station refill service and stated they would come get the bate stations as well. We were not told that the are the property of terminex and if we cancelled service (which we did not) that they take the bate stations out of your ground and leave holes all over your property. They cancelled the service and would not reinstate the contract. They contacted me by phone for payment for the bate stations and it had not been done. They don't refund money so be careful they are fraud and will steal your money. I attempted to call them and u can never get anyone on the phone they are supposedly too busy to answer. U leave a message and they say they will contact u back 1 time. They call u the next day let it ring one time and if u don't get it on the first call your shit out of luck. I would give this company minus stars if I could. I wish I had read these reviews before spending $800 plus for attic treatment of about 10 minutes and under the house treatment of about 10 minutes. The terms of the contract we signed were not honored and we did not receive a copy of the contract until almost a month after signing when it was far past the 3 days to reconsider. I wrote corporate headquarters, but never got a response, not even a form letter. I considered filing a small claim, but the filing fee is $175. Please beware: On June 2nd, 2016, Terminix representative Andrew East did a walk through of our property and gave us a quote for termite fumigation. We signed a contract and paid in full on June 13th. The check was promptly deposited in a Terminix bank account. He told us the tenting would start on the 20th. We rented a home for us and our dogs, boarded our cats and birds, trimmed the Banyan tree out front and cut the landscape around our house to accommodate the tent. Mr. East never again answered our calls. Another representative , Mr. Mosier came by on June 27th, checked our prep work and gave us July 8th though the 11th for the fumigation to take place. Then on the 29th he called, stating that Mr. East did not work for them anymore and that he wanted more money than previously agreed in the contract. When we questioned him, he said he just had canceled our agreement and that we were going to get our money back when corporate decided to refund us. We made several phone calls to corporate, the second call was over an hour long. They said the branch manager was going to call us to track our refund and apologize for all the inconvenience, it never happened. We finally received our money back on July 19th, after we had decided to contact an attorney. This company really kept us on edge for a month, didn't honor a signed contract and completely ignored all the anguish they put us through. We lost the initial deposit we had put down to hold the rental home and had to paid twice for the special landscaping, but that was nothing compared to the uncertainty and stress that we had to endure for so long, particularly while recovering myself from abdominal surgery. The Terminix home inspector found dry wood termites. He explained to me that they would apply a spot treatment as well as treat the entire attic. He took my credit card info and had me sign several signature boxes on his tablet and told me the agreement would be emailed to me. 3 days later, the technician arrived to perform the treatment. I told him I hadn't received the contract yet & he told me it would be emailed later. I asked him to confirm that the entire attic would be treated and he assured me it would. After he left, I received a document that said "Local or spot treatment only", and that the area treated was only 2 feet x 2 feet. I placed multiple calls to Terminix customer service requesting a written document confirming that the entire attic was treated. They gave me verbal assurances that this was done but never provided me with any proof. I was charged $1344.00 for a 2x2 foot termite treatment. They deliberately concealed the details of the service agreement from me until it was done and they had charged my credit card. It's nearly a month later, and they won't return my calls or provide me with the documentation I asked for. This company is fraudulent. Don't hire them! read more

Horrible experience with this company! I bought a house that had a contract on the house, the previous owners said they had the contract for ten years, at a $100. a year renewal fee and just had the house tented fours months before I bought it. Before my closing Terminix told me I had to pay $200. to transfer the contract to my name before the closing. A few months later I had work done on the house and the builder working said you have serious termite damage, I asked if this is recent damage and he said no this was over a course of a few years! I called Terminix, and explained about the damage and and it was from the time frame the previous owners had the house and contract, they said that the contract was transfered to my name and the previous owner had to report the damage before transfer! A few years later, I noticed the tail tale signs the house had an active termite issue, little piles of dropping, and shiny wings left on top of window sill and frame. I called Terminix and they sent a young gentleman out that said he was an inspector, I showed him the droppings and wings, he actually had to call his office and ask them questions, they told him to ask for and envelope and put the wings and dropping in. I called Terminal back and they said it was not termites! I asked them to re inspect and treat the issue, they ignored my call, and never called back. Funny thing when I was at the end of the contract time, they were calling me to renew my contract and the amount that went up to $368.00 a year! That's triple the original contract! May 17, 2017, I sat with a Terminix technician, from the WPB, Florida Mango location prior to having some residential termite work done. They verbally went over the entire process with me. They stated they would also be going "UP INTO THE ATTIC" to spray some of the wooden beams and because of this extra process the total job would take "SEVERAL HOURS" to complete. I signed an electronic pad and they charged my credit card $800. They did not show me physical copies of the agreement since it would be sent to me electronically. The day of the process, I received a text at 11:40 am saying they were on the way to the home. At 12:52 pm I received another text saying the job was completed. A family member who was at the house said all they did was treat a "3 FOOT AREA" by puncturing three small holes into the ceiling, sprayed through the holes, then added foam, sealed the holes and sprayed around the base board area. From the time they walked into the house and began setting up, to the time they left was less than half hour. It did not take SEVERAL HOURS, as the tech claimed and they did not "GO UP INTO THE ATTIC", as they said they would do. THIS JOB DOES NOT COST $800 DOLLARS. As if that's not bad enough, this job was done in a 55 and up community, "a senior community", my mom is in her 70's, and I help her with expenses. I let them talk me into a yearly renewal inspection "Treatment" at sign-in thinking this was a good idea and they charged my card $50 dollars. I have called Terminix regarding the issue a few times, only to be put into people's voice mails. I have not yet received a call back from anyone. I have turned the matter over to the BBB in the WPB area. I want part of the money for the portion they did not perform refunded, and I want to terminate the renewal as they are not an honest company to do business with. My technician, Gary, is always on time and goes above and beyond for the monthly mosquito service. He will take down wasp nests that are just propping up without me finding and is so sweet to my two dogs who just adore him. I would recommend Terminix to everyone. Their mosquito bait this season is fantastic. I cook outside every evening and haven't seen any mosquitoes this entire summer. And I am freaked out by bugs coming from California originally Texas is full of them but not on my property because of Terminix and Gary my technician. read more

I met with the Terminix inspector, we made the deal, he spoke with the technician in front of me and confirmed arrival at my house at 1PM, we were supposed to leave the house for 3-4 hours after treatment, I arranged for my elderly mother to be picked up at 1PM and brought back to the house at 5PM (allowing the necessary time). However, no one showed up at my house at 1:00PM, I called the 800 number, I was transferred to the office near my residence, spoke to a supervisor (Dennis) who claimed that all appointment are made within a 3 hour window, meaning someone will be at my house between 1pm and 4pm, I reminded him that the inspector spoke with the technician in front of me and it was confirmed that the technician will arrive at 1pm (I was there next to the inspector when he repeated "You will be here at 1PM?" and the inspector nudged his head confirming the time, but Mr. Dennis refused to accept this explanation and he said that he will have the inspector call me. I received a call from the inspector soon after, and when I reminded him of his confirmation to me, he was speechless and apologized, I asked him to cancel the service and refund my money since I don't have a way of keeping my elderly mother outside of the house past 5pm, the inspector then asked to call me back in 5 minutes, he called back, and said that someone will be there by 2pm, I waited until 2:30pm and no one showed up, I call again and was promised that someone will be there by 3:00pm, no one showed up, I called again and now he said that he is on his way. The Technician arrived at 3:30pm, this was unacceptable since my mother had no way to leave the house, I called UBER and had her picked up (cost me additional money) and return her back at home at 7pm as instructed by the technician. On another issue, I requested that Terminix provide me with a 90 day guaranty, the inspector accepted on the condition that I purchase a set of mattress and pillow covers, despite the fact that he saw that I already have two sets of these covers in my bedroom since there were two beds in there. I explained to him that these covers are very expensive ($60 per piece x 4, 2 for box springs and 2 for mattress plus $20 per pillow x 4) but he insisted that I must purchase the $180 set from Terminix which would only be good for one bed (doesn't make any sense) but I agreed just so that I get the 90 day guaranty. When the technician arrived with the new set of mattress cover, he saw that I have all the mattresses and box springs already encased with my covers and stated that my covers are better than the ones he was providing. I contacted the inspector and explained to him this finding he said he was going to call the supervisor (Dennis) and see what he can do, he called me back in 15 minutes to tell me that Dennis refused to offer guaranty unless I purchase the covers from Terminix. I accepted and made the purchase. This was a very unprofessional service, and projected that Terminix only cares about charging extra for items that were not needed. I do not recommend or use their services in the future, and I am posting this feedback on all social media so that everyone knows how they operate. I am sorry but a professional organization like Terminix should at the least be honest with their customers. Thank you. read more
