The patio is great in the summer. Highly recommend coming during happy hour. Posted a previous review but I feel things have become mediocre here both in terms of food and service. Had the tacos which were pretty marginal. Spice up with some color instead of a bland look (red tomato or green cilantro). Our first experience was not good. service was slow, food was so so. it was an extremely busy night for them and we had a party of 10, so we decided to give it a second look midweek. When we arrived around 5pm, there was plenty of seating available. We were asked to wait, even though there was no one else waiting. After a few minutes we were seated and given menus. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes - no waitress, no water nothing. People who came in after us got water, ordered drinks. The bartenders, who were not busy stared at us from the bar. On a whim we thought we would give them another try so I called ahead to see if they take reservations or if we could put our name on a waiting list. This is a beautiful restaurant with an amazing water view. We had great drinks blood orange margaritas, watermelon Paloma and a sunrise for my hubby. Kayla did an amazing job getting our food out. This place is suffering from the national staff shortage thing that slowed down service. The view and breeze made it a nonissue for us. I had the best steamed clams with chorizo and Serrano peppers. But they do give you a bunch of like a cole slaw on the side. Also order the stake and chorizo? Skewers... It was just a regular sausage with no taste of chorizo .. the steak was okay . This is only our second time at Terraza but again it was excellent. We went for restaurant week, which gives three options for the first, second, and main dish. I went with the tequila clams with chorizo which was a great choose. My second was the pork chili. This was pretty good but didn't wow me. I just thought it needed more flavor. Last was the sirloin with mole sauce. This was excellent! We also had a flight of various margaritas. Terraza is known for their great drinks and none disappointed. read more

Terrazza Waterfront was a great find for dinner in Coeur d'Alene. We sat in the bar area to watch the World Cup, but they have a nice patio, which has a beautiful view of the river and even dock space if you're coming by boat -- such a nice setup for a summer evening. I had the skirt steak tacos, which were excellent, and my husband got the steak and chorizo skewers; both were full of flavor. My watermelon Paloma was refreshing and perfectly balanced. The guacamole tasted store bought and scooped out a container and the queso was very liquid-y. I wouldn't come back or recommend this spot. I want to love this place! The positives are the view, the drinks are good and the guacamole is next level amazing and I'm not a guac person. But every single time I come here there's a problem with my order. The first time it was that they were out of the steak skewers. It happens; but instead of asking what I would want instead I was brought chicken skewers. Which would have been fine but I was kind of thrown off that I wasn't told about the switch. Also that night it took 1.5 hours to get my dinner but it was summer and they were busy. I was also still charged for the steak. 2nd time it wasn't busy at all and I ordered the island chicken skewers and they came super pink, tasted a little fatty and the rice was a very small portion. Ate here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Overall we enjoyed the food both times. A few critiques - I had the fried chicken Cobb both times and the chicken was MUCH better at lunch, perfectly cooked. At dinner I got half the amount of chicken and it was dry, but the salad itself is very good. Beef Empanadas were good just really small. Fried chicken plate comes with Brussel sprouts that have a very sweet sauce that dominated the rest of the dish. Tacos were good, but small for the price. Service was pretty good. We had 7 adults and a 2 year old. They added automatic gratuity since we had 8 pax. Odd since the 8th person was a toddler, but we left that alone. There was only 1 bartender and it took a LONG time to get drinks initially and a few for 2nd round. $500 for 7 adults and a toddler. 4 apps, entrees, no dessert and not a lot of alcohol. But it's a tourist area and right on the water so you pay extra for that. read more

Okay, so I will "assume" that Terazza must have read my last review, and I am glad they did! I had another dinner at Terazza, this time with another client and his wife, as well as my wife. My wife ordered a steak (PNW style), as did my client, while my client's wife ordered the halibut, and I ordered the lamb. To our waiter's credit (the same one I had last time), he gave me the "heads up" that the lamb portion was on the small side (which it was), which I was okay with knowing my wife would not finish her generous portion of steak that I knew was coming. The food arrived at our table in two shifts, the men's service first (we waited), and about 2 minutes later, our wives' dishes arrived. Before our waiter left after delivering the dishes, he kindly asked those who had steak to cut it open to be sure they were prepared to their liking...this was unexpected and something I believe that "all" wait staff should get into the habit of doing. There is nothing worse than having your food delivered, the waiter/waitress leaves only to return 10 minutes later to ask how your dish is after you have been sitting there not wanting to eat due to the condition of your meal. On to my lamb and my client's wife's fish. The lamb, while a modest portion, was very tasty and worth every bite - I would encourage anyone who orders this to not be shy about picking it up by the bone to get every bit of the tasty meat. While I did not have a taste, apparently the fish was "delicious", this coming from a woman who is used to freshly caught and expertly prepared halibut... So...I am definitely coming back and will not hesitate to bring a client or friends here. Perhaps the previous experience was only a 'fluke"?
