Just a few of the recent bugs.
    Ronald K.

We had been with Terminix for several years. We had an excellent technician who did a great job. Recently we started to see more and more bugs and despite rework the bugs still persist. We became so frustrated we cancelled the service just a few days after the November service. It is now 5 weeks after the service date, upon calling today to demand a refund for our frustration, the supervisor of Customer Service VERY RUDELY refused to try to make it right, nor refund the money for the poor application. The supervisor IS NOT a credit to the Terminix Brand and lastly, Terminix is doing NOTHING to address the problem. If you are looking for pest control, you might want to look elsewhere other than at Terminix.

If there was an option for NEGETIVE stars, that would be the one I'd choose! This company is terrible. I discovered dry wood termites un my kitchen cabinets about 6 months ago. I called several providers, and while Ter.inix was BY FAR the most expensive, Christian, the sales manager (his dumb ass will come up again later in this story) sold me on the fact that thier service is "bonded", and they come out as many times as needed. He gave me his cell as a contact, should I need service in the future. Well, low and behold, the first treatment was ineffective, so I texted Christian for a follow up appointment. I also inquired as to why I was being billed double for the service, as I was receiving a monthly bill from Terminix AND from thier financing company, SMAC. He told me he would follow up. Needless to say, that never happened. I tried to call and text, and he just disappeared. In the mean time, the termites continue to devour my cabinets. Eventually I stopped paying my bill. As they say, NO TICKY, NO SHIRTY"! I called thier customer service number several times, and each time, the customer service agent told me they would escalate the claim, and that I would receive a call bCk within 48 hours. Three separate calls and I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM A MANAGER...all while termites continue to chew! The last agent I spoke to really seed to give a shit, and she gave me her email to send my documentation. I sent her a dozen pictures of my damaged cabinets, piles of termite debris, and a letter requesting thar they resolve this issue for me, since it was clearly thier negligence that created the situation. And guess how they "handled" thier negligence... They CANCELLED MY CONTRACT!!! Seriously??? No call back from management? No attempt to reconcile an account they had clearly FUCKED UP!!??? All I can say about Terminix is DONT DO IT! Don't trust them with your home! Don't trust them to even run a decent business. They care about signing big contracts, but clearly don't care to SERVICE THOSE CONTRACTS. This is a sham and WHEN someone decides to start a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT for thier fraud, I WILL BE THE FIRST TO SIGN ON!

We texted, we sent e-mails. Nothing. It was not easy to hire a new company after all that time, but someone we know, who is very picky, said this company was the best. We called at about 10:30 and had someone at the house by 4:30. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and spent an hour going over our house inside and out. Within 24 hours we saw a big improvement of a problem our other company was working on for about 6 months. We did not take changing companies lightly. But we had to do what we had to do. Two small things to take note. 1.What they use is safe for pets and humans but both my husband and one of my dogs did have a slight reaction to the treatment. 2. They are not cheap. But I guess you get what you paid form Glad we made the switch. Plan on staying with them for a very long time.

Their monthly maintenance service has been incredibly beneficial. The staff I have encountered are very friendly and courteous, and have a strong knowledge of how to handle pests such as rodents. They are very respectful of the property and are aware of all the areas where you could potentially have infestations. They have made our lives a lot easier as a result of their services. Fortunately, the issues were limited to the outside, which was cheaper, obviously, and we have seen much less around our property since.

After 1/2 dozen times or so of playing I'll fill it in and you dig it out again with some little nameless, faceless albeit ambitious opponent and seeing it was now creating a burrow near my drain pipe I decided I better call professional "critter deportation. But, above all else no matter what it was I didn't want it hurt or killed. At first I didn't have an inkling what it could be and frankly I didn't care. I owned pet rats growing up so even the vilest of vermin to most people is still wrong to kill to ME! Just an FYI of useless trivia. There is an honest to God study that showed children that own rats as pets have an easier time learning concepts and remembering them. No idea why this is so, but it was a valid study. Parents, your kids need rats! But, I digress. Anyway, I began using Yelp to call several places to get prices and opinions on what it could be while avoiding the business' that showed pics of them killing intrusive animals. It's was enlightening. Like all business' you get the gamut of highly professional to rude and aloof to stupidity that even you know is wrong. One of the business' I called (on Yelp) looked at the pics and said "I'm going to do you a favor and save you a bunch of money! This is from your sprinklers." I replied really? Hmmmm that's odd because when I fill the holes the very next day there are little mounds of dirt opening the hole again with VERY obvious big claw marks in it. Plus, it's also odd because we just laid our irrigation system and we have absolutely NO piping in that area. His response: "All I can tell you is what I know, and I KNOW this is from your sprinklers." Shaking my head I was done with nonsense so after calling several and getting exorbitant fees, idiot ideas, and people who didn't call you back I finally reached Bobbie Sue the owner of AAA Critter Trapper. She responded immediately, her fees were reasonable and she could be here the next day. Can I get an Amen?!?! She also guaranteed me that she traps humanly and releases not killing or even harming the animal. She was here first thing the next day with her team. She identified the holes as being from an armadillo (other knowledgable people had advised the same) and began by fencing off all the entrances & exits and putting a trap inside. Because armadillos move around and sometime have several burrows I had been adcised already that trapping it wasn't guaranteed. She left the fencing up and the trap in it for 3 days. When nothing was found in the trap she assured me it was safe to assume the burrow was unoccupied and filling it in wasn't going to trap and kill an animal inside. Her and her team did the work filling in the holes starting with jagged marble rocks. She advised me that most animals can't or won't dig out the blunt sharp rocks that can be found at any garden center. She advised me to then cover them in top soil to allow my lawn to recover the areas and finally she advised me how to clear our lawn of Grub Worms which is what the armadillos are looking for to begin with. I was elated by her prompt response, professionalism and her regard to resolve the matter completely. The morning they came to remove the fencing and close the burrow holes it was pouring rain. Her and her team couldn't have cared less. They did the work they needed to do never making the rain an issue. I guess when your job involves working out in the elements, the elements don't stop the work. So, If you have an issue with rodents, wild life, or problems from intrusive animals I highly recommend Bobbie Sue and her team. A woman is the right man for the job!

That second part was the entire reason I chose this company over others. The iguana removal itself was completed, but then I received a bill with no mention of the critter guard. This was after they had already come out and measured for it. I had to remind them that this was the main reason I hired them in the first place. Only then did they send me a quote and schedule the installation. After the critter guard was installed, I was immediately unhappy with the workmanship. The installation looked sloppy and unprofessional, especially around my barrel tile roof. I raised concerns and had them come back to make adjustments, but even after that, it still didn't look right. They reassured me that appearance aside, it would do the job. For a short period, I saw fewer iguanas--but it was winter, so that didn't prove much. Once the weather warmed up, the problem returned. My wife and I began hearing activity on the roof again, and I personally witnessed an iguana run straight under the critter guard and into the space beneath the solar panels. When I reported this, they dismissed my concerns and claimed the product was "working" because I had seen fewer iguanas earlier. That's not what I was promised. I was told this would keep animals out--not "most" animals. They said they would come inspect it, but never communicated when they came. I had to call them, and they claimed they had already been out and determined everything was fine. This lack of communication was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. After doing my own research, I discovered the guard was installed incorrectly for a barrel tile roof. The material should have been cut and fitted to match the shape of the tiles to eliminate gaps. Instead, it appears they used a method suited for flat tile roofs. During installation, they even admitted they had forgotten my roof type, yet proceeded anyway. At this point, I simply asked them to fix the issue or refund my money. They refused both. The only thing they offered was a discount if I agreed not to leave a negative review, which I find completely unacceptable. I paid hundreds of dollars for a solution that was improperly installed and does not work as promised. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

David informed me that he observed a male woodpecker that had pecked two holes and that he could set a trap to catch him, apply a repellent to keep the bird away if the trap didn't work, and then seal the two holes afterwards. I gave him the go-ahead to do the job and foolishly gave him full payment of $350 up front. I should know better, but I trusted this guy. It is now three weeks later and, while the woodpecker is gone, the trap is still sitting on the second story window ledge outside the woodpecker's hole and both holes have not been sealed as promised. I have made numerous phone calls to David every time, there's a new excuse why he hasn't finished the job. The latest call, he told me he was in the hospital after being bitten by a snake but would have the job done by the following Tuesday or Wednesday. By Thursday, the job had not been completed, I had not received a phone call from Raccoons R Us and I called David one last time demanding that the work be done that day. He didn't have the courage to return my phone call. If in fact he was in the hospital and if his hospital stay ran longer than expected, I would think a legitimate businessman would a) call me to let me know and b) send another employee to finish the job as promised. Apparently this not a legitimate businessman and I would never recommend Raccoons R Us to anyone. I'm out $350, have to find someone else to finish the job, and I've learned a lesson the hard way.
