    Breadcrumb calamari
    ThatCatGirl T.

This is our 2nd visit. The food is not really worth the prices. The fried calamari had breadcrumbs instead of batter. In order to get that cooked, the actual calamari was overdone. The mussels were awful. Our choice was spicy or green. The liquid looked like dirty dish water and I guess that is what dirty dish water tastes like. It was more of a soup. My father loved the Del Monaco steak. A bit too fatty for me tho. The sides of rice and veg were perfection. I ordered a seafood dish and was very disappointed. The mussels were huge shells but scary looking tiny mussels. It was the same with the mussels appetizer. And they use TINY shrimp!! They over cooked it as well. It's restaurant! They should serve big, plump pieces of seafood, not shoprite sale items. Our waiter was a lot of fun and the dessert was excellent and his back up team were very nice. . We might try once more. Not sure yet

Chicken Cutlets with Garlic Sauce. Chicken was soggy.

I was visiting the area from out of town and happened upon Tero's accidentally. The very first thing I noticed when entering was that it was a Friday night prime dinner time... and there was only one other occupied table in the entire restaurant. I also want to note that the decor is very formal and stuffy with thick white table cloths. I also did not enjoy the food whatsoever. I got the chicken cutlets dinner with garlic sauce. The chicken was thicker than I expect for a cutlet and it was soggy and slimy. Both the rice and vegetables were bland and those are the two sides that come with most entrees at the restaurant. If I lived in the area, I would absolutely choose to cook my own food before spending money on the food at Tero's. Additionally, their food prices are extremely high due to giving you ridiculously massive portions. I would have appreciated the option to get a smaller portion for a cheaper price, because three whole chicken cutlets just seems excessive to me. The one star with this review is to shoutout the great service staff at Tero's. When I expressed not liking my food they tried to ask if there was anything they could do to help. They were as kind and understanding as possible.

One of my family's top restaurants to go to together, everybody's always happy with their meal and the service! I love the salmon with yellow rice, potatoes, and veggies! Drinks are always good too.

Sirloin Portuguese style steak topped with smoked ham and eggs!!! AMAZING

Our cousins brought us here and we were not disappointed!!!! The food was delicious!!! All the dishes were so flavorful, the grilled octopus was perfection and our steaks were perfectly cooked and also wonderfully flavored! The establishment was spotless and service was impeccable ! Thank you for a wonderful experience.... Oh and the espresso and desserts were a great way to end our amazing meal!!!! P.S. there is no way you could ever give this establishment less than five stars!!!

Always a great meal. Lunch specials are fantastic! Had steak with egg with vegetables. Finished with a cappuccino! Service was fast and always inviting.

    Paella Valenciana

After reading a few of the most recent comments, I was extremely hesitant about coming here. Nevertheless, I had such a craving for paella, I decided to roll the dice. To start off with, we ordered the fried calamari. My wife is always nervous with this item when we go out because it's either really good or really bad. This was really good. Not chewy at all and obviously fresh. I had to ask for another side of marinara but that's minor. The paella was excellent. Completely satisfied my craving. The portion was huge and this is coming from someone that can eat. I took a little less then half home. I got the paella Valenciana. Over loaded with seafood and chicken. My wife got the skirt steak and she said it was very good. I didn't try it, so this small segment is hearsay. To accompany our meal, we had a pitcher of sangria. The sangria was average. We've had better but it definitely wasn't one of the lower rung sangrias we've had. Service was on point. Very attentive and accommodating. I know there's a lot of negatives posted on here, but our experience was completely the opposite. Definitely on their A game when we were there.

What a hidden Gem!! At first you walk in and the restaurant looks antiquated and definitely needs a facelift but you soon forget about it when food comes out The food is full of flavor and the portions are huge so be ready to eat and still have leftovers to take home We had lobster bisque Octopus which was amazing and really want to know what was in the sauce... a hint of spiciness but not over the top We had the Delmonico steak and lobster tail w crab meat for lunch although the steak was a little fatty it was delicious and to be fair the waiter did warn me about the fat Overall amazing little spot and will definitely be back

Food is pretty good but you will need installment payment plans to be available to pay for it.

I was looking for something special for Father's Day. A treat I wouldn't normally give myself, you…read moreknow a little decadence to feed my foodie soul. I have been craving a dry aged steak for awhile now. This is the kind of steak you can't get at your local supermarket or even your neighborhood butcher. So to the trusty web I turned and in Google I found a couple options. I narrowed my selection down to StrassBurger Steaks. Their website had the goods a Foodie Father like me was looking for. With a lineage of over 150 years in the Steak business how could this selection not be the right one? I turned to my trusted advisor in these matters (YELP,) and to my surprise StrassBurger had only 1 review with 1 star and to top it off, the reviewer lives in the same state and city. Now this reviewer, from what I could tell was on a similar mission as me. The negative part of their review had to do with the delivery of the goods (from the minimal critique offered) so I did what every loyal Yelp user would do, I backed out. But I couldn't get those images out of my head. Those steaks looked so good! I searched around my local area to satisfy my craving. Alas I only found what I would describe as mediocre offerings, it was then I decided I was going to give StrassBurger Steaks a shot. I placed my order for bone-in rib steaks and a tomahawk. I made sure I would be at home to receive the delivery, like junky waiting for a fix. 16 hours later my doorbell sang the sweet songs of a FedEX delivery. I tore into the package like a child on Christmas morning, eager to inspect the goods. To my surprise, or should I say my joy, the steaks were a cool 40.0 °F a mear 8.0 °F from freezing. I know because I used a digital meat thermometer to check, since the previous review stated the warmth of the goods, but in my case everything was perfect! So with the goods in hand, I was off to the next stage in my plan. How to cook these bad boys? I decided I would go the extra step and do some reading. For the meal I came up with: * Simply seasoned with sea salt and pepper * Sear the steaks on the BBQ to get a nice crisp crust to seal in the juices * Finish them off in the oven in an old cast iron pan * Add sides Hasselback potato and garlic butter sauteed Porcini mushrooms * Homemade Bearnaise sauce I am starting to salivate while I write this as the memories of endorphins being released come flooding back. To get to the point, these were in fact the best steaks I HAVE EVER MADE. I like to think it's the attention to the details, but I can't take all the credit. Each bite of steak literally melts in my mouth. When you have such a solid base to start with, you really can't go wrong. I can without a doubt recommend ordering steaks from StrassBurger and have recommended these fine purveyors of bovine bliss to my friends and family. Like with all things in life I am glad I went this my gut instinct here and placed this order. Had I just gone with the single bad review, I would have missed out on one of the best steak dinners I have ever had. I could honestly say these steaks were on point with fancy steak houses like Ruth Chris and would order again without hesitation. Attached are photos of my journey. Happy Fathers day!

I made a reservation and they've respected my request to be seated inside. The atmosphere inside is very vivid, like the name of the restaurant... it feels like you are in a party. My only wish is that they would play Peruvian music so the experience would be more immersive with the food. The menu is big and one of the things that I've liked was to see a lot of dishes that are not common in a Peruvian Restaurant outside Perú... like Aji de Gallina, Anticuchos and Picarones. Now the most important, the food... the quality was very good, since the plates arrived to our table, the smell and the presentation was a temptation to go all the way in. The ingredients used felt fresh and made to order. Every plate had its own characteristic and flavour... good size too. The "choco lucuma" cake for dessert was a great finish... moisty and the intensity of the chocolate and lucuma flavor to a good ratio. If you have the chance to try it... go for it, you'll not regret.

The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area.
