Food (5/5): Got the seafood mixed grill, Apperol Spritz, cichetti combo, and coca cola. The chichetti was good and we got salmon, tomato, sardine, and white fish cream. The mixed grill was amazing and super fresh with a variety of fish, octopus, squid, and shrimp. Service (5/5): Servers were helpful and food came at a good pace considering it was a fresh mixed seafood grill. The server helped plate it for us and remove bones. Ambiance (4/5): Ambiance of the outdoor seating area with the view was amazing. It was spacious with a beautiful view of the waterfront and some canals. The only issue was that there was a bee during our meal that kept hovering over our food. They didn't get rid of it until after we finished eating. read more

I had an amazing experience at Terraza dei Nobili. I had a wonderful salmon steak with a pistachio crust and mustard sauce, and it was honestly the best dish I've had on this trip--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For dessert, I tried a cappuccino and a really unique meringue that ended up being such a fun surprise. The atmosphere was warm and very welcoming, but what really stood out was the service. Our server was kind, attentive and seemed very happy to serve us. At the end of the meal they even brought us complimentary limoncello shots, which was the perfect finishing touch. Nice views but that's where "nice" mostly ends. Terrazza dei Noboli felt like a tourist trap. We appreciated being able to sit outside near the water. The service was ok. The food varied. We liked our drinks and our appetizers, everything else was ok. You are paying extra for the views. read more

After a long trip from Rome, we asked our hotel receptionist for a restaurant recommendation. She recommended this place and we arrived around 3 and were skeptical cause it was empty. Now we can't seem to understand why it was empty!! We ordered the lasagna, grilled scampi, and mixed grilled fish platter. It was all amazing! All four people are happy and full. The grilled fish was so fresh and the scampi was so well seasoned. Lasagna had great sauce as well, way better than anything we had in Rome!! The view is beautiful and the drinks were great. However, one of the waiters at the pier was extremely rude. After already being seated at the pier the server rudely shooed is off the pier because we just wanted drinks. While I understand the rules, the way we were treated was not correct. read more

This was such a disappointment. What a simply gorgeous spot but the food was very mediocre. They failed to serve an order of Shrimp Scampi my daughter ordered, and realized as our dessert was being served. They apologized and we said it was fine. I asked them to remove it from the bill. The views from the the all'aperto dining area are stunning at this Venetian restaurant. I had a pizza with rocket (arugula) and fresh tomatoes. It was delicious and by far the best pizza I had in Italy. My daughter's rigatoni bolognese was also delicious. The servers were well trained and did an excellent job. read more

We were trying to stay clear of the crowds and happened on Terrazza by chance. It is located on the south side of the island and sits at the edge of the water with a beautiful view. Terrazza is not a tourist restaurant as it is far from the "happening" area of Venice. As such it is quiet with a very nice ambiance. We were seated by our waiter Andrea who was friendly, helpful and attentive. We started with their house wine which was surprisingly good and added to our relaxing evening. Next we ordered two appetizers, we were fooled by the reasonable price thinking they would be "appetizer" portions. The mussels and Cicchetti were meal size portions, too late we had already ordered three entrees also priced reasonably. The three of us could not finish our meals that were beautifully presented with aroma and taste to match. Post dinner we were given an excellent limoncello, a great way to finish a delicious meal. Nice view but busy water traffic in front of the outdoor seating. Note that there is a 3 Euro cover charge to sit outside (Copeta). This is stated on the menu but the menu is busy with multiple languages so easy to miss. Service was so so at best. Not unfriendly, but not friendly, and out food came out at different times. Food was barely average. The place looks higher end, but definitely not. Quite a few take out places are better. You are paying for the view and nothing else. There are better choices. read more

The food was great (first meal in Italy though), but we were very disappointed in the service. No smile at all from our waiter and he was doing the minimum. We had the dinner of Capodanno there, then went on a 10min. walk to Punta della Dogana to watch fireworks. It was a very tasty and reasonably priced dinner. There are few times when I am at a loss for words, and tonight was one of those nights. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in Italy. We waited 20 minutes before having to ask for service. Our appetizer came out with the rest of our food and my dish came 30 minutes after my friends were done eating. It tasted like mystery meat and was definitely not what I ordered. After expressing my concern to numerous people including one of the owners, nobody ever apologized and everyone was extremely rude making me feel like I was in the wrong. The location is ideal on the water .. but that's it ..ordered roast beef with potatoes and my son preferred beef fillet .. medium well. They were identical except for the piece of meat ... the roast beef was leather to put it nicely .. the fillet was as rare as it can get !
