We started with the sausage and peppers appetizer, which had just the right amount of spice and paired perfectly with their house-made bread and olive oil -- truly delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the linguine loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, and even a lobster tail, all served in a slightly toned-down fra diavolo sauce. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. My wife had the pan-seared branzino, made specially gluten-free, and it was perfectly done. What impressed us most is that every dish is made to order and served hot -- nothing feels pre-made here. My second time at The Four Seasons, and both times was just fantastic. The first time there I had a seafood and pasta dish as my entrée and the lobster bisque for starters. The soup was fantastic as was the pasta. The service was great. The ambience was great, I really don't have enough good things to say about this restaurant. Tonight I got a pork chop that was breaded and fried served with an arugula salad that was just perfectly cooked and a very nice portion. It was a Tuesday night so we didn't make a reservation, got their kind of late, at 8 o'clock and they close at nine. We didn't end up leaving until 930 but we're never pestered to leave. We wanted to break out of our Danbury dinner rut and try some place new so based on Yelp recommendations, we headed to 4 Seasons. The place is very nice and service is great. To start, I had some fried oysters which were very good and my husband had some tuna which he liked. His salmon entree was really good. I ordered the paella and it came loaded. It was a huge portion so you can expect to take some home. The paella was fine but it's cooked in one pan and then served on a plate. That's okay but I like it when the paella is served in a pan with the crispy rice on the bottom. This might be a different style as the restaurant is Mediterranean, not South American, but I think when it's served in the pan and some of the rice is a little burnt it gives it a more robust flavor. Definitely will go back and try something else. If you're having a special occasion, this seems to be a place to go as it seemed a lot of people were celebrating stuff when we were there. read more

Had an amazing dinner here this week! Always we are made to feel like family. The hosts and servers are just lovely. But that would mean little without amazing cuisine ! Food quality / price ( value) rating 9.5. The atmosphere is classic Italian, white tablecloths with Mediterranean accents and Italian music. We've been here five or six times and it has been consistently good. The menu is a Mediterranean mix and includes widely varied daily specials, including fresh fish on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Before oyr meal, we were served a wonderful house baked bread with butter and oil on the side - a rare treat not found at most restaurants anymore. We started by splitting a Roquefort Salad appetizer that was excellent. For an entree, I had the Chicken Balsamic with hot peppers that included baked mashed potato and green beans with a rich dark brown gravy. Excellent ! The wife had the Rigatoni Marbella with perfectly cooked Papadella (by special request) that had a delicious and unique flavor. Both the house Pinot Grigio and house Cabernet were very good. We concluded our experience by splitting a "Zabione" dessert, a table-side cooking show where egg and Marsala wine are whipped over a flame, and then poured over fresh berries. From start to finish, this restaurant met and exceeded our expectations. Eggplant & Mozzarella Appetizer:sublime. Entrees: Seafood Tagliatelle was fabulous, but the daily special Cavatelli with Sweet Sausage & Broccoli Rabe took the prize, just Superb! A delicious dessert was with ricotta cheesecake (with a song and a candle) finished our evening in style.... and the reception and table service were exemplary. Anniversary dinner. Went on a Wednesday evening. Loved the ambience and staff very polite and friendly. Service was a little slow but that's ok because we were not in a rush. Hubby had French onion soup but didn't enjoy it. I had the eggplant rozini. I'm not familiar with that dish so didn't expect the marinara sauce. Was hoping for more of a salad than a hot app. First bite was good but then got hints of freezer taste so not sure the eggplant was made fresh to order. For main hubby had the rigatoni bolognese which he enjoyed. I had the branzino special which was very good. The best part of the meal was dessert. Delicious crème brûlée and tiramisu. Wow! What an amazing find. I got there around 6:00, the place was quiet. By 6:30 people starting rolling in. By no means filling the place. Still plenty of tables. Then my food came. I ordered one of the specials that combined their home made pasta with fish, one of their specialties. It blew my mind! The flavors burst with excitement! I needed to be up in Danbury and wanted to try someplace new, liked what I read in the reviews and took a chance. OUTSTANDING! Great service, amazing sangria, and wonderful food. It's funny, it's in a little strip mall so from the outside you have no idea that this nice place with starchy white tablecloths is inside. All homemade pasta. I had the fried buratta served caprese style (a special) and also the cavatelli special with sausage, shrimp and broccoli rabe, and my husband had the Caesar salad and the Mediterranean shrimp. We ate here this evening for the first time. We were very impressed. We shared an appetizer of sausage, hot peppers, and onions on a bed of arugula. It was delicious! The sweet sausage made a great pairing with the hot peppers and onions. The portion was plenty for both of us. I had the rigatoni Marbela which was very tasty and a huge portion. My husband ordered the linguini with white clam sauce and really enjoyed it. He felt that the pasta was a bit overdone, but not to the point that it was uneatable. We ordered canoli for dessert along with espressos and sambuca. The canoli was THE BEST we have ever eaten, obviously made in house. We were served by Juan, who was an outstanding server. He made sure we had what we needed and checked in on us often. We will definitely be back. If you are in the area, this is a "must." read more

This time I noticed the portions were very small and didn't even have potatoes or rice with the entre. I ordered the special Duck and it just came with a few string beans. Hidden gem is such a great description for this wonderful spot. Came for lunch and we ordered 3 delicious meals. Spaghetti Adriatico, shrimp and chicken and a halibut special that was on daily specials menu. All fantastic! Quit an enjoyable dinner. We went to celebrate Lucille's 98th birthday. The staff was very personable but somewhat inattentive at times. We all enjoyed our reasonably priced cocktails and California Pinot Noir. The wine list is small, somewhat limited but covers most peoples' favorites. Entrees were delicious well spiced and tasty. The salmon, blacked salmon and shrimp, as well as shrimp and scallops were excellent. Our only complaint was that portions of the entrees were not hot. I stopped by on a rainy evening recently. I was in town to visit with a family member in the hospital and found this culinary beacon around the corner from where I was staying. It has been a hard day. I came in and ordered my food to go. The gracious host served me a tequila and found me a table to take a call. I ordered light. The food when I opened the lids back at the ranch was transporting. The French onion soup was rich, textured, and warming with a broth that stood alone as the star above the cheese. Top three FO Soups ever. The following sautéed calamari was equally extraordinary. Again right up there in top calamari dishes ever. Go. Go without reservations. 4 Seasons is one of my favorite restaurants in the Danbury area. The owner and all staff are so friendly and they take the best care of you. Nice atmosphere, great location close to home. Food is delicious every time. Love the fried calamari for appetizer. My husbands favorite meal here is veal Parmesan and mine is penne with vodka sauce yum!! Portions are generous and I usually have leftovers to bring home. The bartender is really nice and she makes excellent martinis. Have never had a meal we didn't like here. A nice little restaurant with good food at a reasonable price - and house made pasta! I am skeptical of most mid-priced Italian restaurants but was pleasantly surprised by this one with a decent menu, not the usual American Italian fare, and the pasta was actually house made which is had to find, and even harder at a reasonable price. It's located in a small strip mall just north if the Danbury federal prison (this location was an Indian restaurant for many years if you are familiar with the area) with a simple casual ambiance. We had the sausage appetizer which was very good, quality sausage with peppers and onions in a brown sauce. They provided a warm bread basket which I still enjoy since many places have stopped providing it. For entrées we both had pasta dishes, mine was a seafood (scallops and shrimp) which were properly cooked and good pasta and light sauce. My wife had a sausage one which was also good. we also had a bottle of Italian wine which was good and reasonable priced. Small wine selection but not being a coinsurer was good for me. read more

We just had our second meal at 4 Seasons. Both have been exceptional. The menu is a mix of Spanish and Italian. The shining star of this place is the staff and the service they provide. My wife is gluten and dairy free. I am trying to limit my carb intake. The staff has not blinked at any of our requests to modify our meals. In fact they have been delightful and accommodating. The food has all been wonderfully flavorful. All of this served up in an appealing and quite little spot. I would strongly recommend giving this place a try if you have not already! read more

The reviews we're good, so I was looking forward to trying this place. it was a disappointment. The bread was stale, plain white bread. The 4 season house salad was ok, but it was $11. The three entree's we ordered, penne vodka (thin watery flavorless sauce), St. Peter"s fish (tiny, served semi-cool, no skin with a tablespoon of mashed potato) and orecchiette (the sausage and sun dried tomato had flavor, but there was no sauce and the overall dish had little flavor. All were subpar. To top it off, they gave us Kraft style powdered cheese. It was $115 for 3 people without drinks. I don't know who is writing these reviews, or if the chef was out when we came, but the food was terrible. read more
