I was given a quote in person that was significantly lower than the quote I later received by email. When I asked about the price difference, I was unable to get a clear explanation. Ultimately, I had the exact same work completed by another gardening service for about a quarter of the price I was quoted here. I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit, and I'm more than willing to pay a fair price for quality work. However, the pricing discrepancy and lack of transparency left me feeling that the price was simply excessive. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

The entire place is very clean and well maintained, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They're open every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you're coming from east to west, you may need to make a somewhat tight left turn into the driveway, which can feel a little tricky when there's traffic behind you. Other than that small inconvenience, this is a wonderful place. Met up with a friend here and the three of us walked all the aisles and all the sections picking up the plants that struck our fancy - from flowers, to vegetables, to ground cover, to air plants, to houseplants, to fruit trees - they've got it all! Good service, clean and organized and super reasonable prices. This is far enough for us that we won't be coming here every weekend, but certainly worth making a 1-2x year trip to stock up, learn and get inspired.

So, I asked her to charge me more for more flowers $300 and go from there. Told her it's for a young man who has passed away and I want it to be special. After calling someone to make sure they can do this arrangement due to the fact that they were very busy with weddings that weekend, She assured me that it would be done and made special. She even said that they have all the flowers in-season to be able to make this spray. At he church service on Friday I was so EMBARRASSED by the arrangement. It was small and not balanced (maybe it was missing the leaves around it... not sure) but it looked terrible or maybe the florist just didn't take the time to arrange in properly. I think they should not take additional business when they cannot handle it. I know the cost of a funeral spray does not compare to the revenue they get for a wedding but this was important to me and I wanted something special for my loved one. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take a picture because I did not want anyone associating those flowers with me. After calling the store, a couple of people (Regina and then Mark) called me back and just apologized; At first offering to refund me 50% but then rescinding that offer. Their messages mentioned that I was charged appropriately for the arrangement and they would contact me but I never heard back after leaving my review. There should be better training of their staff when a customer orders so they do not give the wrong information about the size of an arrangement and also, not take on additional business when they cannot handle it. Think twice about ordering a one-off arrangement from here; their focus is only on big-ticket revenue from weddings.

We decided to call and see what they offered. Wendy was really nice and helpful. She asked what we wanted and what was the price range. We told her what we wanted and paid her and she really surprised us with the beautifully arranged orchids. You know those giant pots of yellow chrysanthemums and the giant red ribbons that we are accustomed to? Well, these aren't in, these are nice orchids she found and perfectly arranged them. David and all his team of experts did a wonderful job installing new pavers in our backyard. Our…read moreold concrete slabs were cracked, and had shifted, altering the drainage of water to flow towards our house. After interviewing many landscape pavers, Ideal Engineering stood out for being prompt to all the meetings, willing to visit multiple times to double-check measurements before bidding and were knowledgeable on the current state of available inventory and which showrooms to visit to preview them. Prices were very reasonable and transparent. There were no unplanned mark-ups and all change orders were reviewed and had to be approved by me in advance, so I could budget accordingly. I think this is an advantage of choosing a local paver. The work was efficient and professional - different specialized crews for demolition, irrigation, paving, cleanup were used with their own knowledgeable foremen. Each foremen acted as an available point of contact and communication was easy and friendly. Any texts or calls were usually returned within minutes. The teams were proactive in highlighting any complications or issues that might require design approval to make sure the work they did matched what I had in mind. For example, Pedro, the paver lead felt it was better to create a smooth curve at a corner instead of a straight 90 degree corner, and he was right! The boundaries flowed smoother and nicer with the lawn. The paving work was top-notch. We had decided to install premium pavers from Belgard, and it was important the work was done properly for such an investment. This included grading at the proper slopes for proper drainage, adding weed-resistant fabric, multiple levels of graded stone for proper leveling and polymeric sand for good sealing between pavers. The team helped build custom steps that looked very nice to create easy step-downs and paver edging was done with great style and aesthetics. For a potentially complicated project, I really felt confidence in the team and the process. David also helped offer advise in helping me move and reset our external heat pump units so that they could be reinstalled on top of the pavers. They were able to build conduits to facilitate running irrigation and electricity underneath the pavers for adding drip irrigation of containers and future lighting in our garden. Cleanup was thorough, with parts of our yard reseeded and topped with new topsoil. There was no construction debris left on our lawn or streetside. Everything was swept up. Fence gates that were temporarily removed were re-installed to appear as if nothing ever happened. I would definitely use Ideal Engineering (Ideal Landscape & Concrete) again for future projects.
