I originally discovered Terrance here on this wonderful Yelp app. One look at his pictures and I knew I wanted him to work his magic on me (Lord knows I needed it) Location: It's conveniently located on Broadway right between a bunch of shops and restaurants in an adorable second floor walk-up with a modern, chic...yet very relaxed feel. Street Parking was available 9am-6pm; 2hrs. Hair dresser: Terrance himself was an absolute delight. Very friendly, wonderful smile, highly informative when it came to my 100+ questions. I appreciate most that he took the time to listen to me explain my frustrations with my hair and did his best to come up with a solution to make my life easier and my hair a lot healthier. I came in with a head full of split ends, 1-2 inch of roots and all over damage from swimming in the ocean/pools and just poor care from myself (shame!) Price: The real meat and potatoes. I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED WITH THE PRICE TAG. For a: Consultation, wash, color correction, cut, flat iron and style I paid $150. Yes you read that right. Now, while others estimates may slight differ (everyone's hair is different!) you gotta admit that's really good. I struggled trying to find a salon that was everything I was looking for in one place with a hair dresser that would make me feel comfortable and I can't help but gush over this salon! I wasn't going to write a review because then I would be letting the cat out the bag. DARN. ok, ok, ok.. geez. My hair is really not this long. I have shoulder length hair but no ones knows that. LOL Why? because Terrance does such a wonderful job on my extensions. Yes, this 22, 24, 26, 28 inches (it depends on my mood) of hair is not mine. Ok, well technically yes it is mine and yes I grew it with the help of needle and thread. I have had my extensions done by others, but I love the way Terrance does it Best! It last way longer and look very natural. And that's allot harder to do because I have thick hair, a big head and I want to add 12 oz of hair to my head. LOL Terrance is great at what it do. I call him my hair magician. He listens and do exactly what you want. I have had days where I am very specific and days where I leave it all up to him. I really like this salon. It's a spin -off from Envy Beauty Studios that used to be down the street and I have written about them before. I was there the first full week the salon was open and I love the way it looks and how it will evolve. There is a small group of stylists from the other salon and they all rock. Located right above Olive's on Broadway, this is a great view of the swaying palm trees and lots of open windows which makes for a better scene than cars parking on the street. It also means if you are there longer than you anticipated you can go grab something to munch on from downstairs. Sharoni has been my stylist for a while and I have talked to Terrance a lot- (a genius with externsions. We had quite the conversation about extensions after I did that story on them.) His attention to detail is really great and I found the vibe and feel of the salon to be more upbeat and I like the old school music. Love the place.. the services they have are great and they LISTEN to what you want to do. I think this is one of my local faves! read more

Terrance is a not so hidden gem in our city. I've been going to him for years now and I can't remember ever getting a bad cut. He can literally make my hair do anything. He's a bit of a perfectionist and I personally love it when I notice the level of detail and concentration he puts into my hair. Plus, he's a super cool, nice guy who I look forward to seeing during my standing 3-week apart appointments. We have the most fun and sometimes silly conversations. People watching out of the second story window that overlooks Broadway is always interesting. Oh... and how can I forget to mention Otro, the lazy salon puppy. I friggin love this place! Hi. I haven't had my hair cut here but Terrance and I go back 20 years. He's cut my hair for most of the time I've known him. Hands down the best haircut I've ever had. This review is for Priscilla at Terrance Salon! She is amazing and awesome and I would follow her anywhere (see my last review for her at Salon Envy). Priscilla has a way of cutting my unruly hair in a way that makes it cooperate with me--something that has never happened with stylists before. She quite literally has me near throwing my straightener and curling iron out the window. I just have to add a little product and I am good to air dry! Terrance is freaking amazing!!!! I have been going to him for a couple years, and my hair has become so much longer and healthier. He knows exactly what your hair needs to make it gorgeous! Me, 2 of my cousins, and my mom all go to him now. We all have different types of hair and no matter what he does it's always amazing! He is an excellent colorist, which I have seen in my cousins' hair. I have had extensions done by him that were beautiful and perfectly matched. And my mom and I both get Brazilian blowouts now, which always comes out great. On top of the great service, the salon itself is great. It's open and lofty and has a great vibe, surrounded by awesome art pieces all over. You can tell Terrance put his heart into this place and gives great attention to detail. 5 stars all the way!
