    Breadcrumb calamari
    ThatCatGirl T.

This is our 2nd visit. The food is not really worth the prices. The fried calamari had breadcrumbs instead of batter. In order to get that cooked, the actual calamari was overdone. The mussels were awful. Our choice was spicy or green. The liquid looked like dirty dish water and I guess that is what dirty dish water tastes like. It was more of a soup. My father loved the Del Monaco steak. A bit too fatty for me tho. The sides of rice and veg were perfection. I ordered a seafood dish and was very disappointed. The mussels were huge shells but scary looking tiny mussels. It was the same with the mussels appetizer. And they use TINY shrimp!! They over cooked it as well. It's restaurant! They should serve big, plump pieces of seafood, not shoprite sale items. Our waiter was a lot of fun and the dessert was excellent and his back up team were very nice. . We might try once more. Not sure yet

Chicken Cutlets with Garlic Sauce. Chicken was soggy.

I was visiting the area from out of town and happened upon Tero's accidentally. The very first thing I noticed when entering was that it was a Friday night prime dinner time... and there was only one other occupied table in the entire restaurant. I also want to note that the decor is very formal and stuffy with thick white table cloths. I also did not enjoy the food whatsoever. I got the chicken cutlets dinner with garlic sauce. The chicken was thicker than I expect for a cutlet and it was soggy and slimy. Both the rice and vegetables were bland and those are the two sides that come with most entrees at the restaurant. If I lived in the area, I would absolutely choose to cook my own food before spending money on the food at Tero's. Additionally, their food prices are extremely high due to giving you ridiculously massive portions. I would have appreciated the option to get a smaller portion for a cheaper price, because three whole chicken cutlets just seems excessive to me. The one star with this review is to shoutout the great service staff at Tero's. When I expressed not liking my food they tried to ask if there was anything they could do to help. They were as kind and understanding as possible.

One of my family's top restaurants to go to together, everybody's always happy with their meal and the service! I love the salmon with yellow rice, potatoes, and veggies! Drinks are always good too.

Sirloin Portuguese style steak topped with smoked ham and eggs!!! AMAZING

Our cousins brought us here and we were not disappointed!!!! The food was delicious!!! All the dishes were so flavorful, the grilled octopus was perfection and our steaks were perfectly cooked and also wonderfully flavored! The establishment was spotless and service was impeccable ! Thank you for a wonderful experience.... Oh and the espresso and desserts were a great way to end our amazing meal!!!! P.S. there is no way you could ever give this establishment less than five stars!!!

    Paella Valenciana

After reading a few of the most recent comments, I was extremely hesitant about coming here. Nevertheless, I had such a craving for paella, I decided to roll the dice. To start off with, we ordered the fried calamari. My wife is always nervous with this item when we go out because it's either really good or really bad. This was really good. Not chewy at all and obviously fresh. I had to ask for another side of marinara but that's minor. The paella was excellent. Completely satisfied my craving. The portion was huge and this is coming from someone that can eat. I took a little less then half home. I got the paella Valenciana. Over loaded with seafood and chicken. My wife got the skirt steak and she said it was very good. I didn't try it, so this small segment is hearsay. To accompany our meal, we had a pitcher of sangria. The sangria was average. We've had better but it definitely wasn't one of the lower rung sangrias we've had. Service was on point. Very attentive and accommodating. I know there's a lot of negatives posted on here, but our experience was completely the opposite. Definitely on their A game when we were there.

What a hidden Gem!! At first you walk in and the restaurant looks antiquated and definitely needs a facelift but you soon forget about it when food comes out The food is full of flavor and the portions are huge so be ready to eat and still have leftovers to take home We had lobster bisque Octopus which was amazing and really want to know what was in the sauce... a hint of spiciness but not over the top We had the Delmonico steak and lobster tail w crab meat for lunch although the steak was a little fatty it was delicious and to be fair the waiter did warn me about the fat Overall amazing little spot and will definitely be back

The food and sangria are WAY overpriced. I had a paella and it was ok. Nothing special here. Service was ehh. Overall just mediocre.

Really excellent fish and chips…read more I ordered the food to go and was worried my 20+ min trip would make the crispiness of the fish and chips be lost but it didn't. The food was fresh, batter was perfectly seasoned and crisp and the fish was soft and tender. It was good and possibly better than any fish and chips I had in the UK. The chips were also nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Service was very nice. The food definitely leaves you wanting more. I wish I had ordered more so I could be eating it now. I'll definitely be back! (FYI: I ordered the lunch portion which comes with one piece of fish. Also there's a 3% credit card fee.)

As you enter there is a small waiting area and an ordering counter. Staff were very nice, cheerful, & accommodating while I waited for my order to be cooked and packaged. I didn't look into the dining room since this was a take out order. PROS: Cleanliness appears to be high on their agenda. My order consisted of Fried Oyster dinner, Fish & Chips dinner, and a Fried Shrimp & Scallops dinner. All came with French Fries and Cole Slaw. They also provided plenty of tartar and cocktail sauce. Additionally they have Malt Vinegar which is a must, at least for me when eating fish and chips. The oysters were cooked to perfection, as were the shrimp and scallops. CONS: The fish fillet was undercooked and the coating saturated with oil. I don't think the fryer was hot enough. French Fries were soggy because the steam from the closed containers. Easily solved by putting in a frying pan to crisp them up. Coleslaw was okay. As for Pricing, they are quite high for portion served. $30.00 for 2 shrimp, 2 scallops and a mound of french fries is outrageous. I can get a full seafood platter at any decent diner or restaurant for this kind of money. I think I'll look elsewhere when I get my next craving for this type of cuisine.

When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The portion size was good but again no real taste. Overall this was a nice place. I just need to study the menu and read more reviews about what to order here.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.
